THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 799 Respect Forged in Battle (1)
Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
Humanity now found the Pantheon resolved to battle at their side..
Never before had such a historic moment occurred.
For the first time ever, humans gained support from an alien race..
and not merely any ordinary one.
Among the top three mightiest races that existed, the Pantheon ranked second, surpassed solely by the Light.
Kalameet stood as a fighter of unparalleled prowess, his power far outstripping Nito's by a vast degree.
His actual prowess lingered near the initial phase of SSS rank's fifth stage.. the Curse of Immortality.
Moreover, as the firstborn son of mighty Midir, he carried immense prestige.
Simply his arrival bolstered the upcoming conflict tremendously.
Having sealed his pact with Gehrman, Kalameet turned his eyes to Snow, whom he had noticed earlier.
Snow held the Dragon Emperor's gaze without flinching.
He returned it steadily, knowing full well that Kalameet had watched him for some time.
"Saint Gehrman… I was unaware that your Sect included one of the Light Bearers."
Gehrman swiftly dispelled the Dragon Emperor's misconception.
"He does not belong to our Sect.
We are merely allies, bound by a shared goal and a common enemy."
Snow advanced from his position and declared his own identity.
"My name is Snow Lionheart.
I may be a Light Bearer—but I am human as well."
Kalameet gave a nod of acknowledgment.
"I see… and forgive my earlier curiosity. You are the strangest Light Bearer I have encountered in my life," he remarked, his eyes shimmering softly.
The eyes of the Pantheon held a special trait—able to perceive auras with crystal clarity.
This feature alone caused Snow to distinguish himself prominently.
"I can tell without doubt… you have only just broken into the SSS rank, yet your true level far exceeds it. My instincts are certain of this."
"Your instincts are correct, Dragon Emperor," Gehrman replied with composure, his statement landing like an explosive revelation.
"This is the man who defeated Nito—utterly and completely."
The whole Pantheon group tensed up, scrutinizing Snow from top to bottom.
"He… defeated Nito?"
Shock filled Kalameet's widely opened eyes, impossible to conceal.
He had previously thought Nito fell to either Gehrman personally—or the fearsome Fulghor.
But never to Snow Lionheart, fresh into SSS.
"Is what the Saint said true, Snow Lionheart?"
Kalameet couldn't hold back the question, eager for confirmation straight from Snow.
Snow inclined his head.
"Yes. I was the one who brought him down."
While uttering this, Snow lifted his palm, conjuring a divine orb of light, dazzling with its sheer holiness and intensity.
"The traitor of your race claimed a power that never belonged to him.
It was my duty to reclaim it."
As the Pantheon gazed upon the glowing orb, their amazement grew upon identifying its essence.
"That is… the Light Soul," Kalameet uttered gravely, now viewing Snow in a new light completely.
Advancing a pace, the Dragon Emperor drew near Snow, his face breaking into a wide grin.
"Honored Light Bearer, forgive my foolishness. I failed to grasp the extent of your power earlier."
Then..
stunning all onlookers—Kalameet voiced a bold proposal.
"If you do not mind… would you be willing to spar with me?"
Snow's brow creased faintly.
"A spar?"
Kalameet affirmed with a nod.
"Yes. I wish to measure the strength of the man who defeated Nito."
Fierce battle lust flared in the Dragon Emperor... though Snow detected zero malice.
Just then, a Dragon King from the entourage moved ahead—a figure matching Kalameet's imposing physique.
"Sparring is customary among us Pantheon," he explained.
"It is how we deepen bonds. No hostility is held, regardless of the outcome—so there is no need for concern, Snow Lionheart."
"You are free to refuse," Kalameet stated resolutely.
"The choice is entirely yours."
Snow paused briefly, glancing first at Kalameet, then toward Gehrman and the rest.
The man with blue eyes raised no protest—seemingly having foreseen this turn.
Fulghor, however, endorsed the idea.
"Everyone present here is a true warrior. There is no better way for warriors to understand one another than through combat."
Since the Order of Shadows voiced no dissent, Snow chose to follow his instincts.
A broad grin—like Kalameet's—spread across his features as the Empire's Hero advanced to confront the Dragon Emperor directly.
"I accept, Dragon Emperor.
Let us see the strength of the Pantheon's second strongest."
Eagerly awaiting that reply, Kalameet's face brightened with delight.
The Dragon Emperor harbored a battle fervor that raged without end..
and this revealed to Snow the pure warrior standing opposite, tempered in the fires of endless strife.
Preparations were swiftly completed, and the duel commenced right away—in a secluded part of the Dark Forest, distant from everyone else.
Snow assumed his stance, unleashing his maximum power.
His form disappeared completely under the full Lost War Form armor.
He gripped Vermithor in his right hand, just as usual.
In his left...
Slitherin.
The latest weapon added to his collection.
A blade well-known to Kalameet.
"I see you took plenty from Nito," Kalameet observed.
"I hope you don't mind," Snow responded, his tone deeper since donning his War Form.
Kalameet shook his head.
"Not at all. The winner claims whatever he desires."
With a menacing grin, Kalameet reached out his hand.
An immense power rushed out, coalescing in his grasp...
shaping into a gigantic silver spear, exceeding three meters in length, with a huge tip able to impale the fiercest creatures.
"So… you're a spear user," Snow assessed his foe, knowing full well Kalameet posed a tough challenge.
That spear allowed Kalameet to attack from afar with lethal accuracy.
Yet Kalameet went beyond merely calling forth the spear.
The air surrounding his figure twisted—
And out of void, an odd armor appeared, encasing him fully in matching silver metal.
It formed a huge suit, custom-fitted to Kalameet's gigantic build.
His helm resembled an enraged dragon's skull, mouth agape—Kalameet's visage peering out from the dragon's throat.
One look told Snow this armor was far from commonplace.
"Let us start, Snow Lionheart," Kalameet declared.
Snow nodded steadily.
"As you wish."
The pair of fighters faced off while Fulghor soared overhead, unleashing his vast aura to blanket the arena... creating a barrier domain that blocked any stray destruction from harming the Order.
"With this… fight without holding back."
Those words served as the cue.
The instant Fulghor ended his statement, Snow shot ahead, hurtling at Kalameet with breakneck velocity.
His frame erupted in a torrent of blinding light aura—
And it wasn't mere light.
Right from the outset, Snow ignited the Light Soul, infusing his rush with devastating might.
Kalameet countered by jabbing his spear ahead, ready for the collision.
Initially, the spear showed no evident special force, making Snow sure he could parry it effortlessly.
But the collision moment flipped everything.
Out of nowhere—
A thunderous aura blast detonated, exploding as wild golden lightning.
The golden lightning smashed directly into the Light Soul as the silver spear clashed with Vermithor.
While the forces vied to dominate one another, Snow quickly grasped...
That lightning was no ordinary sort.
"His attack strength… matches mine?"
"No," Kalameet shot back at once, a frightful smirk crossing his features.
"Mine surpasses it."
The golden lightning ramped up, flooding out in terrifying volume until it utterly crushed Snow's light.
Snow noticed just a beat too slow.
"A World-Breaking Ability…"
