Ye Chenfeng's bones are healing thanks to a rare potion from the Dream Space, though his meridians are still in a critical state. While recovering, he learns about the dangerous Flame Demon Fish hunted by Floating Cloud City, with people from the scrapyard used as disposable bait. Ye Chenfeng resolves to recover his strength and find a way out of the Dream Space.

As Ye Chenfeng closed the door, intending to mend and align his damaged meridians.

A commotion from outside reached his ears. He had explicitly requested Cao Yunwei and her brother to leave him undisturbed for the day, wishing for solitude to recover.

Nevertheless, the incessant noise outside prevented Ye Chenfeng from quietly reorganizing his meridians. He resolved to leave his room and investigate, only to find a throng of people gathered before the residence of Cao Yunwei and Cao Xiaodong.

Cao Yunwei's brow was furrowed in worry, while Cao Xiaodong's countenance was contorted with rage.

Confronting the siblings was a middle-aged man. Despite Ye Chenfeng's inability to circulate his Spiritual Qi due to his fractured meridians, and thus lacking any discernible aura, he could ascertain that this man was situated at the Initial Stage of the Threefold Heaven of the Nirvana Realm.

This menacing middle-aged man was identified as Ding Zhenhu, a prominent and formidable figure within the Junkyard.

The paramount ruler of the Junkyard was Ding Zhenlong, Ding Zhenhu’s elder brother, whose cultivation had reached the Peak of the Fivefold Heaven of the Nirvana Realm.

The collective might of the Ding brothers, Ding Zhenlong and Ding Zhenhu, resided entirely within the Nirvana Realm. Their united front naturally allowed them to establish dominance over the Junkyard.

Many years prior, the Ding brothers had resided within Floating Cloud City. This was permissible because Ding Zhenlong had attained the Divinity Transformation Realm at that time. Individuals who reached this esteemed realm were granted the privilege of residing in Floating Cloud City, and they could bring their families, even if the family members themselves had not yet achieved Divinity Transformation.

However, the environment within the mysterious space proved inhospitable for cultivation. Coupled with Ding Zhenlong's prolonged difficulty in acquiring cultivation resources, his power waned. After his cultivation regressed below the Divinity Transformation Realm, he and his brother, Ding Zhenhu, were forcibly removed from Floating Cloud City. Upon their arrival at the Junkyard, the two brothers swiftly ascended to the position of overlords.

Ding Zhenhu held little genuine interest in cultivation; his primary passion was for women. He had pursued and 'enjoyed' the company of nearly every woman in the Junkyard, with the singular exception of Cao Yunwei. The reason for this abstinence was Cao Yunwei's possession of a potent Spirit Talisman, capable of inflicting severe harm even upon a powerful cultivator at the Peak of the Fivefold Heaven of the Nirvana Realm. Considering that even Ding Zhenlong's strength was capped at the Peak of the Fivefold Heaven, Ding Zhenhu harbored no audacity to force himself upon Cao Yunwei.

Nevertheless, Ding Zhenhu would still frequently torment Cao Yunwei and Cao Xiaodong. He was acutely aware that Cao Yunwei possessed only a single Spirit Talisman, an artifact she would only unleash when driven to the absolute brink of desperation.

As Ye Chenfeng emerged from the humble, dilapidated dwelling, Ding Zhenhu and the surrounding onlookers immediately directed their attention towards him.

The fact that this newcomer, Ye Chenfeng, had been taken in by the Cao siblings was now common knowledge throughout the entire Junkyard.

Ding Zhenhu, his features twisted in a repulsive expression, flashed a malevolent grin upon spotting Ye Chenfeng. He then sneered at Cao Yunwei, saying, "Yunwei, is this the fellow you've developed an affection for? I heard a few days ago that you brought some worthless trash back with you. It appears those rumors were indeed true."

"I heard that this kid's bones and meridians were completely shattered. How, then, is he capable of moving about now? To have his bones mended so swiftly would necessitate incredibly rare and precious healing elixirs. It seems your late parents bequeathed you with considerable valuables, and yet you squandered such invaluable medicine on this piece of refuse?"

