The Tycoon Has A Secret Crush On Me Chapter 1 - 1 001 Little Sister Comes to Rob a Marriage_1
“Mr. Gao Han, do you swear this union is heaven-sent and do you take Ye Ranran as your lawfully wedded wife?” The priest’s grave and solemn voice resonated throughout the church.
“I…”
“He does not!” A female voice, like a thunderclap, interrupted from the entrance of the church.
Heads turned in shock towards the magnificent woman who had just appeared. All eyes were fixed on her, and no one noticed someone quietly slipping out of their seat in a secluded corner.
“Tianjiao,” Madam Ye exclaimed, standing up.
Ye Tianjiao, adorned in a wedding gown and holding a bouquet, began to walk forward. While already beautiful, the wedding dress and delicate makeup made her utterly stunning.
“Tianjiao,” Ye Ranran murmured softly.
The one who had dramatically interrupted the ceremony was revealed to be her own half-sister, Ye Tianjiao. From childhood, Ye Tianjiao had a habit of taking what was hers, and now, she had even snatched her fiancé.
A glacial smile touched Ye Ranran’s lips as she fixed her gaze on Gao Han. “I demand an explanation.” She didn't succumb to hysteria or outburst; instead, she met Gao Han's eyes with unnerving calm.
Gao Han’s face contorted with visible panic as he looked at her, flustered. “The truth is…”
“I am pregnant,” Ye Tianjiao announced with a triumphant air to Ye Ranran. Nothing seemed beyond Ye Tianjiao’s reach; if she desired something, she acquired it.
“Since when?” Ye Ranran’s eyes flickered towards Ye Tianjiao’s slightly rounded belly. It appeared to be about three months along, a fact Ye Ranran had been completely unaware of. She had been deceived by them, played for a fool for so long.
Ye Ranran’s heart felt as though it were being violently squeezed, every breath a struggle against crushing pain.
“Actually, Han knew me first, and his heart belongs to me,” Ye Tianjiao stated, her gaze softening with a hint of feigned sorrow. “I truly wanted to give him to you, but I simply couldn’t.”
Murmurs rippled through the assembled guests. They had assumed the younger sister was the interloper, only to discover the elder sister was the true saboteur. To steal her own sister’s fiancé – how could she stoop so low?
Suddenly cornered, Ye Ranran’s body trembled with suppressed rage. “Why didn’t you ever say anything? Why keep silent for the past three years?” Three long years had provided ample opportunity for them to confess their love, their desire to be together. Why had they remained quiet, only to spring this revelation on her today?
“I did consider letting go before, but I discovered I couldn’t. Moreover, I’m carrying his child now. I know this is difficult for you to accept, but we are truly in love. We beg for your understanding.” With that, Ye Tianjiao knelt gracefully.
“Tianjiao,” Madam Ye cried, rushing forward from the front rows. She implored Ye Ranran, “Ranran, dear, Tianjiao meant no offense. Now that you know the truth, please step aside.”
“And what does Father think?” Ye Ranran tightened her grip on the bouquet.
“Tianjiao is indeed at fault, but there are mitigating circumstances; she acted without malice. Can you forgive her this once? I promise to find a more suitable man for you later.”
An icy chill spread through Ye Ranran’s heart. Her gaze swept across the church, meticulously decorated by her own hands, the roses personally arranged. Even the invitations bore her own handwriting. *Do not cry*, she commanded herself, *maintain your dignity, even in despair, even as your heart breaks.*
“I wish you happiness.” Ye Ranran let go of the bouquet in her hand, stood tall, and walked towards the exit. As she stepped out of the church, no one followed. Faintly, she heard Madam Ye’s voice echo, “Everyone, please remain. The wedding will continue.”
How utterly ironic…
Ye Ranran quickened her pace, unable to bear the sound of their voices any longer.
