THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 738: Prophecy and an Unending Conflict (3)

Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
As a fractured moon resonates in the sky, Gehrman recites a chilling prophecy foretelling the Shattering and the collapse of balance. Just as Abraham moves to finish the fallen Wesker, a powerful new adversary, the Third-Rank Demon Vayne, emerges from the shadows to rescue her brother. The battlefield's power dynamic shifts violently as Vayne summons two more formidable allies: the dragon traitor Nito and the enigmatic Host of Nightmares, Amon. Despite being lower in rank, Amon assumes command and orders the immediate execution of Gehrman. Now surrounded by shadow threads and facing a coordinated assault from the Upper Demons, Gehrman and his allies must find a way to survive an increasingly dire confrontation.

"As expected of the Upper Demons... you never miss a moment to display the power bestowed by your master," he remarked, his eyes shifting toward the King’s Shadow.

"Just as the rumors suggest... the King’s Shadow is a truly terrifying power... one capable of overshadowing even the brilliance of the Lord of Light."

"Do you truly have the breath to admire your enemy’s strength, Gehrman?" Vayne spoke with a threatening tone. "You are standing on the edge of total annihilation."

On the opposite side, Abraham lunged toward Frey in an instant... but Nito intercepted him immediately, cutting off his path.

"You are going nowhere, human."

The demons moved with a speed that defied logic, and the situation spiraled out of control.

Shadows erupted upward, masking everything in sight... like a dark cocoon designed to drain the very life from their bodies.

Inside that shroud of darkness, Gehrman closed his eyes.

"Annihilation... death... it would be a mercy if that were to happen," he murmured softly. "Then I could finally find peace... and I would not be forced to do what I must do now."

He took a breath, a tired smile forming on his lips.

"But I am denied that choice. I am driven forward... and I have no other path but to continue."

"Then show me how you plan to survive," Vayne countered.

She unleashed the full weight of her shadows.

A single blow would be sufficient to end Gehrman’s life.

Everything was swallowed by the dark, as if the final curtain had fallen.

Within Gehrman’s blue eyes, the world seemed to move in slow motion... eyes that witnessed far more than any ordinary person could perceive.

He was the first to detect it.

Closely following him... Amon sensed it too.

Both were the first to feel the bizarre anomaly manifesting in the heavens.

Within mere seconds, the rest of the battlefield noticed it as well.

The sky was littered with stars decorating the night... yet for some reason...

One of those stars began to glow with a radiance far brighter than its peers.

Then, in a strange and terrifying phenomenon... one that forced every living soul on the planet to look up in dread—something impossible happened.

The star began to expand.

It grew larger and larger.

It drew closer.

It was not a star at all.

It was a planet.

A whole world was hurtling toward them at an inconceivable velocity, until it physically blotted out the sky, instilling pure terror in the hearts of both humans and demons.

That massive world seemed destined to collide with the Earth, signaling an end-of-the-world disaster.

The sight pushed those who watched to scream in absolute madness...

But at the very last second...

The planet fractured.

It shattered into pieces.

A colossal explosion ripped it apart, drenching the world in a blinding light that consumed the entire Earth.

Without exception, no one could see a thing in that instant.

Even the deepest shadows became meaningless before that overwhelming glow.

Then, gradually...

Everyone heard it.

The thunderous sound of hooves... vibrating through the heavens.

Four hooves were galloping... not on the solid ground...

But upon the empty void.

Upon the sky itself.

Slowly, Vayne turned her head in shock, trying to mount a defense... but she was already too late.

He had already arrived.

A beast standing on four legs.

A centaur-like titan... its lower half was that of a stallion, while its upper torso resembled a giant.

Standing over ten meters tall, its massive shadow completely covered Vayne.

From beneath a heavy helmet, eyes burned with a fierce yellow light.

In its grip was a gargantuan sword crafted from condensed aura.

Then...

With a single, powerful swing...

