Ye Xuan rested at the cliff's edge, reminiscing about his brief youth amid eternal solitude, as he conversed deeply with Bai Ze. He nurtured the Little Red Sparrow's True Bone and realized Bai Ze was the 'acquaintance' who helped him secure the Evergreen Treasure Tree from the Desolate Realm Sovereign. They discussed the absence of sovereigns in the Great Ruins, Thunder Pond, and Black Abyss, questioning Dao Chu Ancient Land's true rulers, before the Guo Hezu emerged affectionately.

"Could it be that it selected me too..."

Ye Xuan's eyes snapped open, fixing on Guo Hezu.

Bai Ze stayed utterly silent.

A grin spread across Ye Xuan's face as he gripped Guo Hezu, unleashing a torrent of Sword Intent.

The whole of Qingqiu Mountain appeared shrouded in an unseen Sword Intent.

Fox Clan members honing their Sword Dao suddenly plunged into profound insights, thrilled to their cores.

Ye Xuan lightly spun a sword flower before stowing Guo Hezu back into the Snow Nourishing Sword Gourd, then reclined once more to savor the breeze sweeping the mountain.

His five Myriad Forms Bodies continued their cultivation.

Within his main body, the "Taichu Hongmeng Primordial Dao Technique" flowed ceaselessly.

In Ye Xuan’s current realm, each action formed an integral part of his cultivation.

Mana kept surging upward without pause.

Yet for experts at this level, such mana increases held little true significance.

The Great Sage Realm stood perilously close to the pinnacle of the entire Cultivation World, after all.

Progress here was treacherous; each advance demanded immense effort, often clashing against raging gales or bolts of divine thunder.

Cultivation relied on steady buildup; once that threshold was reached, the breakthrough came naturally.

Ye Xuan’s Taoist Body was unparalleled through the ages, demanding power thousands of times greater than typical cultivators for every realm.

Luckily, Ye Xuan shunned conventional routes entirely; had he not, ascending to the Great Sage Realm from a powerless mortal in mere moments would have been impossible.

Still, upon reaching the Great Sage Realm, Ye Xuan’s cultivation pace had notably decelerated.

This slowdown plagued every cultivator at the Great Sage Realm.

Unlike others, Ye Xuan could have long since advanced to the Heaven and Earth Great Sage Realm, yet he deliberately held back, sealing his cultivation at the Great Sage Realm.

One might say Ye Xuan had already shattered the limits of the Extreme Realm inside the Great Sage Realm without stepping into the Heaven and Earth Great Sage Realm.

Ye Xuan understood more clearly than anyone the vast fortunes awaiting on the Emperor Road; entering with merely the Great Sage Realm yielded far greater rewards than rivals.

Survival was the key condition, naturally.

The Emperor Road dripped with rivers of blood.

Most sought breakthroughs to loftier realms before the Emperor Road, aiming for dominance there.

Few possessed Ye Xuan’s bold resolve.

For three days, Ye Xuan slumbered atop this summit.

Employing the Sleeping Spring and Autumn technique to sense the flow of eras.

Nearby, a male Fox Clan member relentlessly chased after a female of their kind.

The female, however, showed clear reluctance, opting instead for courteous refusals.

His face darkened uglily as a result; in a low, heavy tone, he demanded:

"Wenwen, why do you keep turning me down? I really don’t get it; I’ve shown those other guys can’t match me, but you still keep me hanging. What’s the point?"

This male Fox Clan member had chased her persistently for ages; another rejection now unraveled his composure.

Her face paled at his words; biting her lip, she replied, "Zihao, you’re really great, but I have no real feelings for you, so I won’t lie to you."

Everyone in the Qingqiu Fox Clan bore the Tushan surname.

Tushan Zihao staggered as if thunderstruck, "If that’s true, why not tell me sooner?"

Guilt flickering in her eyes, Tushan Wenwen offered a swift apology, "I’m sorry, it’s on me."

