Yang Chen arrives to find Broken Wind of the Spirit God Race confronting Zhang Xuelian. Yang Chen quickly dispatches Broken Wind and the other Spirit God Race members. He then realizes the Zhang Xuelian before him is a merged consciousness of Zhang Xuelian and Hua Wanru, who explains her willingness to merge to help Yang Chen.

Yang Chen found himself with a mix of laughter and tears, witnessing the frequent shifts in Zhang Xuelian's demeanor before him.

One moment she blazed with passion, the next she was as cold and distant as ice and snow, making it quite a challenge to keep up.

Yet, as Zhang Xuelian met his gaze with her icy silence, Yang Chen’s heart felt a surge of warmth. He was certain she was aware of Hua Wanru's predicament, but her unspoken discretion was a testament to her character. She would never engage in needless arguments or confrontations.

Yang Chen felt an overwhelming debt to Zhang Xuelian, reflecting on the magnitude of her sacrifices for him, which underscored the profound depth of her love.

Without a word, Zhang Xuelian took the lead, guiding Yang Chen towards a secluded locale situated over the vast expanse of the sea.

The area, encircled by numerous islands, featured a central body of water that bore a striking resemblance to a lake.

Upon setting eyes on this lake, Yang Chen was immediately taken aback.

“Mo Xin Lake?”

Indeed, at the heart of the island cluster lay Mo Xin Lake, and Yang Chen couldn't help but voice his confusion: “What’s happening here?”

“According to my divinations,” Zhang Xuelian explained softly, “countless treasures lie hidden beneath Bi Shuangxing. Among them are supreme artifacts capable of inciting conflict even among experts of the Heavenly Extreme Realm. However, none possess the enigma of the one concealed at the bottom of Mo Xin Lake.”

Yang Chen crossed his arms, nodding in agreement. His own suspicions mirrored hers.

“I've visited Mo Xin Lake before,” Yang Chen remarked. “It possesses an unnerving strangeness… Zhang Xuelian, did you uncover anything else?”

“My deductions were limited to the fact that Mo Xin Lake holds a formidable opportunity, one that could significantly benefit you and even alter the course of your life. Beyond that, I wasn’t able to discern further details, nor did I invest more effort,” Zhang Xuelian stated calmly. “Therefore, I didn’t explore further.”

Hearing this, Yang Chen’s heart grew even warmer. He realized that while he had been strategizing against the Spirit Separation Ancestor, Zhang Xuelian had been meticulously planning every step from his perspective.

“Additionally, all I could ascertain was that the creator of Bi Shuangxing is named Gu Xuanfeng. His identity and the source of his mystery remain beyond my divinatory reach,” Zhang Xuelian confessed.

“How formidable must one be for your divinations to fail?” Yang Chen inquired.

Zhang Xuelian shook her head. “Typically, I can uncover some details even about ordinary Heavenly Extreme Realm experts. But this is different; merely deducing a name has already consumed a significant portion of my energy.”

Yang Chen recognized that Zhang Xuelian’s divination skills had indeed advanced. Learning from Ancestor Pasara had clearly not been in vain.

“I’ve entered Mo Xin Lake once before,” Yang Chen shared. “However, despite multiple attempts, penetrating the vortex at its depths has proven exceedingly difficult. Let’s try again this time,” he continued, turning to Princess Wenqi. “Senior Wenqi, please join us.”

Princess Wenqi materialized and calmly responded, “Very well, I shall.”

Zhang Xuelian showed no surprise at Princess Wenqi’s arrival, as if she had anticipated it.

The trio proceeded directly into the lake’s waters.

Their cultivated strengths made entering the lake's embrace a simple matter. Mo Xin Lake presented a significant hazard to those in the Heaven-separated Realm, but not necessarily to those in the Heaven-appointed Realm.

However, as soon as Zhang Xuelian submerged, visible signs of distress emerged. It was apparent that prolonged exposure to the lake water would be an arduous trial for her.

Yang Chen swiftly enveloped Zhang Xuelian within his Space-Time Law, providing a measure of relief.

Taking a gentle breath, Zhang Xuelian’s color gradually returned. She softly commented, “This Mo Xin Lake is incredibly taxing for cultivators of the ordinary Heaven-appointed Realm.”

Yang Chen observed that not only Zhang Xuelian but also Princess Wenqi nearby was frowning, her expression tense. It was evident that she too was finding it challenging to maintain her composure and remain unscathed within Mo Xin Lake.

Moreover, it seemed even Princess Wenqi’s resilience had its limits.

“Senior Wenqi, are you holding up alright?” Yang Chen inquired.

Only he seemed unfettered, his mastery of Space-time effortlessly allowing him to navigate the depths of Mo Xin Lake.

Princess Wenqi sighed, “Mo Xin Lake is truly peculiar. Even with my abilities, enduring its depths for an extended period proves difficult. I fear I can only maintain my state for the duration it takes an incense stick to burn.”

“Merely that long…” Yang Chen exclaimed in surprise. With a reluctant sigh, he declared, “Let us set that aside for now and focus on unraveling the mysteries at the bottom of Mo Xin Lake.”

The three exchanged nods of agreement.

At the lakebed of Mo Xin Lake, a distinct vortex could be seen. This vortex represented the true enigma of Mo Xin Lake.

“Senior Wenqi, shall we descend together?” Yang Chen proposed.

Princess Wenqi nodded. The closer they drew to the vortex within Mo Xin Lake, the more intense the pressure became. She was now expending all her energy to counteract the oppressive forces emanating from the lake.

Zhang Xuelian’s cultivation seemed insufficient to brave the vortex. Even with Yang Chen’s Space-time Power enveloping her, her progress was just barely perceptible.

Together, Yang Chen and Princess Wenqi launched themselves towards the swirling vortex.

However, as they descended, Princess Wenqi's speed noticeably diminished. She found the vortex's resistance increasingly formidable, as if an unseen barrier was impeding her advance.

Yang Chen encountered a similar impediment. Yet, unlike Princess Wenqi, his mastery of the Space-time Law enabled him to withstand the opposing force with relative ease.

It was this superior control that allowed him to shatter the resistance, surge through the enigmatic vortex, and emerge fully at the base of Mo Xin Lake.

Having navigated a myriad of challenges, the panorama confronting Yang Chen abruptly expanded, the surroundings undergoing a dramatic transformation.

It revealed itself to be a rather unremarkable small woodland, within which stood a humble thatched dwelling. Before the structure, a solitary stone stele was erected.

Yang Chen's initial action was to scan his surroundings. Observing Princess Wenqi's absence, he remarked with a tinge of resignation, "It appears even Senior Wenqi found it challenging to descend. However, I've established protective spatial-temporal techniques to safeguard them both within Mo Xin Lake. Let us now investigate this peculiar location…"

The entire setting exuded an air of strangeness, most notably the prominent stele before him, the purpose of which Yang Chen could not fathom.

"This stele…"

The first characters Yang Chen discerned were five imposing Chinese characters inscribed upon its surface.

Tomb of Gu Xuanfeng.

Yet, upon closer scrutiny, the structure bore little resemblance to a conventional sepulcher for the deceased. While he possessed an understanding of the cosmic cycle of life and death, not a single sign of mortality was present in the vicinity of this 'tomb'.

This was particularly true of the arcane glyphs intricately carved into the stele's apex!

Yang Chen became instantly captivated by these patterns, finding himself utterly unable to disengage from their allure.

"Space-time, space-time?" Yang Chen exclaimed in astonishment. "This tombstone actually wields the power to reverse time itself?"
