THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 794 Pureflame (2)
Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
Nito's enormous monstrous frame burst into brilliant azure flames across its entirety, morphing into a massive fiery bolt that tore across the skies with horrifying velocity.
Arrival at the Southern Nightmare Continent was just a matter of moments away.
The war's situation back on Earth was far from steady.
It was utter mayhem.
This was especially true after Thanatos appeared, seizing control of the Empire's territories and starting to assemble an undead legion there.
That beast acted like a bomb ready to detonate—no one could predict the place or timing.
Indeed, Thanatos opposed the demons and held intense grudge against Agaroth specifically.
Yet he wasn't a friend to the Shadow Sect either.
He might turn against them just as quickly, aiming to turn them into undead slaves under his command.
Such a threat loomed very real.
He could use them to rebuild the forces he lost in his epic clash with Agaroth eons ago.
In these tense times, Nito—as one of the demons' top powerhouses—ought to stay composed and avoid rash actions.
The ancient Dragon Emperor disregarded that.
"I have been insulted.
And I will not be satisfied until that debt is repaid."
Fury blazed openly in Nito's eyes.
Prior to his betrayal of the Pantheon, he had served as the dragons' second-in-command.
He carried the esteemed title of Dragon Emperor, a rank shared by just two, positioned right below Midir, the Dragon God—the unchallenged mightiest in the Pantheon.
Today, he held the Ninth Seat among the Upper Demons.
True warrior's pride coursed through him.
He refused to endure such disgrace.
It wasn't long before that happened.
Nito materialized high above the southern continent's skies.
By unleashing his sharpened senses, the Ninth Seat swept his detection over the whole area hunting for his foe.
Just seconds of intense concentration elapsed.
Then a ferocious smile cracked across Nito's visage.
"Found you."
One powerful flap of his wings propelled Nito across tens of miles, diving directly toward Snow's position.
"I don't know why you didn't flee to your allies…
But your foolish decision has given me the chance to kill you, First Lord of Light."
He barreled ahead with savage force, waves of killing intent radiating from him.
Had Snow gone back to the Shadow Sect, Nito couldn't have moved—
That place teemed with horrors, and solo confrontation meant certain death.
But lingering solo on the southern continent?
Where Nito could get to him?
This presented the ideal chance.
And now he had made it there.
Upon arriving at the spot, Nito's face grew grim at the sight.
The view was utterly stunning.
A gigantic star of radiant light…
An aura of inconceivable purity, beyond anything he'd encountered before.
The star loomed so vast its glow swallowed Nito completely.
Compared to it, the mighty dragon seemed like a tiny bug.
Nito felt no delight.
"All of this light…
Is it the result of his attempt to break into SSS?"
One look told Nito this event was gravely perilous.
"I've witnessed countless breakthroughs in my life…
But I've never seen anything like this."
Though SSS breakthroughs always brought huge power spikes…
Snow's emitted aura dwarfed every prior one Nito knew.
What disturbed and infuriated Nito most…
Was recognizing a familiar echo from old tales.
A mythic story shared among them during his Pantheon days.
The account of the initial SSS breakthrough by one of the Seven Supreme Powers…
The Dragon God Midir.
Legends claimed his SSS ascension was mesmerizing…
A divine spectacle so immense it scarred the memories of all onlookers forever.
Now Snow triggered something strikingly akin to those myths.
"I can't allow him to succeed," Nito snarled in wrath, as fiercer blue flames roared around his form.
Summoning his utmost strength, Nito stretched his arm… molding it into a sky-shrouding spear of immense proportions.
The display inspired terror.
A titanic dragon gripping a fiery spear, set to launch it at a dazzling pure-white star.
With Snow utterly vulnerable right then, Nito carefully amplified the strike.
The azure-flame spear ballooned to monstrous dimensions, vast enough to overshadow Snow's star completely.
"Scion of the Lord of Light… blame no one but yourself and your foolishness," Nito uttered icily, his limb like a primed fiery cannon.
"You should have returned and done this before your friends… Not here, where I can reach you!"
