Ye Xuan parted ways with Zhou Youwei after a heartfelt conversation, then brought Duan Rourou to the Immortal King Hall. He bid farewell to Duan Rourou, asking her to look after her, before heading to the back mountain of the Immortal King Hall to see a dragon he had saved.

"Emperor Ye."

The elder rose to greet him upon seeing Ye Xuan.

Ye Xuan signaled it wasn't necessary, took a seat casually, and tossed a mana-condensed stone into the Divine Pond.

BOOM!

In the following moment, a magnificent, ferocious Divine Dragon ascended into the heavens, consumed the stone whole, and then plunged back into the Divine Pond, creating substantial ripples.

The Divine Pond, and even its so-called water, were all a fabrication.

It was entirely composed of Qi.

This was because the method for raising dragons, in this context, involved nurturing a dragon formed from Qi, unlike the real dragons Ye Xuan himself raised.

"It appears to be quite effective."

Ye Xuan let out a slight smile.

The elder chuckled, stating, "This outcome would have been impossible without Emperor Ye's intervention; otherwise, the Supreme Pavilion would never have so readily shared the Dragon Raising Technique."

Ye Xuan rubbed his nose and remarked, "That only means your master gave considerable resources to Gai; normally, given his disposition, he wouldn't part with such a technique for you."

"Speaking of which, why hasn't your master appeared yet?"

The elder shook his head, replying, "I do not know; perhaps some unforeseen circumstances arose at the last moment."

Ye Xuan didn't dwell on the matter of Wu Muchen, instead turning his attention to the elder and inquiring casually, "Have you given any further thought to the Luotian Grand Jiao event?"

This elder was none other than the revered ancestor of the Immortal King Hall, Huang Shigong, once acclaimed as a peerless genius alongside Gui Guzi within the Daoist Sect!

Upon hearing Ye Xuan’s question, Huang Laodao offered a dry laugh and responded, "Did I not inform Emperor Ye previously that I would return?"

Ye Xuan cast a sideways glance at Huang Laodao and stated plainly, "There are numerous methods of returning, including dispatching a letter."

Huang Laodao waved his hand dismissively, asserting, "How could that suffice! I shall make my return in person when the appointed time arrives."

Ye Xuan emitted a soft 'hm'.

"However, I harbor a persistent feeling that this Luotian Grand Jiao might not proceed as smoothly as anticipated this time around."

Huang Laodao’s brow furrowed slightly as he spoke in a low tone, "For reasons unknown, I've been experiencing a sense of unease recently. The world's trajectory seems unusually tumultuous, particularly with the imminent descent of those two individuals to the Lower Realm once the Heavenly Dao Suppression finally concludes."

When mentioning those two, Huang Laodao couldn't resist glancing furtively at Ye Xuan.

These two Great Emperors were, in fact, nurtured by Emperor Ye himself.

Yet, the subsequent conflicts that erupted between Emperor Ye and the Twin Emperors hinted at a strained relationship, far from amicable.

The specifics, however, remained unknown to Huang Laodao.

"The Heavenly Mechanism remains obscured."

Ye Xuan displayed no excessive contemplation, merely sighing lightly, "That is precisely why your Daoist Sect's Luotian Grand Jiao is crucial for stabilizing matters somewhat."

Huang Laodao echoed the sentiment with a sigh, "Let us hope that proves to be the case."

"On a related note, Emperor Ye, with the Emperor Road's opening this time, if you were to embark on that journey, wouldn't you miss the Luotian Grand Jiao?"

Huang Laodao pondered this and couldn't help but direct his gaze toward Ye Xuan.

Ye Xuan narrowed his eyes, observing the Divine Pond, and replied calmly, "Three to four years is ample time."

Huang Laodao appeared taken aback, inquiring, "Do you not require at least a decade to traverse the Emperor Road?"

Ye Xuan let out a light chuckle and elaborated slowly, "That entirely depends on the individual undertaking the journey."

Huang Laodao perceived the unparalleled confidence radiating from Ye Xuan.

Indeed.

