Lin Bai entered the Qingling Mountain Range, slaying a Black-scaled Leopard and numerous other demon beasts with his Qixue Sword Skill while absorbing their vitality through the Devouring Sword Spirit to advance to the fourth level of Martial Art. After half a month of searching, he discovered a Pregnant Spirit Fruit tree guarded by a fifth-level white-headed eagle, which he defeated using advanced sword forms. He harvested the three ripe fruits, only to face a claim from the Qingtian Alliance.

“Kid, the fruit in your hands has caught our Qingtian Alliance’s eye.

Be smart and hand it over or risk losing your life.”

Out of nowhere, a group of around a dozen men and women with grim faces had suddenly appeared behind Lin Bai.

Though there were over a dozen of them, their cultivation levels in martial arts remained quite low.

Five possessed the Martial Arts Fourth Level, seven the Martial Arts Third Level, and two the Martial Arts Second Level.

“Qingtian Alliance?” Lin Bai paused in surprise for a moment.

During his travels, Lin Bai had met numerous individuals in the Qingling Mountain Range and learned about the Qingtian Alliance.

Two primary alliances dominated the Qingling Mountain Range: the Demon Slaying Alliance and the Qingtian Alliance.

These groups had been established specifically for hunting demon beasts.

Membership in an alliance provided access to valuable resources.

Shared knowledge included hazardous spots in the Qingling Mountain Range, demon beast hotspots, or locations of True Martial Realm demon beasts.

Had Lin Bai known such details, he wouldn’t have roamed blindly through the Qingling Mountain Range.

Originally, Lin Bai intended to join an alliance after securing the Pregnant Spirit Fruit, to gather intelligence on high-level demon beasts and then hunt them.

The Qingtian Alliance’s leader lost patience with Lin Bai and shouted, “I told you to give me the fruit.

Are you deaf or did you not hear me?”

Calmly, Lin Bai tucked the three Pregnant Spirit Fruits into his robes and shot back, “You want the fruit?

Come and grab it yourself!”

Lin Bai had roamed the Qingling Mountain Range for over half a month to find the Pregnant Spirit Fruit.

He had no intention of surrendering them easily.

With a cold glare, Lin Bai cautioned, “I suggest you leave immediately, and I’ll overlook this.

Persist in courting death, and I’ll gladly send you on your way!”

“Ha ha ha, this kid must be insane.

You’re merely at the Martial Arts Fourth Level, while we boast five at your level.

What gives you the nerve to challenge us?”

“It’s laughable!

He really believes he can take us down?”

“Brothers, since he won’t yield, let’s demonstrate the power of our Qingtian Alliance!”

The Qingtian Alliance members burst into mocking laughter, eyeing Lin Bai with smug confidence ahead of the clash.

To them, five Martial Arts Fourth Level fighters from their group could effortlessly overpower one lone warrior at the same realm.

Lin Bai was as good as finished in their eyes.

“So obstinate!” Lin Bai drew his Soul-Slaying Sword.

“Kill!”

“Black Beard Heart Extraction!”

“Raging Bull Fist!”

“Autumn Wind Sword Skill!”

“Sweeping Thousands of Troops!”

“Asura Palm!”

The dozen Qingtian Alliance fighters surged toward Lin Bai like they were assaulting a demon beast.

“Since you’ve chosen death, I’ll grant it to you!”

“One Sword Blood Spurt!”

A dazzling sword gleam flashed like lightning through the group.

“Ah!

Ah~~”

“Spare me!”

“Kind sir, spare me!”

In one slash, Lin Bai felled three Martial Arts Fourth Level opponents instantly.

“River of Blood!”

A vast curtain of sword light descended, and Lin Bai slew the remaining foes beneath his blade.

The might of the Qixue Sword Skill proved formidable, even as a mere Yellow Level Ninth Grade technique.

The White-headed Eagle, whose realm surpassed Lin Bai’s, had fallen to him earlier.

This underscored the Qixue Sword Skill’s terrifying prowess.

The sword arts, fists, and palms from these Qingtian Alliance fighters were mere Yellow Level First or Second Grade skills, hardly noteworthy.

