THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 939: The Prophecy That Created a Monster (2)
Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
"Get the fuck out of my way!"
Agaroth roared in fury, unleashing a threatening pressure directly toward Clea.
It was accompanied by a terrifying killing intent.
Yet Clea remained completely unaffected.
Not even slightly.
Still, Agaroth’s Aura continued growing stronger with every passing second.
Until the chains of Clea’s seal manifested around him, tightening violently and preventing him from releasing any more power.
They constricted further.
And further.
Until they nearly strangled him.
"What right..."
The very air trembled with every word Agaroth screamed.
"What authority... what fucking right do you think you have to keep interfering with my life?!"
The sealing chains tightened around him as he tried to break them through sheer force.
Agonizing pain tore through Agaroth’s body.
But it only made him curse Clea with even greater fury as rage consumed every part of him.
"You took everything from me..."
"You stole the power I spent years building!"
"You sealed the one ability that made me what I am!"
"You stopped me from ever reaching the same heights as you Writers!"
His crimson eyes burned brighter.
"And now you’re stopping me from crossing into the other world too..."
"You destroyed the passage we spent an eternity trying to build?!"
"All of this... because of one fucking prophecy?!"
At some point, Agaroth’s life itself came under threat as the chains restraining him tightened to their absolute limit.
"Stop, Agaroth! You won’t survive this!" Frey tried to stop him when he saw that Agaroth’s body was on the verge of exploding.
"No! I won’t stop!" Agaroth roared back. "This has to end. Now!"
Agaroth defied his restraints.
He defied his creators.
Yet in the face of that rebellion, Clea showed no concern whatsoever. Her eyes merely narrowed slightly, but that simple movement brought an even greater pressure crashing down upon Agaroth, making his violent struggle seem almost insignificant.
"You have nothing."
Clea’s cold voice came without the slightest trace of emotion.
"You are simply... nothing."
Not a single word Agaroth had spoken affected her in the slightest.
From the very beginning, she had never regarded him as a being equal to herself.
"That power you speak of was given to you by us, the Writers. Your unique form, your extraordinary body, those too were given to you by us. Even this pathetic attempt to escape your world would never have succeeded without the help of Writers."
"From the very beginning, you have possessed nothing. Absolutely nothing."
"Your worth amounts to whatever we chose to place within you."
Clea’s gaze remained mercilessly cold.
"So learn your place."
Her words cut deeper than any wound.
They weighed upon Agaroth more heavily than even the crushing chains wrapped around his body.
"Clea... that’s enough."
Abraham finally intervened, trying to stop her.
But the pressure she exerted upon Agaroth did not lessen in the slightest.
"He has to die, Abraham. The Oracle has warned us about him twice now, and I have no intention of allowing there to be a third time."
With a single look, both Abraham and Frey understood.
Clea had made her decision before she ever came here.
In her eyes...
Agaroth was already dead.
Her decision provoked different reactions from everyone present, yet none of them had the chance to act on those feelings.
Because something completely unexpected happened before their eyes.
Agaroth endured.
Despite the horrifying pressure crushing him, he remained standing.
And then...
The chains binding him exploded.
They shattered completely, fragments scattering around Agaroth as the power that had been suppressed for so long was finally unleashed.
"Impossible..."
Seth’s eyes widened as he watched from afar.
"He broke Mother’s seal... by himself?"
Agaroth had just destroyed a seal he should have struggled merely to endure, let alone break.
But that wasn’t what had happened.
Only Frey, Clea, and Abraham understood the truth.
’He didn’t break it...’
’He devoured it.’
The same realization crossed all three of their minds.
And the truth was every bit as shocking as it sounded.
Agaroth had devoured the very power of the seal that restrained him.
Then he had turned that power into his own.
What he had just accomplished surpassed imagination, even by the standards of the Writers.
And his strength continued rising without pause, as though all the Aura suppressed within him for so long had erupted at once.
"Do you think your status as a Writer gives you the right to toy with the lives of every creature beneath you?"
"Do you think knowing the future makes you better than me?"
Agaroth’s features twisted.
Hatred.
Contempt.
And an overwhelming fury without the slightest trace of mercy.
Then, in the blink of an eye...
He was already standing before Clea.
Agaroth swung his fist, engulfed in an enormous torrent of explosive Aura along with everything he had devoured until that moment.
"I won’t allow it!"
"I WON’T LET YOU DECIDE MY FATE!!!!"
It was a mad, suicidal attack.
Agaroth poured everything he possessed into that single strike.
He fought for his freedom.
For everything he had lived for until this very moment.
His fist reached Clea’s face.
And in less than a second...
Everyone heard something shatter.
A strange ripple followed.
Agaroth was the first to understand what had happened.
His arm vanished from existence before it could even touch Clea.
Then he felt an immense emptiness inside himself.
A massive, bloody hole had appeared through the center of his body.
And Clea’s open palm was hovering directly before it.
One strike.
That was all it took.
Agaroth was blasted away, tumbling violently across the cold ground of the very world he had spent his entire existence trying to escape.
Blood poured from his body.
Aura began leaking from within him.
Ahead of him, Clea remained standing with the same cold expression, slowly raising one hand toward him.
"Breaking free from my seal..."
"And that attack just now..."
"They have only made me more certain that I was never wrong."
Her hand pointed toward Agaroth.
"You must die."
"Here and now."
Aether gathered before her palm in response to her will.
Then Clea unleashed it toward Agaroth through her Rune.
The Rune of Erasure.
A Rune capable of erasing any being from existence itself.
If that attack struck him, Agaroth would undoubtedly die.
But Clea’s intention never came to pass.
A wave of Aether equal to her own collided with the attack head-on, stopping it before it could reach Agaroth.
Clea turned toward the only person present who possessed a Rune similar to hers.
Another Rune of Erasure.
And there stood Frey.
Opposing her.
Determined to stop her.
"I won’t let you kill him."
His voice carried absolute resolve.
Frey had made his decision as well.
But his intervention did not bring Agaroth even the slightest relief.
Because Frey’s help meant only one thing.
His fate was now trapped between two Writers.
While he lay helplessly between them...
Unable to do anything at all.
