The Martial Emperor with Dragon Blood Chapter 1604 - 1605: Immortal Talisman Corps
Previously on The Martial Emperor with Dragon Blood...
The queen of Fengling Dynasty has two sons and a daughter, the eldest Prince Xuanyuan Ting, the Second Prince is Xuanyuan Ze, and the youngest is Princess Xuanyuan Fengwu.
Though the queen has no plans of abdicating, the three siblings are both openly and secretly vying for power. Even before they have matured, they are already plotting for their future and quietly recruiting their own forces.
The eldest Prince born first, does not possess remarkable cultivation talent. Currently, he is merely a powerhouse at the Immortal Class Realm, but he has the deepest scheming mind, constantly forming factions within the dynasty, many ministers have secretly pledged loyalty to him.
As for the Second Prince Xuanyuan Ze, his cultivation talent is the strongest among them. At less than a thousand years old, he has already cultivated to the Upper Immortal level and comprehended four types of laws. He is one of the most talented geniuses of Fengling Dynasty, and his goal is to devote himself to cultivation. If he manages to enter the Immortal Martial Academy for cultivation, within a millennium, he is sure to become the top genius of Fengling Dynasty.
When it comes to Xuanyuan Fengwu, she would certainly be the number one in cultivation talent in Fengling Dynasty, however, at the age of one hundred, during a mission, her legs were crippled by a mysterious person, her meridians entirely destroyed, and her Immortal Will was sealed by a mysterious force. The queen invited the dynasty’s top alchemists but none could save Xuanyuan Fengwu, resulting in her being confined to a wheelchair ever since.
Though Xuanyuan Fengwu’s cultivation is all but gone, relying on a wheelchair for mobility, she is extremely intelligent and beloved by the queen. Some speculate the queen might pass the throne to Xuanyuan Fengwu, but compared to her siblings, she doesn’t possess much competitive advantage.
"Alright!"
Ye Mo agreed without hesitation, leaving Mu Qing and Yuan Li somewhat surprised. Ye Mo’s quick acceptance without asking anything left them somewhat suspicious.
Mu Qing couldn’t help but say, "Ye Mo, your agreement seems too hasty?"
"I’m just a martial artist who ascended from the secular world, without any background here, and I’ve even offended the Second Prince Xuanyuan Ze. If I can join the Princess’s Immortal Talisman Army, Xuanyuan Ze, if he wants to deal with me, should take a look at who stands behind me, right?"
Ye Mo said with a faint smile.
"Haha, a good answer."
Mu Qing laughed loudly, suddenly producing a medal in his hand, the medal intricately carved, with a "seal" character on it, and directly tossed it to Ye Mo, saying: "This is the Immortal Talisman Corps medal. Possessing this medal represents you as a member of the Immortal Talisman Corps, and this medal also contains an independent space, which adds one million Immortal Stones every month, this being your stipend. If you want to increase your stipend, you need to upgrade your Immortal Talisman Master level."
Ye Mo took the medal, mentally probing into it, indeed finding a space within, although it was completely empty.
"If you want to raise your stipend, there’s another way, you can go to the Immortal Metropolis. The Commandery Princess hosts an Immortal Talisman Master competition secretly every year, held only within the Immortal Talisman Master Corps. The winner not only receives large rewards but also can increase their stipend."
Mu Qing explained.
"One million Immortal Stones per month is already a significant amount, besides, we’re just nominal members."
Ye Mo said.
"Nominal member? You are mistaken. Entering the Immortal Talisman Corps requires submitting ten of your personally crafted seals each month. You just need to place them into the space of your medal at the end of each month, only then will you receive one million Immortal Stones, and if the Immortal Talisman Corps has tasks, they will be issued through this medal."
Mu Qing continued explaining.
"I see, but it’s still a pretty good job."
Ye Mo smiled lightly, finding that submitting ten crafted seals monthly wasn’t much of a hassle.
Upon hearing Ye Mo’s agreement, Mu Qing nodded as well, then took a deep breath and in a consulting tone asked: "Ye Mo, I want to ask, how did you manage to craft the Fire Tomb talisman to such a perfect degree?"
Even though Mu Qing holds a significant status within Xuanyuan Fengwu’s Immortal Talisman Corps, not needing to pay respects even when meeting Xuanyuan Fengwu, he showed a very respectful tone when consulting Ye Mo.
After all, in the path of an Immortal Talisman Master, talent often outweighs hard work. Even though Mu Qing’s charm master level is higher than Ye Mo’s, able to craft Third Rank seals, he cannot craft seals as perfect as Ye Mo’s, so he is naturally eager to learn.
Ye Mo was also straightforward, imparting some of his insights into crafting seals to Mu Qing and Yuan Li, including the nuances of inscribing runes and embedding the Power of Laws within them, explaining everything thoroughly, benefitting both Mu Qing and Yuan Li greatly, making them increasingly respectful towards Ye Mo.
After half a day’s time, Ye Mo thought of purchasing some cultivation resources, preparing for a breakthrough before the Immortal Martial Academy enrollment, and thus bid farewell to Mu Qing.
..
In a palatial villa within the mansion, outside a lavish room, came a series of knocks on the door.
"Come in!"
Inside the room, Ling Shan, dressed in fitted black clothes, upon recognizing whose voice it was, called out and immediately after, the door was pushed open, revealing Xuanyuan Ze’s silhouette outside.
"Shanshan, may I come in?"
Xuanyuan Ze asked courteously from outside.
"Your Royal Highness, the Prince, please come in!"
Ling Shan responded.
Xuanyuan Ze entered the room, observing Ling Shan by candlelight, seeing her in a black outfit fully exhibiting her figure, igniting a flame of desire within him.
With a wave, Xuanyuan Ze closed the door, looking at Ling Shan, speaking with utmost tenderness: "Shanshan, you are truly beautiful."
"Thank you!"
Ling Shan replied with a hint of indifference, "Your Royal Highness, the Prince, what is the matter so late at night?"
"Shanshan, after all these days together, what do you think of me?"
Xuanyuan Ze asked softly.
"Your Royal Highness, the Prince, you are the epitome of excellence, not only powerful in cultivation but also recognized as a genius in Fengling Dynasty. It’s my fortune to be noticed by you, Your Highness."
Ling Shan said, full of courtesy.
Upon hearing this, Xuanyuan Ze took a step closer, his body nearly touching Ling Shan, speaking tenderly: "Shanshan, now that we’re engaged, as soon as I become an elite student of the Immortal Martial Academy, I will marry you with pomp and ceremony. How about sharing a bed tonight?"
Saying this, Xuanyuan Ze attempted to embrace Ling Shan’s slender waist.
Ling Shan’s expression changed subtly, avoiding Xuanyuan Ze deftly with a step, saying: "Your Royal Highness, the Prince, we are not truly married yet, we should maintain some distance."
"Shanshan, you will be mine sooner or later, why be so reserved?"
Xuanyuan Ze chuckled, like a beast, directly lunging at Ling Shan.