Ding Zhenhu was far from unintelligent. He grasped the situation instantly, and his gaze towards Ye Chenfeng intensified with outright hostility.

The onlookers, having absorbed Ding Zhenhu’s pronouncements, silently concurred, nodding in agreement. They deemed the Cao siblings utterly foolish for expending such precious healing concoctions on a man utterly devoid of worth.

After all, they were aware that Ye Chenfeng had only reached the age of thirty. Even if his bones and meridians were miraculously restored, and his former strength fully regained, he would still fall short of reaching the Nirvana Realm.

Cao Xiaodong moved to Ye Chenfeng's side and discreetly informed him of Ding Zhenhu's identity.

Over the preceding few days, Ye Chenfeng had also gleaned information regarding Ding Zhenhu and Ding Zhenlong from Cao Xiaodong.

To speak candidly, confronting an individual of Ding Zhenhu's caliber and formidable strength did not instill any apprehension within Ye Chenfeng, even with his meridians still in a state of disrepair. At the very least, his bones and physical body had achieved a state of recovery. Having endured the tempering within the Spatial Turbulence, his physique had attained the Mid Divine Honor Realm. Relying solely on his Mid Divine Honor Realm body, he possessed the capability to utterly overwhelm individuals wielding power within the Nirvana Realm.

Cao Yunwei’s brow furrowed further, her voice chillingly cold as she retorted, "Ding Zhenhu, the choice of whom I, Cao Yunwei, decide to heal is entirely my own affair. Do not entertain any delusions about me; I will never yield to your demands."

Ding Zhenhu let out a chuckle. "Yunwei, why cling so stubbornly to your refusal? What's truly so undesirable about me? Here in this Junkyard, at the very least, no one would dare harbor malicious intentions towards you. Furthermore, though my brother and I were unjustly banished from Floating Cloud City, he still maintains valuable connections there. He is on the verge of achieving the Divinity Transformation Realm once more. At that point, you and your brother could accompany us to reside once more in Floating Cloud City. This is an opportunity presented only once in a lifetime, and I have reserved it for you, yet you dismiss me so readily?"

Cao Yunwei remained utterly unmoved by Ding Zhenhu’s persuasive words, her exquisite eyes reflecting naught but pure disgust. "Xiaodong and I are content with our lives here. Kindly cease your persistent disturbances."

Normally, Ding Zhenhu would depart after a brief period of pestering, but his resolve seemed unyielding today. His countenance soured, and he declared with a snarl, "Cao Yunwei, my offer to claim you as my woman is a grace bestowed by your past lives. Or do you perhaps harbor affections for this absolute trash?"

Ding Zhenhu gestured dismissively towards Ye Chenfeng, his voice dripping with contempt. "Behold this waste of space. Aside from his marginally pleasing features, what else does he possess? He lacks even the faintest ripple of Qi. Within our Junkyard, he is truly the dregs of dregs, the most profound of failures. He will soon become mere sustenance for the fishes."

Ye Chenfeng regarded Ding Zhenhu with a placid gaze, offering no verbal retort. This display caused Cao Yunwei to shake her head in resignation, deeming Ye Chenfeng excessively weak, incapable of even summoning a flicker of anger when subjected to such blatant insults.

Internally, Cao Yunwei reflected, "Alas, he is but a powerless soul. Given his current predicament, adopting a demeanor of weakness and meekness might be his only method for prolonged survival within the Junkyard."

Little did Cao Yunwei realize.

Ye Chenfeng regarded Ding Zhenhu as less than an insignificant insect.

Conceive of a minuscule insect daring to mock a colossal elephant; would such an elephant be inexplicably enraged?

With but a casual flick of its limb, the elephant could effortlessly annihilate the insect.

Ye Chenfeng and Ding Zhenhu existed on entirely different planes of being, their comparison rendered absurd.
