Beyond Evil Dog Ridge lies Golden Chicken Mountain.

The peaks of Golden Chicken Mountain are two ridges, the straight peaks climb slowly, like crawling from a chicken’s back to its crest.

These two trials, Evil Dog Ridge and Golden Chicken Mountain, are passages all souls must pass through.

Only after passing these two barriers do they qualify to become ghosts.

Once at Golden Chicken Mountain, flocks of roosters rush at them.

Though appearing ordinary, their steel beaks are even more formidable than a Divine Eagle’s beak.

They peck at the souls’ eyes, their flapping wings prevent the souls from opening their eyes.

Their sharp claws are like the soul-hooking anchors in the hands of Dahei, tearing into the soul, penetrating the internal organs, without extracting your heart and liver, they won’t relent.

Next is the Wild Ghost Village.

Though called Wild Ghost Village, it’s bustling like a lively Heroic City in the mortal world.

But in reality, it’s all the souls’ trickery.

Evil Dog Ridge and Golden Chicken Mountain have left many souls incomplete, who await here to rob others in order to proceed to the next phase.

Once complete, they must proceed to the Love Hall, drink the love-curing water, and expel all their life’s sins.

Then comes entering Fengdu City, the Netherworld Underworld.

The gate to the grandest Heroic City of the Netherworld displays a couplet.

Upper line: Human and ghost, ghost and human, humans and ghosts tread separate paths.

Lower line: Yin and Yang, Yang and Yin, Yin and Yang are eternally separated.

There is no horizontal inscription.

There hangs a black plaque inscribed with golden letters: Fengdu City.

In Fengdu City, no sun, moon, or stars are seen.

No earthly dust is seen below.

The Ten Halls Yama reside within.

The ghost soldiers here lead souls into various Yama Halls based on their sins, where the Judges determine their punishment.

The Judge penalizes this person’s life’s sins and decides to throw them into the Eighteen Layers of Hell.

After enduring the Eighteen Layers of Hell, they have a chance to glimpse the legendary Naihe Bridge.

A chance to meet the legendary Mengpo on Naihe Bridge.
