Liu Zheng gains a new passive skill, "Sword Technique Endowment." He addresses missed calls, discussing flower seeds with Shi Tiantian and the rules of the Ten Thousand Great Mountains with Shi Yidao. He then helps Ma Baoli with plans to reopen her martial arts school, suggesting she challenge other schools and implement a tiered teaching system for secret techniques. Finally, Liu Zheng confronts Shi Yidao's ultimate move, "Renxia One-Slash Style: Sea Overturning Heaven Slash," by realizing his own motivations for survival and dignity, allowing him to counter with his own powerful slash.
After concluding the call, Liu Zheng dialed Luo Ping once more.

"How are you feeling now?"

Concern was evident in his initial inquiry.

"Quite well, thank you."

Luo Ping responded courteously.

There was a genuine sentiment behind his reply.

While working for Liu Zheng wasn't precisely effortless, he no longer had to fret over the future of Morrison Primary School.

"I have another assignment for you, then."

Liu Zheng proceeded to inform him about Shi Yidao.

"Understood. I’ll head out immediately."

Luo Ping agreed without hesitation.

"Can your current condition handle it?"

Liu Zheng inquired, his brow furrowed.

"Given my state, what’s one more go-around? It hardly matters anymore."

Luo Ping had already come to terms with his fate.

Utilizing his special ability directly drained his Vitality. Though he could recuperate some of it through proper sustenance and rest, his body was akin to a severely damaged vehicle; even with extensive repairs, it could never quite return to its pristine condition.

"I will devise a method to procure something that can prolong your lifespan later on."

Liu Zheng made a solemn promise.

"Thank you, boss."

Luo Ping expressed his gratitude sincerely.

He understood Liu Zheng's character: when he made a promise, no matter how outlandish, he would fulfill it, by any means necessary.

"Good. Focus on your task; I will take care of everything else."

Liu Zheng reiterated, his tone firm.

Among his subordinates, Luo Ping possessed the most humble origins, the widest range of experiences, and his profession as a detective meant his mind was often shrouded in complexity. When the opportunity arose, providing some form of psychological support was indeed necessary.

After ending that call, Liu Zheng proceeded to contact the next person on his list.

"Liu Zheng, you’ve finally called me back!"

Vampire Sister exclaimed with delight.

"Indeed, I simply dozed off earlier and have only just woken. What did you need?"

Liu Zheng kept his explanation brief to avoid causing her unnecessary worry.

"Do you happen to know anyone within the Security Department?"

Vampire Sister posed her question.

"I do. What is it concerning?"

"Didn't I mention I was planning to attend a clan gathering?"

Vampire Sister reminded him.

"Ah, yes. I was wondering why you didn't reach out last night."

He recalled the detail and added.

"It was because the gathering was abruptly canceled."

Vampire Sister revealed.

"What? How come?"

Liu Zheng inquired, feigning surprise.

"Apparently, while they were making preparations, the Security Department conducted a sudden raid. They discovered illegally stored blood, and the entire group was apprehended in a single sweep!"

Vampire Sister explained.

"You sound almost pleased about this."

He commented, a hint of accusation in his voice.

"Because I wasn't caught! They were making arrangements that afternoon, and I was still at my job. Hehe~"

Vampire Sister chuckled smugly.

"So, the life of a wage slave spares one from such entanglements, eh?"

Liu Zheng quipped.

"Yes, yes. Regardless, you still haven't answered my question!"

Vampire Sister raised her voice, her tone insistent.

"Didn't I just say? I know people. So, what next?"

"Then, please help me investigate. They managed to send out a message saying they were framed and hope I can assist them."

Vampire Sister requested.

"They aren't that close to you, are they? Why would they turn to you instead of their own kin?"

Liu Zheng probed.

"Because they suspect their own family orchestrated the frame-up. Blood Clan families operate like that. After all, blood relatives acquired through a bite are a mere commodity; compared to genuine familial bonds, there's far more scheming and competition for resources."

As Vampire Sister spoke, a subtle weariness tinged her voice.

"Then why do you wish to help them?"

He inquired.

If this wasn't directly related to Vampire Sister's personal affairs, he would need to gauge the level of effort required based on her inclination.

"My parents are deceased, my Blood Father is gone, and my siblings were dispatched by my own hand. I have at least a thousand years ahead of me; surely, I need some semblance of a home?"

Vampire Sister stated nonchalantly.

"Have you ever considered creating some bloodline descendants?"

Liu Zheng ventured.

"Being part of the Blood Clan isn’t all that glamorous. We can't tolerate sunlight, we're particular about our food, and we must sleep in coffins lest our minds decay. My intellect wasn't particularly sharp to begin with, and if I were to sire bloodline descendants, I'd constantly have to guard against them usurping their Blood Father. It's simply too much of a hassle."

Vampire Sister shook her head.

It’s worth noting that Vampires possessed the ability to alter their gender. Consequently, lower-ranking Vampires referred to the higher-ranking Vampire who initially embraced them as their “Blood Father,” irrespective of gender.

"If I were ever to have children, I’d only want them with Liu Zheng, hehe~"

Vampire Sister added with another giggle.

"Right. As if. You lot can barely handle Black Mountain Goat Cub blood, and you dream of having children with me? Don’t let City Hall eradicate your entire lineage in the process."

Liu Zheng rolled his eyes.

"I’d still be willing, hmph!"

Vampire Sister retorted stubbornly.

"Willing, my foot. Is that the only reason? No other benefits involved?"

He inquired once more.

"Naturally, there are advantages. They possess far more wealth than I do. Should I manage to guide them out, they've pledged to reward me with three million."

The Vampire Sister explained.

"And?"

While three million was a substantial sum, it wasn't exceptionally large in Liu Zheng's estimation.

"And various items exclusive to the Blood Clan. Even if I were to tell you, it would likely mean nothing to you. However, there is one particular item I am certain you would desire."

The Vampire Sister continued.

"What item is it?"

Liu Zheng's curiosity was piqued.

"Hehe, give me a kiss first, and then I shall reveal it to you."

The Vampire Sister acted in a coquettish manner.

"Smooch, smooch, smooch. Is that sufficient?"

"Don't treat me dismissively; I am not some sort of pampered canine!"

The Vampire Sister expressed her displeasure.

"I am, I am indeed your devoted canine. I shall stand tall to be your protective shield and lie down to be your comfortable resting place, would that suffice?"

Liu Zheng attempted to placate her.

"Hehe, Liu Zheng, my big dog~"

The Vampire Sister chirped.

"Woof, woof, woof. Very well, reveal the item now."

He urged her onward.

"Alright~ They possess a small stone slab, which they discovered within a Mummy they consumed previously. Are you not familiar with Mummies? I surmised it might prove useful, so I requested they include it for me as well."

The Vampire Sister disclosed.

"Not too shabby. You actually recalled it. I shall offer you a word of commendation for that."