This was the Undying Night Emperor.

"I shall certainly attend the Luotian Grand Jiao when it convenes."

Ye Xuan added, "Furthermore, please ensure the female disciple arriving today is well looked after. She possesses the Heavenly Fragrance Jade Body, which will prove immensely beneficial to your Immortal King Hall."

"When your master returns, be certain to relay this message, to prevent him from seeking disciples from me again."

With his declaration made, Ye Xuan rose to his feet.

Huang Laodao also stood and inquired, "Is Emperor Ye departing?"

Having risen, Ye Xuan placed his hands in his pockets and walked away without a backward glance, remarking, "We truly lack common ground, old friend."

Huang Laodao offered a wry smile, then clasped his hands in respect, bidding, "Farewell, Emperor Ye."

Ye Xuan departed.

Prior to his exit, he acknowledged Duan Rourou.

With Gu Ya and Pei Yanchao guiding her, Duan Rourou would integrate quickly into the Immortal King Hall; though she felt a pang of reluctance, she still waved goodbye to Ye Xuan, her eyes glistening.

Having exited the Immortal King Valley, Ye Xuan proceeded directly towards Wan'an City.

His path took him past the Liuhuo Dan Sect.

This sect, which had once harbored ill intentions towards his grandfather, showed no discernible signs of advancement.

After vanquishing Qin, the Hall Master who had insulted his grandfather, Ye Xuan had refrained from further action against the Liuhuo Dan Sect.

"Young Master Ye?"

At this moment, a surprised female voice emanated from nearby.

The voice was clear and melodious.

Ye Xuan's gaze shifted, observing a young maiden clad in the dark robes of an Alchemist. Despite her petite and endearing stature, one feature was particularly striking: her considerable assets.

A fleeting glance was all Ye Xuan needed to place her. Tong Shishi. Yet, her affiliation was with the Immortal King Valley; her presence within the Liuhuo Dan Sect's domain sparked a moment of bewilderment in Ye Xuan's mind.

Tong Shishi approached, stopping a short distance away, a hint of nervousness in her voice. "We meet again."

Ye Xuan offered a slight nod, his eyes briefly scanning the individuals behind her. The situation became clear: this dedicated Alchemy enthusiast was once again extending her kindness to those less fortunate cultivators.

"Is Young Master Ye returning to Wan’an City?" Tong Shishi inquired, her nervousness palpable.

Ye Xuan confirmed with a nod, "Yes."

Noticing Ye Xuan's reserved demeanor, disappointment flickered across Tong Shishi’s face, but she promptly continued, "Perhaps we could travel together? I am also headed to Wan’an City to acquire some medicinal herbs."

"From the Ye Family's purchase," she added, a detail that solidified Ye Xuan's decision.

He did not refuse her offer.

"Please wait a moment." Tong Shishi, overjoyed by his acceptance, hurried back to convey instructions to the cultivators. She then returned to Ye Xuan's side, maintaining a respectful distance. "Young Master Ye, let us depart."

"Mm," Ye Xuan responded with a subtle nod.

From a distance, the recovering cultivators watched the pair depart with warm smiles. "Could that gentleman be Miss Tong's intended? He certainly possesses great talent!"

"Indeed, a perfect match they would be."

"Miss Tong's benevolent heart suggests her beloved must be a man of virtue!"

"..."

Their effusive praise continued, but as Ye Xuan and Tong Shishi journeyed on, the sounds gradually receded.

A faint blush coloring her cheeks, Tong Shishi murmured, "They were merely speaking in jest; please do not take it to heart." She was acutely aware of Ye Xuan's established status and his marriage to an extraordinary spirit, a woman far beyond her own standing. Thus, she understood her place, even as the flattering remarks brought a fleeting sense of happiness.

Reality, however, served as a stark reminder: she and Young Master Ye belonged to different worlds. Yet, Tong Shishi observed Ye Xuan seemed lost in his thoughts, not paying her any attention.

"What did you say just now?" Noticing her gaze, Ye Xuan withdrew his thoughts and inquired.