After eliminating the rest of the Qingtian Alliance group, only their leader survived, bearing slight wounds.

The leader scanned the scene, seeing all his alliance comrades slain.

He sneered, “Brat, you’ve already stepped into Yama Hall.

No one in the Qingling Mountain Range dares challenge our Qingtian Alliance!”

“I had no desire to clash with you.

You’re the ones seeking death!” Lin Bai replied icily.

“Seeking death?

Not quite.

We’ll see who perishes.

With them gone, your Spirit Fruit and Treasure Sword will soon be mine.”

Rather than grieve his fallen comrades, the leader flashed a savage smile.

Suddenly, a bad feeling gripped Lin Bai.

Did this leader deliberately allow him to kill the others?

“Heavenly Dragon Fist!”

With a sinister chuckle, the leader’s muscles swelled as a terrifying power erupted from his arm.

He unleashed a brutal punch, accompanied by a dragon’s thunderous roar and a rushing shockwave.

“Pfft—”

Off balance, Lin Bai took the punch squarely in the chest.

He was hurled back, struggling to rise while coughing up blood.

“A Yellow Level Seventh Rank martial skill—truly powerful!

You cur, it’s your privilege to perish by my hidden ace!” Unhesitating after landing the blow, the leader charged again with a mountain-crushing punch.

“Heavenly Dragon Fist, Second Form, Dragon Soaring in the Sky!”

He vaulted skyward, piercing the clouds, then plummeted with a lethal strike aimed at Lin Bai.

“Die!”

The leader was convinced Lin Bai couldn’t survive such a devastating assault.

“Qixue Sword Skill, Third Form, Blood Wind!”

Boom!

Their forces smashed together.

The moment their mighty energies met, a blast radius obliterated all grass within ten yards.

“How can this be!” Shocked that Lin Bai blocked his attack, the leader recoiled in fear.

He cried out in disbelief, “That sword skill of yours must be Yellow Level Ninth Grade at minimum—how else could it withstand the Heavenly Dragon Fist?”

“Got any final words?

If not, be on your way.” Lin Bai’s expression turned steely as he lunged forward.

The leader finally panicked, “You wouldn’t dare kill me!

You actually dare!

I’m a Qingtian Alliance disciple and a hall master there.

Slay me, and they’ll hunt you to the ends of the earth for vengeance!”

“Hand over the fruit, cripple your own Dantian, and sever both arms.

Perhaps I’ll plead with the Alliance Leader to grant you a whole corpse!”

Backed by the Qingtian Alliance and his high status, the leader feared not and kept threatening Lin Bai.

“Enough!” Lin Bai snapped irritably, thrusting his sword at the man’s throat.

The leader begged frantically, “Don’t kill me, don’t!

Hero, I’m the bastard son of the Qingtian Alliance Leader.

Spare me, and I’ll have my father shower you with treasures and heaps of spiritual medicines!”

Pfft—

Ignoring the drivel, Lin Bai pierced the man’s throat cleanly, ending him.

“These fighters must have been drawn by the White-headed Eagle’s cry.”

“Who knows how many others heard that screech…”

“No time to linger here!

Time to find a spot and refine the Pregnant Spirit Fruit.”

Before departing, Lin Bai looted the corpses for anything worthwhile.

Then he descended the mountain.

Shortly after Lin Bai’s exit, elite experts from the Qingtian Alliance arrived at the peak.

A silver-haired middle-aged man beheld his leader slain by Lin Bai’s sword.

Tears filled his eyes.

“My son!”

The silver-haired man wailed in anguish.

At that instant, a refined scholar beside him whispered, “Alliance Leader, I’ve inspected the scene.

The other brothers and…

Lord Yangtian were all felled by precise sword wounds!”

“This foe is undoubtedly a sword expert, wielding a superior sword skill.

At the very least, a Yellow Level Seventh Rank martial skill!”

Wiping his tears, the silver-haired man roared, “A sword master with Yellow Level Seventh Rank or better…

fewer than ten such figures exist in the entire Qingling Mountain Range!”

“Hunt him down!

Turn the earth upside down if needed—find him!

I’ll tear his corpse into ten thousand shreds!”

“Yes!” the scholar affirmed.
