THE VILLAIN'S POV Chapter 698: Abraham Starlight
Previously on THE VILLAIN'S POV...
Abraham was a man who should have perished a long time ago...
So how was he standing here now?
And why was his power even more overwhelming than before?
"It doesn’t matter. Regardless of who he is now... he is our enemy."
Nova declared, raising his guard to its absolute limit.
The others followed his lead immediately.
For a single heartbeat, they locked eyes with him in a tense standoff.
And then...
Abraham Starlight vanished into thin air.
It was as if he had never been standing on that hill at all.
In the following split second...
The faces of the three warriors drained of all color, turning deathly pale.
He was already standing right in the middle of them.
Despite being SSS-Rank, not a single one of them had been able to track his movement.
Sensing the extreme danger, the trio acted as one, launching a synchronized assault.
Nova fashioned a massive blade out of starlight that glowed with the intensity of a sun.
Enver’s fist ignited in a ferocious inferno, causing the very air to crackle around him.
Avalon’s sword lunged forward, aiming directly for Abraham’s throat.
Three devastating blows... all converging on a single target.
For a fleeting moment, it appeared as though their strikes had connected.
However, Abraham merely shifted his weight, pivoted, and twisted... leaving nothing but afterimages behind...
All three attacks whistled through empty shadows.
And then...
With a speed that defied logic, Abraham thrust out both arms, unleashing a shockwave of pure aura that sent all three flying in different directions.
The wave of aura resembled a gravitational repelling force... yet it was nothing more than Abraham’s raw, unbridled power.
He manifested a blade of light and blurred toward Nova.
Abraham possessed no consciousness.
He was merely a tool of destruction...
Programmed to eliminate the most powerful foe on the field.
And the strongest person present was—
"Me..."
Nova ground his teeth as their blades clashed, creating a blinding explosion of light.
They disappeared...
Moving at the speed of light...
Stardust Style clashing against Stardust Style.
The combat was like a mirrored image...
A flawless imitation challenging the creator.
Watching from the periphery, Enver and Avalon searched for a gap in the defense.
"This is insane... it’s like seeing two versions of the same man kill each other..."
Enver whispered under his breath.
Avalon’s face grew grim.
"Nova has the superior technique—he is the one who created and perfected the Stardust Style.
But..."
Avalon tightened his grip.
"The gap in sheer power is astronomical."
In terms of raw strength... Abraham was clearly the dominant force.
BOOOOOOM!!!
A violent eruption of radiant light occurred... sending Nova reeling back from a heavy strike.
Nova stabilized himself in midair and lunged back into the fray, now joined by Avalon.
Abraham conjured a second blade, parrying both of their strikes simultaneously... as starlight shattered and hissed around him.
Enver capitalized on the opening, appearing right in front of Abraham with a flaming fist ready to descend...
But Abraham was faster.
A kick... exceeding the speed of light—connected with Enver’s face before his punch could land.
The impact sent Enver hurtling into the sky.
Then, controlling his aura with supernatural precision, Abraham’s hands sliced through the fabric of space, tearing it open and leaving deep, bloody wounds across Nova and Avalon.
The two fighters recovered their balance instantly, their auras flaring as they charged back in.
BOOOOOOM!!
The ground trembled, and a giant pillar of fire reached for the heavens as Enver released his full strength—
"ILIOS!!! WAR MODE!!"
Enver bellowed, rushing forward through a tempest of violet flames hot enough to liquify the earth.
Even so, Abraham met the charge head-on—matching, and then overpowering all three of them at once.
"Who is this monster?! Can a human being truly possess this level of power?!"
Enver roared, his hands mangled and bleeding after every clash.
Abraham was a nightmare incarnate.
Even legendary figures like Chun Ma and Kazis Valerion in their prime could not compare to his current state.
The realization sent a shiver down the spines of the three warriors.
"He is utilizing the Ignition!"
Nova shouted. Enver went rigid.
"The what?!"
Only Nova truly grasped the nature of the horror they were facing.
"Ignition is the ultimate peak of the Stardust Style... it involves burning away one's life force to achieve god-like power for a short duration!!"
Nova had never dared to use it himself.
To trigger Ignition was to embrace certain death.
It was meant to be a transient, suicidal state.
Yet, Abraham was maintaining it with perfect stability.
"That shouldn't be possible..."
And then... Nova spotted something even more terrifying.
When Abraham’s skin was torn... no blood flowed out.
There was no blood.
There was no flesh.
Only brilliant light spilled from the wounds.
Aura.
His entire physical form was composed of pure aura.
"You have to be joking..."
Enver snarled as the battle raged on.
Their opponent possessed a body made of aura while sustaining a permanent Ignition without dying.
Such a feat should have been impossible for any mortal.
But Abraham had turned it into a reality, all because of one factor...
"The Absolute Manipulator."
From a distance, sitting comfortably and watching the spectacle with delight, Wesker began to chuckle.
"Abraham Starlight is truly a marvel... he has far exceeded my expectations."
"At the very end of his life, he entered that Ignition state... his power surged across several realms simultaneously. But that form is a death sentence."
"In that final moment... Abraham’s unique ability absorbed the Ignition, stabilizing the state. For a fleeting instant, he became a miracle that defied existence..."
Wesker’s grin grew sharper.
"However, one thing failed him."
"He was only human."
Wesker leaned his chin on his palm, reminiscing about the conflict.
"His mortal frame couldn't handle the pressure. The strain ended him."
The Absolute Manipulator had achieved perfect mastery over Ignition...
But Abraham had died before the evolution could be completed.
"I went to great lengths to preserve and reconstruct his body afterward... but the end product was worth every effort."
Wesker’s smile broadened.
"Now, Abraham Starlight lives again through Geppetto’s power... and that impossible might is entirely his to wield."
"Which means—"
Wesker proclaimed with total confidence:
"The Abraham Starlight of today is worthy of challenging the Ten High Seats... and even the Seven Great Powers."
Abraham Starlight had always been a luminary beyond comparison...
A living miracle.
Had it not been for the limitations of his humanity...
He would have already been counted among the Seven Great Powers.
"To think his greatest flaw... was merely being human? Ahahahaha!!"
Wesker laughed hysterically while Abraham continued to crush the ancient heroes.
Wesker had taken advantage of the Engineer’s absence to seize this monstrous warrior, turning him into his personal weapon.
It was a grave error that the blue-eyed one would never overlook.
Meanwhile... in the distance.
In a hidden location, Gehrman sat in silence, synchronizing his aura and bracing for what was to come.
He knew exactly what had transpired with Abraham.
He had watched the events of the battlefield unfold.
Yet, he showed no emotion... not even a flicker of concern.
It was as if he had anticipated this outcome from the start.
"...."
Gehrman slowly opened his eyes and stood up.
"The time has come... for the High Demons to return to the grave."
He spoke with a chilling, resonant voice before vanishing.
The Clash of Legends had commenced...
And the tempest of battles that would slay gods loomed on the horizon.
