Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
Frey broke through to the second stage of SSS rank mid-battle against Thanatos, sparking a desperate clash where the embodiment of death unleashed his full arsenal of scythes, flames, and skeletal summons. Despite grievous wounds to his neck and arm, Frey repelled Thanatos with a nuclear Ignition explosion and formed a massive shadow cocoon. Emerging at the third stage with the Origin Revelation of the extinct Krat race, Frey halted Thanatos' colossal Soul Cleaver bare-handed and seized the upper hand with flawless, machine-like precision.

"I can see them…"

Cold words dripped from Frey's lips, his eyes stretched impossibly wide, as if poised to explode.

"I can see everything."

"Every strike he launches… every particle of aura…"

"I can see his attack before he even thinks of releasing it."

Slash!!

Frey ripped straight through Thanatos' form.

Thanatos roared in rage as his body detonated like a nuclear explosion right in Frey's face.

Yet arcs of black lightning swallowed the burst of blue flames whole.

Thanatos pulled back, firing strikes from a distance to create space between them.

Frey chased after him without pause, batting away every assault that came.

Then, clutching the Shadowbolt Spear, a horrifying glow of darkness fused with violet flames erupted from Frey's hand.

His arm looked like a rocket launcher as he thrust the spear ahead.

It burst into black lightning intertwined with violet fire.

Thanatos couldn't even spot it because of its blinding speed.

All he caught was the crack of bones breaking—

Followed by his lifeless flesh getting pulverized and flung everywhere.

His gaze drifted slowly downward.

He reached out with his right hand to touch the left side of his torso ...

Only to discover the whole left half had disappeared, replaced by nothing but void.

"Thanatos… this is your final warning."

In a blink, Frey materialized right in front of him.

A single blow propelled Thanatos through the air.

Thanatos slammed into the sea of blue fire.

But Frey shattered the blaze with a ferocious lightning bolt, gouging out a huge crater within it.

Thanatos' form smoldered under the black lightning's assault, writhing in vain attempts to heal.

But regeneration eluded him.

For Frey now loomed directly before him.

"My Pursuer ability is no longer active."

Frey declared steadily from behind his mask, his icy stare fixed on Thanatos as he advanced—until they faced each other closely.

"You know what that means… don't you?"

SLAAAASH!!

Frey's sword arm blurred like a ghost.

His blade tore Thanatos' body apart at horrifying velocity, blocking any chance of recovery.

"You are no longer stronger than me."

"You have already lost, embodiment of death."

Frey intoned icily, lifting his sword right before Thanatos' eyes.

"I will not repeat myself."

"Submit and do as I say…"

"Or face the consequences."

The tables had turned completely.

Thanatos dropped to his knees amid his own blood, his form denied the power to mend.

Frey towered over him, gazing down with utter contempt.

The Pursuer had elevated Frey from the first stage…

Straight to the third.

And upon hitting Origin Revelation, unlocking the trait of Krat—

Fused with his full arsenal of abilities and weapons—

Frey had definitively overtaken Thanatos.

Thanatos held no edge anymore.

The foe quivered.

Frey's eyes sharpened as Thanatos' frame ignited with a savage, ruinous aura.

"Don't get carried away."

"Just because you managed to land a few insignificant blows."

Thanatos stood once more.

His body mended fully as an overwhelming aura surged from within him.

"This battle has only just begun."

"Creatures like you do not get to decide my fate."

"No one does !"

A massive pillar of fiery aura rocketed from Thanatos' core into the heavens.

Skeletal claws erupted from the ground below, as undead corpses clawed their way from the void, heeding his summons.

They encircled Frey on every side.

Frey's fingers clenched tighter around his sword.

"So be it."

Frey advanced, ready to press the clash onward.

Yet he halted as a voice resounded inside him.

"That's enough, Frey. Switch with me."

Nameless had spoken.

Frey paused just a moment—then gave a nod.

Gradually, Frey's aura faded… transforming his very essence.

Thanatos bellowed like a lunatic, spewing vast waves of aura that exploded wildly around him.

But his jaws clamped shut abruptly.

A chilling dread gripped him tight.

Something lethal. Something horrifying.

A sensation absent for ages.

"…Agaroth?!"

He choked out, terror streaking his features.

Yet the silhouette ahead wasn't the Demon King.

It remained Frey.

And still—

The aura emanating from him now mirrored the Demon King's in a spine-chilling way.

"…Who are you?"

Thanatos demanded, instinctively retreating a step.

His rival approached with serene steps.

No aura flared.

Zero presence.

Beside Thanatos' volcanic inferno, he appeared pathetically small.

But Thanatos knew better ...

Looks could deceive.

This wasn't Frey.

This was Nameless.

Nameless lifted his sword deliberately toward Thanatos.

"Close your mouth."

"Do not speak."

"The time for words has already passed."

Nameless' eyes blazed with a fierce violet light.

"All that remains for you now…"

"…eternal agony in an endless night."

SLASH!!!!!!

"…What?"

Astonishment etched across Thanatos' face as he whispered.

He couldn't comprehend what just transpired.

A lone swing of that blade—

Wiped out both him and his entire aura.

His form stood utterly demolished.

Merely a shard of his head lingered.

All space behind him ceased to exist.

The ground evaporated into nothingness.

Waves from distant oceans surged forth, hungry to devour all in their path...

But none dared near the spot where Nameless stood.

Nameless advanced a step.

His figure started to radiate light.

He dismissed his weapons before his hands flowed elegantly, shaping an eerie seal.

"Manipulation of Life and Death: Soul Cage."

Out of the void, a gigantic violet ring materialized.

Peculiar runes swirled without end over its face.

A colossal burst of aura exploded from the ring—

Dark chains burst forth from within, coiling tightly around Thanatos.

Not his flesh...

Since hardly any survived.

They ensnared his soul.

Bound tight, he got hauled inch by inch toward Frey...

No…

Hauled straight into him.

"Did you think yourself invincible…"

"…just because death evades you?"

Nameless intoned with icy chill.

Raw terror washed over Thanatos' features.

"Your soul stands unique."

"Immortal, it refuses to dim."

"Do you grasp what that implies?"

Those words crashed into Thanatos like a thunderclap.

"I can incinerate your soul eternally… and siphon its might endlessly, without dread of its end."

"You'll fuel me endlessly—and that youth you scorned."

Agony tore screams from Thanatos as he clawed desperately at anything to halt the chains yanking him into Frey.

Yet it proved futile.

Fate stood sealed long before.

Dozens of stares caught those last horrified seconds.

For right then, the Shadow Sect delegation arrived...

Arriving just to behold the spectacle that rooted them in stunned horror.

In plain view—

Frey swallowed death's very incarnation, claiming him as another soul amid the infinite fires he commanded for power.

Amidst a fractured continent…

And a furious onslaught of nature—

Black lightning and blue flames whipped up a maelstrom.

Between Frey Starlight and Thanatos, victory was absolute.

A devastating triumph.

For the Dark Knight of Earth—

Who now forged ahead on a shadowed trail…

A trail of his own making.
