Titan King: Ascension of the Giant Chapter 1401 Gathering of Demigods

Previously on Titan King: Ascension of the Giant...
Aina marveled at the first bloom of the Blood Curse Tree in Grimm before joining the procession to the Sacrificial Plaza, where thousands of slumbering adventurers—trapped by the Slumber Plague—awaited their fate as offerings to the Stoneheart God. Dressed as the serene Saintess, she paid tribute to the plague's creator, Tangere, and placed the idol of Orion on the obsidian altar, summoning the four Divine Envoys—Kharos, Raveth, Ashkar, and Eryx—to their positions. As the cultists prayed in unison, Aina triggered the ritual, unleashing a blood-red formation that drained the victims' vital essence and souls amid their desperate screams, culminating in a wave of crimson light that infused the faithful with intoxicating power.

"Hahaha... The Great One has responded to our calls!"

"This is genuine! True divine might is at work here!"

"A miracle... without a doubt, a miracle!"

"Could this signal the rise of a fresh Holy Order?"

"My power... it's been stuck in place for ages, yet now it's rushing forward. I sense it—I'm advancing!"

At first, skepticism spread wildly through the second batch of Hellscream recruits. Plenty questioned whether ordinary folks from a remote place like Grimm could actually link up with a deity.

Yet with the raw surge of energy pulsing in their blood, belief became unavoidable now.

Of course, the divine gifts weren't handed out evenly. The ones showing the deepest devotion and the grandest offerings gained the biggest boons.

This shone brightest in the four Divine Envoys: Kharos, Raveth, Ashkar, and Eryx. Their abilities smashed old boundaries, propelling them straight into Legendary status.

Naturally, this wasn't power born from within themselves. They drew on Orion's godly essence, boosted to mimic a Legend's force. It mirrored how Orion empowered the Jester and the Witch of the Cult of Four—lending a sliver of his divinity to Hellscream's followers.

"This cursed realm... it has to transform!"

Kharos, famed as The Phantom of the East, tilted his head skyward and bellowed, his form shrouded in a blood-red light.

"The moment to reshape the world's balance arrives."

Raveth, dubbed The Shadow of the West, uttered the words with a serene, chilling assurance. A man in his middle years with locks of gold and piercing eyes, he radiated the refined allure of a battle-hardened hunter.

"Vengeance. Vengeance. Vengeance!"

Ashkar, The Scourge of the South, bowed his head, yet his clenched jaws failed to hide the burning fury in his voice.

"O God, welcome your devoted follower!"

Eryx, The Iron of the North, dropped to his knees on the rough earth, quaking with complete reverence.

Aina observed the spectacle. She realized that once this night ended, Hellscream's reach would grow enormously.

Her mission now involved guiding these strengthened fanatics to block the Holy Order's leading forces.

"I'll cut them down every last one," she murmured.

"The vanguard's skulls will merely whet the appetite for our domain's thunderous cry."

Titanion Realm, Stoneheart City.

Inside the castle's depths, Orion gradually lifted his eyelids. His stare cut through the rock, locking onto the Dragonflight's southern domains.

"So, a Dragon race Demigod has at last arrived?" he whispered. "Looks like they refuse to relinquish their portion of the Titanion Realm. They might even eye the incoming otherworld set to fuse with ours."

Rising to his feet, Orion took one stride and disappeared from the throne.

Marina City.

Within her opulent sleeping quarters, Mermaid Demigod Seraphina shifted in her slumber. Disregarding the fine silk gown sliding off her shoulders to gather at her hips, she unwillingly parted her lashes.

"Why have I been so sleepy these days?"

She rose, detecting the abrupt ripple in space left by Orion's departure. Draping a cloak around herself, she melted into nothingness, trailing his path.

The Void Passage, Between Worlds.

As Orion appeared, the assembly had begun. Evander, the Human Demigod, and Kairon, the Siren Demigod, stood there. With them was a strange Demigod of the Dragon race.

Orion prepared to talk when space flickered nearby. Seraphina materialized, promptly linking her arm with his.

He glanced her way. Facing her stunning allure, he merely grinned, staying quiet.

"Gentlemen, an alliance is essential," Kairon declared, his voice somber. "A real alliance. A solid united force."

The Siren Demigod appeared changed from past meetings. He avoided looking at Seraphina entirely, behaving as though the gorgeous mermaid wasn't there—or like he outright despised her.

Orion cast a quick look at Seraphina. She grasped his intent right away.

You believe everyone's like you? Scattering affection all over, your mind and realm crammed with nothing but females?

Her words rang in his thoughts, a mind-link gripe tinged with playfulness.

Though Seraphina often seemed aloof and idle, she caught every detail. She knew full well Orion had added Ava to the Stoneheart Horde. Rolling her eyes, she squeezed his arm tighter in fondness while delivering a firm, cautionary nip.

"I am Tyras. I speak for the Dragonflight," the new arrival stated. He gave a small bow, aiming to get acquainted with this realm's key figures. "What might I call you all?"

"I am Evander, standing for Humanity."

"I am Kairon."

Once introductions wrapped up, Evander and Kairon both eyed the pair.

"I am Orion," the giant replied evenly. "And this is my wife, Seraphina. We stand for the Stoneheart Horde and the Mermaid Race."

Seraphina said nothing, nestling closer to Orion. His words—especially "my wife"—delighted her greatly. So pleased, she had no urge to chat with these minor outsiders.

"So, you're the Giant King? A pleasure," Tyras remarked.

Orion himself was legendary—the top name of this age in the Titanion Realm. Tyras felt real curiosity. To him, thriving amid veteran Demigods showed real skill.

"Enough with the chit-chat," Kairon cut in, keen to dive back into the issue. "The outlook is dire. The Insectoid Race's spread in the seas has gone beyond my darkest fears. The danger to our survival will surely rise from the waters."

This gathering mattered hugely to Kairon; he sought partners. Though most of the ocean fell under his control, he couldn't watch every hidden crevice or underground stream. Such shadowy spots made ideal lairs for ocean bugs.

Kairon had razed endless nests, but it proved futile. Each colony he smashed birthed another from its ashes.

Even worse, certain sea insects were adapting. They developed awareness, dodging the Sea Race's guards. Some massive groups flipped the script, striking and wiping out the extermination squads.

Kairon saw he couldn't eradicate them solo. He shifted to guarding a central area, building a secure haven as the seas elsewhere raged in chaos.

"It's not only the oceans," Evander said darkly. "The continents fare no better. We slaughter them too slowly. Their growth speed is horrifying. Even before the otherworld arrives, I dread a draining internal conflict."

The opposite landmass was Evander's domain, and he endured the identical horror. The Insectoids acted like an undying scourge.

"Orion, your thoughts?" Tyras inquired, turning to the giant after the others' woes.

Orion and Seraphina formed a single bloc. Orion's stance could sway the whole Titanion Realm.

"Gentlemen, no need for beating around the bush," Orion stated firmly. "I figure you, much like the Stoneheart Horde, have already claimed your stakes in other realms."