With that, Tushan Wenwen spun around and departed.

Tushan Zihao stared at her retreating figure, his face twisting through myriad emotions, refusing to yield.

"Wenwen!"

Tushan Zihao lunged ahead, seizing Tushan Wenwen’s arm, begging, "Wait, don’t leave—give me one more shot; I’ll show no one cherishes you like I do!"

Pain shot through Tushan Wenwen’s wrist from his grasp, creasing her brow; pity stirred at Tushan Zihao’s desperate plea, but clarity had dawned today.

Dislike meant no feelings at all; dragging it out from sympathy would only wound Tushan Zihao deeper.

Thus, Tushan Wenwen’s gaze hardened, her voice freezing over: "Haven’t I been clear enough?"

"I don’t like you!"

Her declaration stabbed like daggers into Tushan Zihao’s heart, driving him to a frenzied state, akin to a cornered beast on the brink.

With a sinister growl, Tushan Zihao declared, "No, you belong to me alone; I won’t allow you to fall for anyone else!"

"Today, you become my woman, Tushan Zihao’s!"

Tushan Zihao's face flushed crimson, his intense stare fixed on Tushan Wenwen while his breaths quickened sharply.

Tushan Wenwen's face shifted dramatically, "What are you going to do?"

A spark of thrill danced in Tushan Zihao's eyes, "What I’ve always wanted to do!"

While uttering those words, Tushan Zihao unleashed a sly technique that sapped Tushan Wenwen's strength entirely, blocking her mana flow and sending her tumbling toward his waiting arms.

Lust gleamed wildly in Tushan Zihao's eyes as he leaned in close to Tushan Wenwen's ear, murmuring huskily, "I’ll be very rough."

Boom!

Just as his words ended.

A horrifying aura burst forth without warning, hurling Tushan Zihao through the air in a flash.

Tushan Zihao had no chance to respond before blood erupted from his mouth, his features draining to ashen pallor.

Raising his gaze, Tushan Zihao sought the one shattering his fantasies.

But the sight of the pristine white King’s Robe bearing nine snowy tails made his scalp crawl in dread; he flipped around instantly, dropping to his knees and kowtowing frantically, "Tushan Zihao greets Your Majesty!"

Now safe, Tushan Wenwen sensed her mana surging back and bowed deeply, "Tushan Wenwen greets the King, many thanks for Your Majesty’s timely rescue."

The arrival was Qingqiu Fox King, Tushan Chen.

Standing next to Tushan Chen were Qiankun Ancestor and Tong Wuji.

Qiankun Ancestor stayed utterly calm and poised, while Tong Wuji's face twisted oddly, pondering silently that Qingqiu Mountain's fox clan mirrored humans closely; denied their heart's desire, some stoop to vile tricks.

Tushan Chen's visage remained frosty; with a casual flick of his hand, he declared, "Throw Tushan Zihao into the dungeon, after three punishments, he is to be imprisoned for a thousand years."

His command barely faded when savage Qingqiu Fox Clan guards materialized from nowhere, dragging Tushan Zihao away without a moment for his pleas.

"Thank you, Your Majesty, for your judgment." Tushan Wenwen brimmed with profound gratitude.

"You can leave, just be more mindful of how you handle things in the future." Tushan Chen stated coldly.

Tushan Wenwen's heart jolted, her feelings a tangled mess, yet she murmured 'Yes' and departed.

With the incident resolved, Tushan Chen massaged his brow and approached Ye Xuan's resting spot, bowing low in deference, "I am guilty; I failed to manage Qingqiu Mountain properly, sullying Emperor Ye’s eyes. Please, Emperor Ye, punish me."

Ye Xuan leisurely parted his eyes, propped himself up, and offered a gentle smile, "All things have their own way of running. What does it matter about sullying one’s eyes? Such matters are unavoidable among all races."

The matters of love are the most complex.