Nito bellowed a deafening war cry, then flung the spear at Snow with blistering velocity—
The blazing projectile erupted on impact with the star, unleashing a disaster that ravaged the whole southern continent.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!
The blast was apocalyptic.
Aura volumes dispersing over the terrain hit record heights.
Blue flames raged around the star's aura, devouring it until they hit Snow Lionheart, slumbering inside.
Explosions raged on for a while, annihilating all life unlucky enough to be in the zone—leaving only scorched remnants.
Suspended in the air, Nito felt certain he'd hit Snow squarely.
Snow had offered no defense—
That ultimate strike must have finished him or at least caused ruinous harm.
But the Ninth Seat's assurance crumbled…
Upon hearing steps crunching on the earth below… and sensing his aura.
"How crude of you, Emperor of the Pantheon."
Snow's voice resounded from all sides.
"Is treachery all you're capable of?
Is this how the proud Pantheon fights?"
Out from the ashes and haze, Snow stepped forth unscathed…
No, even better.
The First Scion of the Lord of Light now radiated enhanced might, vast power churning inside him.
Golden runes gleamed with intensified luster, his eyes beaming pure white light… matching his hair, every fiber like luminous threads of crackling energy that glowed endlessly.
One look revealed it all to Nito.
"I see… You broke through."
Snow nodded back with a grin.
"Yes. I did."
In kind, that feral grin reappeared on Nito's face.
"So what? This breakthrough changes nothing. You're still far weaker than me," Nito scoffed.
Snow stayed calm.
"I wonder about that. You don't look nearly as impressive to me."
Snow advanced, a magnificent golden energy cloaking his figure.
"Ninth Seat Nito… I know you well.
You're nothing more than a traitor who sold out his own kind—
A weakling with nothing to measure up against true apex warriors."
"You joined the Upper Demons in hopes of obtaining a world-breaking ability to erase the gap between you and your betters—
Yet you lost it to me like a fool. Pathetic."
Snow taunted him brazenly.
Nito's features contorted in fury, his control breaking at last.
"You wretch… You're nothing but a fledgling who just entered SSS, yet you dare look down on me?!" Nito bellowed, erupting with a torrent of blazing energy.
"I'll show you the difference between us, Scion of the Lord of Light!"
Suddenly, Nito spewed a massive fireball from his jaws, hurtling right at Snow…
Snow spotted the incoming assault.
He stood motionless.
Instead, he lifted his hand as flawless purity aura blazed from him.
"Pureflame… Release."
Out of void…
Flames spawned.
Immaculate white fire—perfectly pure—flared in Snow's hand.
He shaped it effortlessly, then shot it at Nito's fireball.
The white blaze detonated, expanding furiously until it equaled Nito's blue inferno, smashing directly…
Then overwhelming it utterly.
The Ninth Seat's attack got repelled as the pristine flame consumed Nito's whole body.
Nito flinched in alarm, frantically battling to shake off the alien white blaze—
Flailing in frenzy, he missed Snow hovering overhead, encased in white armor.
A full suit—shielding every inch, unlike his prior golden gear.
"The Lost War Form… Full Armament."
Snow thrust Vermithor forward, infusing it with more pristine flame.
"Nito, Ninth Seat…
Have you never wondered why I stayed here instead of returning to the Shadow Sect?"
Snow's stare stabbed Nito like a lethal edge, dawning comprehension on him.
"Because I was waiting for you.
I wanted to lure you out—and you fell for it like an idiot, you insignificant Pantheon scum."
"Look carefully.
Witness the world-breaking power you've always desired."
Responding to Snow's command, the pristine white flames roared fiercer.
Pureflame…
A world-shattering power once commanded by the Pure Vessel long ago.
And now, Snow had fully awakened it.
He couldn't wield it earlier…
Since SSS marked the bare threshold for this aura-devouring blaze of annihilation.
Pure flame… and the Light Soul.
Snow commanded two supreme destructive forces now…
And he planned to annihilate his foe with them.
Amid the barren southern continent, a savage clash ignited…
Between the First Scion of the Lord of Light
And the Pantheon's betrayer.