While Nito screamed and Amon watched in stunned silence...

Fulgor brought his massive blade down on Vayne’s form.

She tried to shield herself in shadows...

But it was futile.

The blow landed with the force of a thunderclap, launching her toward the heavens as the air itself detonated under the impact.

The momentum propelled her upward.

Higher and higher...

Until her body finally collided with something solid.

Vayne struggled to stand, her body soaked in blood, her shadows having barely preserved her life.

Only then did the reality sink in...

She was no longer on the Earth.

Fulgor’s strike had blasted her all the way into space, slamming her into the cracked surface of the moon.

She stood upon the lunar debris, paralyzed by disbelief.

Fulgor moved once more.

His giant sword shifted instantly into a massive scythe.

With a fluid motion, he fired two enormous arrows that struck Nito and Amon at the same time.

The resulting blasts were devastating, violently repelling them.

Then his hooves kicked the void again...

And he soared back into the firmament.

"Gehrman," Fulgor spoke, his voice echoing with a deep resonance.

"I apologize, my old friend. Taking care of the Rank Three is the most I can do for you right now."

Fulgor bolted toward the moon, leaving the Earth’s battlefield in Gehrman’s care.

Gehrman’s form began to glow with a sky-blue light as he braced for combat.

"That is more than enough, my friend. You have my gratitude."

Gehrman and Fulgor shared a brief nod...

And a moment later, Fulgor disappeared into the void of space to face Vayne.

The intensity of the fight escalated immediately.

Gehrman rushed toward Frey, trying to pull him to safety...

But he was forced to a halt when a razor-sharp arc of energy flew at him with lethal speed.

It was Nito.

The Rank Nine had already repelled Abraham and now blocked Gehrman’s path.

"You’re not going anywhere."

Nito took a step forward...

Then he froze.

A strange luminescence appeared behind him, like a ghost.

"Those are my words... you bastard. I’m not finished yet."

It was Abraham.

He attacked with blinding speed, but Nito managed to dodge.

Then...

In a flash...

Nito’s body erupted with power as he rocketed into the sky.

He flew higher.

And higher.

Until he pierced the atmosphere and hovered in the silence of space.

Nito raised his massive blade, the metal starting to shimmer.

"The Slytherin Sword."

This was Nito’s iconic weapon—one that held a terrifying trait.

Slytherin Sword:

The further the distance from which the blow is struck, the more destructive its power becomes.

Invoking its ability, Nito swung downward, releasing a screaming arc of aura.

The strike grew...

And grew...

Magnified by the sword’s enchantment, it resembled a falling meteor by the time it reached Gehrman and Abraham.

Then—without warning—

BOOOOOOM!!!

A deafening blast wiped out the entire area under its sheer weight.

Frey, holding Ada close, slowly opened his eyes...

Only to find himself at the center of a massive, smoking crater, shielded by that mysterious artifact.

Yet even with that protection...

A single attack from Rank Nine Nito had caused unimaginable ruin.

Gehrman and Abraham had managed to jump clear of the impact...

But even they were rattled by the scale of the destruction.

"This is not good... That man is incredibly dangerous."

To make matters worse...

Nito raised his sword a second time.

"This next strike will be even more powerful."

He grinned cruelly in the vacuum as a surge of overwhelming light poured through him...

Power granted by Agaroth, the Demon King himself.

The second half of the Light Soul.

Nito was on the verge of unleashing a catastrophe.

But at the final moment...

A roaring tide of light slammed into his side.

Nito parried the sudden strike and turned toward the source...

Only to see a streak of light charging directly at him.

A man in golden knightly armor appeared, wielding a sword of pure light and a massive round shield.

"You possess something that belongs to me, you traitorous demon dog."

Snow Lionheart roared as he crashed into the battle out of nowhere, stopping Nito in his tracks.

The battlefield fell into total chaos...

And the war was now set to continue into the unknown.
