Liu Zheng is tasked by the Tomb Guardian to resolve a foul odor plaguing the cemetery within a week, receiving a document appointing him to the task. After an agonizing encounter with the overwhelming stench that nearly overwhelms him, Liu Zheng is whisked away to the Gobi Desert on a horse. There, he discovers the horse has died but is revived by a phantom bullet, only for the Tomb Guardian to reveal the odor is the cemetery's problem and Liu Zheng must fix it.

"What about me?"

Liu Zheng entered the lounge, and Niu Ma's large head craned forward.

"What's troubling you? Do you also desire to sample that ultimate foul broth?"

He inquired, looking perplexed.

"I believe your thoughts are solely occupied by that ultimate foul broth. Such prime beef, and you neglect to reserve a portion for your superior, instead setting it aside for that feline?"

Niu Ma voiced his displeasure indignantly.

"Is there not beef jerky available? Next time, I shall set some aside for you, would that be acceptable?"

Liu Zheng responded with a sigh of helplessness.

This individual had partaken in numerous employee meals provided by him, and invariably, whenever delectable food or drink was present, Niu Ma was always prioritized. Yet, he remained unsatisfied, exhibiting an insatiable greed.

"Next time could be an arbitrary point in the future. Regardless, you are indebted to me for a bottle from the Du Kang Wine Workshop."

Niu Ma declared with an air of entitlement.

"If your desire is for spirits, simply state it directly; there's no need for such theatrics."

Liu Zheng rolled his eyes and presented him with a bottle of Copper Mark.

Incidentally, a considerable quantity of Du Kang Wine remained in the possession of Dwarf Yan Xu. It was imperative to devise a method for fulfilling his commission, lest there be insufficient supply for this congregation of home-bound revelers to squander.

He retrieved the note Yan Xu had provided and examined the two workshop addresses indicated thereon.

"Hmm, on my subsequent delivery run, I shall investigate these two establishments."

Liu Zheng reached a conclusion.

Should they prove unwilling to sell, he would lodge a complaint with the City Supervision Department.

However, prior to that course of action, it would be prudent to first make contact with the Sanitation Department.

"Nigga, what's occurring?"

Liu Zheng initiated a call to Black Skull.

"What else but patrolling the thoroughfares? It's the arduous and unclean labor our department undertakes."

Black Skull replied in a tone of irritation.

"Who has provoked your ire this time?"

He inquired.

"Did those Fly Men not undergo an evolution the other day? This morning, the captain announced temporary worker reassignments. Damn it, I've been leading them for over a decade without any rotation, and as soon as they evolve, rotations are implemented. It's clearly a case of reaping the rewards of another's efforts."

Black Skull grumbled his grievances.

"Do you have any knowledge of their reassignment destinations?"

Liu Zheng inquired.

"Each individual receives an assignment, but the Fly Man Leader is being placed under Deputy Captain Wild Boar. It's undoubtedly that swine's machinations."

Black Skull spoke with considerable bitterness.

It is often said that a thousand soldiers are easily gathered, but a capable commander is a rarity. While other evolved Fly Men certainly possess utility, the evolved Fly Man Leader stands as the most valuable asset.

Possessing such an entity is akin to having a formally employed subordinate under one's command, one who exhibits absolute obedience and requires no compensation.

The reason Wild Boar did not appropriate all the evolved Fly Men is presumably to foster solidarity amongst other team members, thereby coercing Black Skull into acquiescence.

"Has a formal notice been issued?"

Liu Zheng asked.

"Not yet, merely a verbal notification."

Black Skull shook his head.

"That is fortuitous. Can your captain unilaterally make such a decision?"

He inquired once more.

"Most likely."

Black Skull responded.

"Do not equivocate with 'most likely.' Your immediate task, Nigga, is to ascertain with absolute clarity. Is this decision emanating from your captain, or is there a higher authority involved?"

Liu Zheng stated in a tone that admitted no room for debate.

"Very well, I shall depart immediately. On a related note, for what purpose did you summon me?"

Black Skull inquired.

"My own matter is not pressing; attend to yours first."

He replied.

There remains a full week, thus no urgency is required.

Furthermore, assisting Black Skull in resolving this predicament would serve to elevate his standing within the Sanitation Department, thereby facilitating his future endeavors.

"Brother, your words render me speechless. No further explanation is necessary; from this moment forth, your concerns are my concerns. Should you point towards the east, I shall never venture west."

Black Skull declared, deeply moved.

"Including procuring for you a limited edition teddy bear?"

Liu Zheng chuckled.

"Absolutely... Brother, do not mock me in such a manner. If you wish for my demise, state it plainly; I shall plunge into the Underwater River forthwith."

Black Skull responded, rendered speechless.

"Haha, I was merely jesting. Proceed with your investigations."

He then concluded the call.

"My own matter is not pressing; attend to yours first~"

Niu Ma mimicked his earlier words with a mocking tone.

"Boss, what is it this time that has you riled?"

Liu Zheng inquired, feeling rather helpless.

Niu Ma exhibited an unusual level of agitation today; perhaps it was his monthly cycle.

"You are so eager to intervene in others' affairs, yet why do you show such a lack of urgency regarding your boss's matters?"

Niu Ma questioned him directly.

"How can I possibly offer assistance if you do not divulge the issue?"

Liu Zheng rolled his eyes in exasperation.

"If I were to disclose it, would you then hasten your actions?"

"You are my boss. How could I possibly remain unconcerned about your business? Have I not already concerned myself with numerous matters of yours? What is one more added concern?"

He retorted, standing his ground.

"Geez, it's like I haven't helped you with your stuff either."

Niu Ma pouted.

"There you go then. With our relationship, why beat around the bush, just say it already."

Liu Zheng stated.

"Alright then."

Niu Ma squirmed for a bit before finally speaking.

"While strolling on Bathhouse Street, I happened to see someone having a wedding. Although your sister-in-law didn't say anything, she stood watching for a long time. I reckon she's envious. I'm thinking now that we have money, and life is stable, I want to throw another wedding for your sister-in-law."

He said.

"That's a good thing, why hesitate to mention it. I see, you want to surprise sis-in-law, right?"

Liu Zheng realized.

"It's rare for me to put effort into something, isn't it a waste if there's no surprise?"

Niu Ma said.

"What, you want to handle this yourself?"

"Where do I have the time? I still have to oversee the lounge. Besides, I'm just a rough guy, how would I know how to do these things?"

He said with conviction.

"As if I'm not a rough guy too."

"It's fine if you're rough, as long as your lovers aren't. You have so many lovers, enough to start a wedding planning company."
