The Supreme Wild Young Master Chapter 2: Extraordinary Skills_1
Previously on The Supreme Wild Young Master...
Zhang Xian knitted his brows, like sharp swords, and turned to face the security guard who had just arrived. A stern gaze emanated from him.
The previous guard had left a favorable impression, so why was this newcomer so abrupt and uncouth? Did someone of his caliber truly belong in a place like Jinxiu Residence?
"Staring me down? Think you can handle me?" The frustration from losing a game, mixed with indignation, consumed the security guard.
"Are you quite certain you wish to proceed with this confrontation?" Zhang Xian responded with an enigmatic smile.
"Damn it! Does this bumpkin really think he's a match for me?" the security guard declared, launching a swift punch towards Zhang Xian's head.
As a guard for a prestigious establishment such as Jinxiu Residence, he was naturally not lacking in skill. This simple country fellow, how could he dare to swagger right in front of him? Did he not fear repercussions?
"With such mediocre skills, you dare to flaunt them?" Zhang Xian's expression was steeped in contempt.
Just as the fist neared his face, he unexpectedly surged forward, seized the oncoming blow, and with a powerful heave, sent the guard tumbling to the ground.
"Thud..." The guard's body made forceful contact with the hard earth.
Disoriented and reeling from the impact, he felt a profound dizziness, as if the world had tilted on its axis. His chest tightened, making it difficult to breathe, and he sensed he was on the verge of losing consciousness.
Observing this scene, the other guards of high standing exchanged surprised glances. They weren't ordinary individuals, yet one of them had been dispatched so effortlessly?
"Aargh..." A furious roar escaped the guard.
He instantly scrambled to his feet, initiating a renewed assault on Zhang Xian. His right leg, coiled like a spring, positioned for a kick, while his fist was poised to strike.
"Hmm, you do possess some combat aptitude; it's merely your strength that falls short," Zhang Xian remarked, discerning the feint, aware the true attack lay concealed.
Nevertheless, the disparity between them was far too vast for minor stratagems to overcome. Having been provoked twice, Zhang Xian's patience had evaporated. He seized the guard's leg, whirling him violently into the air, spinning him twice before slamming him back down, articulating, "I was showing restraint to avoid escalation, and you mistook it for weakness?"
"Thud..." Another dull impact resounded.
The guard had anticipated his counterattack would catch Zhang Xian off guard; his fist was already clenched, ready to connect. Yet, to his utter astonishment, Zhang Xian not only evaded the blow but instead flung him into the air, casting him down to the ground, utterly unconscious from sheer surprise.
"What the..." The shock rendered the esteemed security guard speechless.
Meanwhile, the other security guards converged, their faces etched with disbelief as they gazed upon Zhang Xian, who remained remarkably composed and unfazed.
From their vantage point at the security booth, they hadn't clearly witnessed the preceding events. However, they knew their comrade had been gone only a short while. How could he have ended up incapacitated on the ground so quickly?
"What? You intend to attack me as a group?" Zhang Xian surveyed the assembled guards and let out a cold chuckle. "Very well, I have no objection if you all wish to face me together."
A few of the guards bristled with anger, feeling utterly disrespected by this young man.
Yet, they held back from making any move. Zhang Xian's demonstrated strength had instilled a significant degree of apprehension in them. Jinxiu Residence adhered to numerous strict regulations, and they were reluctant to jeopardize their stable employment over an unforeseeable incident.
"You lack the courage to approach?" Zhang Xian scoffed. "Since you dare not fight, may I proceed inside? Or are you compelling me to force my way in? Your capabilities, I surmise, are insufficient for such a task."
"Look, friend, it's not that we're unwilling to allow you entry, but it strictly goes against our regulations. We hope you can understand and not make things difficult for us, alright?" The initial security guard, though visibly annoyed, remained cautious of Zhang Xian's power and opted for a persuasive tone. It was at this precise moment that he noticed a white Audi vehicle approaching the residential entrance. His eyes brightened, and he quickly signaled to the car.
Not long after, the white Audi slowly came to a halt before the gate.
As the car window descended, a beautiful woman in her middle age inquired, "What's the matter, Xiao Liu? Why are you gesturing? Is there a problem?"
"Elder Sister Xiuling, this individual claims to be Miss Mo's husband and insists on entering. Do you happen to know him?" the security guard asked with a smirk.
The woman, identified as He Xiuling, served as Mo Shaoyun's housekeeper. If this shabbily dressed fellow was indeed Mo Shaoyun's husband, He Xiuling, who spent considerable time in Mo Shaoyun's company, would undoubtedly be aware.
"Miss Mo's husband? Are you jesting? Since when did our Miss find a husband?" He Xiuling grew annoyed. After scrutinizing Zhang Xian, she couldn't help but furrow her brow even more upon noticing his disheveled attire, "Hey there, little fellow, one can experiment with pills, but you mustn't spout nonsense. I've been looking after Miss Mo for years now; how come I've never encountered you?"
"Only a few years, hence you certainly haven't seen me," Zhang Xian replied. "My betrothal to Mo Shaoyun was arranged a decade ago. It has been ten years since my last encounter with her."
"Hmph..." He Xiuling nearly sputtered. "I don't know where you hail from, but our Miss Mo has no husband, let alone a supposed fiancé. You should have a look in the mirror and reconsider your words. Our Miss Mo is the most stunning woman in Yanjing. Could you possibly be her husband? Even the most outlandish international jest wouldn't include you."
"I speak the truth," Zhang Xian felt a little irked by He Xiuling's remarks but refrained from losing his temper. "If you doubt my words, feel free to make a call and inquire."
"I am not that idle, nor will I trouble Miss Mo for such a matter," He Xiuling had no intention of making a call; doing so might earn her a scolding.
He Xiuling had known Mo Shaoyun for many years, yet she had never once heard her mention a fiancé. Furthermore, she had never observed any man, short of those exceptionally close to Miss Mo, visiting her residence.
Setting aside the fact that Mo Shaoyun wouldn't even spare the prominent figures of Yanjing a second glance, could this man, whose very presence was ludicrous enough to render one speechless, truly have captured Mo Shaoyun's affection?
"I shall dispense with pleasantries. Is Mo Shaoyun at home or not? I intend to see her directly. No one but herself would be aware of our connection." Zhang Xian, having been repeatedly underestimated, was now quite displeased.
"Our Miss is not currently home, and you should refrain from waiting here either. Our Miss will not entertain you," He Xiuling retorted.
"Not at home? If my memory serves me, today marks Mo Shaoyun's birthday. Why is she not present at her residence?" Zhang Xian inquired with curiosity.
"You... how did you ascertain that?" He Xiuling responded, her voice laced with surprise.
Mo Shaoyun's personal details were always shrouded in secrecy, known only to a select few. How could this man before her possibly know the date of her birthday?
"As her husband, how could I possibly not know?" Zhang Xian felt a surge of smugness.
"Our Miss is attending a business function at the Imperial Luxury Hotel. If you indeed possess any connection to her, you may proceed to seek her out there." With that said, He Xiuling activated the Audi and prepared to depart.
Whether Zhang Xian was Mo Shaoyun's fiancé or not remained uncertain, but his knowledge of her birthday certainly indicated some level of association. She felt compelled to inform him, to prevent any potential complications or delays concerning important matters.
The security guard stood dumbfounded, his gaze fixed on Zhang Xian with palpable astonishment. How could this individual know Mo Shaoyun's birthday? Was it conceivable that he was genuinely her fiancé?
Good heavens! This was sensational news! Potentially headline-grabbing, the fiancé of Mo Shaoyun makes a clandestine appearance at Jinxiu Residence.
