Then, Let Them Offer Their Loyalty! Chapter 1735 - 709: Qiu Tu: My Will Is the Law (Monthly Ticket Request) (Part 2)
Previously on Then, Let Them Offer Their Loyalty!...
"Anyone who defies my will is transgressing the rules and disturbing the Order!"
"I shall send them to join Longchuan Ying, Heavenly Fury, and Beize!"
Upon hearing Qiu Tu's overwhelmingly dictatorial proclamation, the leaders present momentarily stiffened, some even showing a trace of a frown.
Qiu Tu's declaration was undeniably too arrogant; even the four Divine Kings, who had governed the Boundless Heart Sea for centuries, would not have dared to utter such presumptuous words.
A palpable tension filled the air as a result, with leaders exchanging furtive glances, attempting to discern each other's reactions.
Qiu Tu observed their hesitations with an air of indifference, even affording them ample time for covert communication and contemplation.
After a pause lasting more than twenty seconds, Qiu Tu narrowed his eyes, surveying the assembly. "I have granted you sufficient time, and you should have reached a conclusion by now," he declared.
"Now, declare yourselves. Who supports me? Who opposes?"
Indeed, every individual present was a significant figure within the Boundless Heart Sea. Some had lived for centuries, contemporary with the four Divine Kings themselves.
Throughout the years, while serving the four Divine Kings like loyal retainers, they had at least been afforded a semblance of respect.
Qiu Tu, however, displayed no such courtesy, not even a pretense of it.
This blatant disregard left the assembled leaders feeling profoundly uneasy.
Nevertheless, discomfort did not automatically translate to opposition. They could comply with Qiu Tu's commands without feeling the need to grovel before him.
Furthermore, Qiu Tu had not pre-arranged any confederates or loyalists to voice immediate support, leaving the gathering in an unnerving silence.
No one voiced dissent, yet no one offered their allegiance either.
Typically, in such a scenario, a superior would recognize a flaw in their strategy, modify their approach, or perhaps arrange for an ally to break the deadlock.
Qiu Tu, however, seemed to disregard established conventions entirely.
A subtle darkening of his expression accompanied his gaze as he scanned the leaders. "Since no one speaks, I shall select a few individuals," he stated slowly.
His eyes then settled upon Morioka, the Pavilion Master of the Sun Pavilion, whose Loyalty score was a mere 9 points. "Pavilion Master Morioka, what are your thoughts?"
Morioka's heart lurched at Qiu Tu's summons. He was bewildered as to why he, out of so many, had been singled out.
His mind raced, scrambling for a suitable response.
Before he could formulate one, Qiu Tu's voice pierced the air once more. "You deliberate too slowly. Go and join Heavenly Fury."
As the words were spoken, Morioka felt an overwhelming terror flood his being.
He perceived, inexplicably, that he was facing the most critical life-or-death junctucture of his existence.
He understood that even a moment's delay could lead to his complete annihilation, and thus, he hastily blurted out, "I agree!"
"Boom!"
His premonition, however, proved tragically inaccurate. For before even a second elapsed after his cry of agreement, Qiu Tu clenched his fist with immense force!
In the following instant, his formidable Divine Body seemed to be assailed by an irresistible power, erupting violently!
Flesh and blood splattered, staining the Western Kingdom's table as fragments rained down.
Even the most resolute and composed leaders present could not stifle involuntary gasps of shock.
They were aware of Qiu Tu's eccentric and domineering nature, but they had never anticipated such extreme displays of power!
Morioka was an Eighth Rank Peak Great Evil God! At any given moment, he stood at the apex of the Boundless Heart Sea's power hierarchy.
In an era devoid of Heavenly Gods, he was undoubtedly a supreme expert. Yet, Qiu Tu had annihilated him with a single gesture?
Was Qiu Tu utterly unconcerned about inciting public outrage or unsettling the other Eighth Rank Great Evil Gods?
As the leaders remained frozen in astonishment.
Qiu Tu spoke again.
His finger, like the harbinger of doom from Yama himself, shifted to an elder standing near Morioka. "You speak," he commanded.
This elder, perhaps standing too close, was partially coated in Morioka's blood and appeared utterly dazed.
Upon Qiu Tu's instruction, he parted his lips, attempting to utter a word.
Qiu Tu, however, frowned once more. "Why are you also so slow?"
"Go and join Heavenly Fury as well."
With his pronouncement, another thunderous "Boom!" reverberated through the hall, and the elder, whose Loyalty score was a mere 13 points, also exploded violently, mirroring Morioka's fate!
Had Qiu Tu only eliminated Morioka, some might have dismissed it as an extreme, albeit inappropriate, method of asserting dominance.
However, with the subsequent annihilation of another Eighth Rank Evil God, the leaders present sensed a deeply disturbing pattern.
"Damn it. Is Qiu Tu intending to eliminate us all directly?"
And as these thoughts crossed their minds, Qiu Tu's finger moved once more. He shifted his gaze to another leader seated beside Morioka, one who also possessed a mere 18 points of Loyalty, and commanded, "You speak."
This leader, having clearly observed the prior exchanges with Morioka and the elder, responded swiftly, "I agree!"
A slight smile graced Qiu Tu's lips as he gently shook his head. "It is 'approve,' not merely 'agree.'"
"You should go as well."
"Boom!"
The demise of a third Eighth Rank expert sent ripples of unease through the assembled leaders. Some even began entertaining thoughts of a daring escape.
However, at that precise moment, Qiu Tu's voice, calm and deliberate, cut through the tension. "Have you forgotten my earlier words?"
"My will is the established rule."
"I decreed that you remain seated; who among you dares to rise?"
"Be silent and sit there, obediently!"
Following Qiu Tu's pronouncement, an overwhelming and terrifying power descended upon every leader in the vicinity, pinning them in place.
