Ye Chenfeng acquired two bottles of low-grade Rejuvenation Elixir, which Old White and Old Black confirmed would slowly repair their damaged souls over eight months. He absorbed the elixir into his body for them to utilize. Upon learning from the Nine Nether Ice Lion clan's first Clan Leader of a Teleportation Array to the Dragon Clan's sealed ancestral land, Ye Chenfeng activated it and departed Ice Lion Valley in search of clues to the clan's ancient decline.

Ye Chenfeng triggered the Teleportation Array and suddenly faced total darkness in his vision. When sight returned to him, Ice Lion Valley was nowhere in view. Though he had steeled his mind beforehand, he still stared blankly at everything around for several minutes before pulling himself together.

Could this be the legendary ancestral land of the Dragon Clan? The famed home base of the Dragon Clan, hailed as the supreme leader among all races?

Raising his gaze, he saw a pitch-black, suffocating sky overhead that made drawing breath feel exhausting. The air rushing into his nose carried a foul murkiness, forcing Ye Chenfeng to wrinkle his brow on instinct.

Taking in the landscape, the Dragon Clan’s ancestral land stretched endlessly to the horizon, far beyond what eyes could grasp.

Yet everywhere he looked stood nothing but endless ruins. The earth showed massive shocking pits, toppled mountains, parched river channels, and shattered remnants of countless structures, all bearing witness to its lost splendor.

Back in the Ancient Era’s beginning, the Dragon Clan reigned supreme over every race. Their ancestral land buzzed as a grand center, drawing powerhouses from other clans. It held fame as the era’s most vibrant and thriving spot.

Yet today, only bleak emptiness lingers, with the Dragon Clan that once ruled the world vanishing from the stage in utter tragedy. This sight only hardened Ye Chenfeng’s determination to attain Eternal Life.

Even so, this remains the Dragon Clan’s ancestral land. Faint traces of dragon aura still cling to the air, and the clan leader’s mark on Ye Chenfeng’s back linked subtly to it, evoking a sense of returning home.

And right then, True Dragon aura began pouring endlessly from Ye Chenfeng’s form.

The gloomy sky abruptly roiled, as massive bolts of purple energy crashed down from on high.

This purple energy resembled lightning but wasn’t, bearing no tie to Heavenly Thunder—just pure, overwhelming power.

The purple energy plummeted rapidly near Ye Chenfeng.

Deafening "Boom! Boom! Boom!" blasts rang out without stop.

Earth and debris flew everywhere, and each spot where purple energy hit formed deep pits right away. Ye Chenfeng now grasped the origin of all those enormous craters.

Dodging the purple energies falling from above with haste, Ye Chenfeng realized a direct hit would probably incinerate his body to nothing. The aura within that purple energy terrified him, enough to pound his heart fiercely.

As moments ticked by.

The falling purple energy picked up speed, growing too swift for Ye Chenfeng to evade. All at once, Wu Fengxian’s voice rang out: "Young one, quickly suppress all your dragon aura. Old Hei and I will help conceal it."

At those words, Ye Chenfeng quelled the dragon aura leaking from his body, breaking the tie to the ancestral land’s dragon aura. Aided by Old Bai and Old Hei, dragon aura soon vanished completely from him.

With Ye Chenfeng’s dragon aura gone, the sky’s purple energies faded away bit by bit, restoring calm to the dark heavens.

While dodging nonstop, Ye Chenfeng inquired, "Old Bai, Old Hei, what’s going on?"

"Any Dragon Clan member stepping into this ancestral land activates those laws, unleashing endless assaults from this purple energy. The strikes grow faster and fiercer with time, though non-Dragon Clan folk remain unharmed."

"Your experience proves it. Moments ago, dragon aura flared from your body, stirring the sky, but fully masking it with our aid brought back tranquility. Though lacking pure dragon bloodline, the clan leader’s mark lets you hide your dragon aura."

"Yet for true dragon blood carriers, fully suppressing their blood aura proves nearly impossible."

"No ordinary power can forge such Heaven and Earth Laws. Even a Divine Emperor Realm expert might fail at it. Some power clearly seeks the Dragon Clan’s total wipeout, barring them even from their ancestral land. Might this power hail from the heavens themselves?"

Wu Fengxian’s words resounded in Ye Chenfeng’s mind, deepening his bewilderment. He yearned to uncover why the Dragon Clan’s powerhouses kept dying off in ancient times. Without that knowledge, lifting the curse on any future Dragon Clan bloodlines he met would stay out of reach.

Ye Chenfeng traversed the devastated ancestral land, hunting for any traces or hints. Three hours into his journey, a peculiar unease seized him. His eyebrows knitted ever tighter, prompting him to drop into a crouch and press his palms against the earth.

"Cough! Cough! Cough!"

A brutal coughing seized Ye Chenfeng, relentless and spewing blood straight from his throat. His internal organs failed at a terrifying speed, skin creasing into wrinkles swiftly, hair bleaching white right before his eyes, as though hurtling toward death in a frenzy of decay.

"Huff! Huff! Huff!"

Ye Chenfeng's gasps turned frantic and labored, his vitality leaking away in a rush. In desperate thought, he cried out, "Old Bai, Old Hei, what's wrong with me? Is this the fabled Dragon Clan curse?"

Blood kept gushing from Ye Chenfeng’s mouth. No external forces invaded his body; the torment struck without warning. Wrinkles scarred his face already, giving him the visage of a withered ancient.

Wu Fengxian and Jiang Yuntian sensed no abnormalities in Ye Chenfeng’s body as well. What triggered this sudden horror? Every part of Ye Chenfeng except his heart decayed at breakneck pace. That heart, now the Star Sky Stone—the sky's own core—rendered it his body's mightiest, flawless vital hub.

Ye Chenfeng grew weaker by the moment, awareness fading into haze. Teeth gritted fiercely, he stammered mentally, "Old, Old Bai, Old, Old Hei, my body, I, I can’t control it."

With the Rejuvenation Elixir steadily blending into their souls, Wu Fengxian and Jiang Yuntian poured endless power into Ye Chenfeng’s form, scouring every single cell yet discovering no cause for his dire state.

Anxiety surged through Old Bai and Old Hei, fully aware that failing to halt Ye Chenfeng’s explosive aging meant his doom was imminent.

Solemnly, Wu Fengxian intoned, "Old Hei, what do we do? Why does this cursed Dragon Clan ancestral land remain so enigmatic? Ages have flown by since the Dragon Clan’s collapse."

Jiang Yuntian answered, "Could the curse really be activating?"

"Kid, hang on just a bit more—let Old Bai and me devise a fix; something's definitely amiss in your body!"

Their energies flowed without end; right as bewilderment peaked and Ye Chenfeng's frailty deepened, suddenly his rapid aging screeched to a halt, the Star Sky Stone heart pounding with heightened rhythm.
