The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1682: Bone Ash Beasts - Great Harvest

The first beast Kaden saw was a wyvern-type beast with a colossal body and wide wings. It stood atop a massive skull, perhaps too large to fully comprehend.

It was a God Beast, and a very dangerous one, judging by the pressure around it. Kaden sensed a powerful aura emanating from its body, most of it infused with the Laws of Gravity and Wind.

The moment Kaden came within 600 meters of it, it sensed his presence.

ROAR

It roared in defiance, then flapped its wings and lunged toward him, dragging dust and debris into the air.

Kaden summoned a few spears from his Soul Sea and, using his mind, launched them forward. The spears shot through the air with deadly accuracy, colliding with the giant wyvern.

However, instead of hurting it, the spears bounced back, and the momentum the wyvern carried didn’t seem to lessen at all. If anything, his attack had caused them to move even faster.

Kaden didn’t panic when his attack failed.

Rather, he was intrigued, for he saw how the wyvern had defended against his spears. It appeared to create a gravity vacuum around the incoming spears before increasing the pressure on them, causing them to lose most of their attack power.

So what landed on its body was merely a fraction of the original attack.

But that wasn’t all. He also saw that, aside from the gravity vacuum, the wyvern had used the Law of Wind to create a wind shield around the parts of its body where the spears struck.

This level of mastery and control told Kaden everything he needed to know.

Defeating this wyvern would require equally refined control over the laws, and who better to test his understanding than a beast with an affinity for more than one law?

Kaden tapped into the Law of Void, which he currently had Harmony Comprehension of, and vanished just before the deadly claws of the wyvern could reach him.

The next moment, he appeared atop the wyvern’s back, then activated the Heavens Engine, increasing the surrounding pressure.

Kaden unleashed the power of the third layer of the Heavens Engine, and that alone was enough to send the wyvern crashing into the ground. It tried to stand, but Kaden unleashed the fourth layer of the Heavens Engine, stripping away nearly all of its resistance to the Law of Gravity.

Next, it was Kaden’s turn to attack, and he did so by driving a spear through the wyvern’s neck. It struggled for a few seconds before finally drawing its last breath.

"Oh, that isn’t something I saw coming." Kaden’s eyes widened, then a smile formed on his face. He hadn’t expected to make such a gain from killing just one beast.

In fact, he had never expected there to be something like this.

However, his first kill after arriving in the Bone Ash Valley had proven to hold greater rewards than he could have ever imagined.

"I feel so much stronger now." He smiled and then extended his divine sense to see if there were any more Bone Ash Beasts he could kill.

To Kaden, this had now become a priority since the more he improved his Law Comprehension, the stronger he would become, allowing him to navigate this place much more easily.

This discovery also made him wonder if the entire Elemental Garden possessed such a boon. If that were the case, then he wouldn’t mind spending a few hundred years bringing all his elemental laws to the Absolute stage.

That would surely make him much stronger and, more importantly, boost his other laws before he left this place.

Kaden soon left the scene and started hunting down Bone Ash Beasts.

Many would have tried to avoid these beasts, but not Kaden. He was already crazy enough, so after sensing the immense rewards they offered, he went for it. Within a day, he had killed about ten Bone Ash Beasts in the same fashion he had killed the wyvern.

He hadn’t leveled up, but he could feel that he had gained far more than he had before killing the wyvern. His understanding of the Law of Wind had increased tremendously.

So far, all the beasts he had encountered were wind-type beasts with comprehension of the Law of Gravity. This further reinforced Kaden’s belief that the intense gravity was unique to this part of the Elemental Garden.

However, by encountering only wind-type beasts, he also seemed to have gained a much deeper understanding of the Law of Wind.

If he could kill a few more wind-type beasts, his comprehension would deepen even further, allowing him to see a clear path to the Absolute stage and finally take that step.

Regardless, his understanding was no longer what it had been before he came to this place.

Kaden had no plans to actively hunt the beasts down, so he focused on following the path shown on the map and killing only the beasts he encountered along the way.

The next day, he continued, killing more beasts.

Three days into the journey, Kaden finally saw the end of the Bone Ash Valley.

But he didn’t smile when he saw it. In fact, a grim expression appeared on his face when he saw where he would have to travel next.

"I suddenly feel like the Bone Ash Valley is a much better place for me." Kaden smirked as he looked at the vast expanse of sea stretching as far as his eyes could see.

His next destination would take him across an endless sea, one Kaden knew would prove perilous. The reason was simple. Flying over the sea would be dangerous because he would be left with no cover, meaning any attack that came his way would strike him directly.

So, unlike in the Bone Ash Valley, where he at least had cover and could even rest at night, he wouldn’t be afforded such a luxury while traveling over the sea.

But before he got there, he first had to traverse the remaining stretch of the Bone Ash Valley. There were still Bone Ash Beasts between him and the sea that he had to deal with.

So he rested for the night, and the next day, he continued his journey, knowing it would be his last day in the Bone Ash Valley.

He had gained so much that even he didn’t know how to quantify it. His Law of Wind had progressed steadily, and so had his Law of Gravity.

So, after spending half a day killing more Bone Ash Beasts, he finally left the Bone Ash Valley behind and started traversing the vast ocean.

The moment he stepped onto the shore, a new set of messages appeared before his eyes.

[You have discovered the Three Elemental Sea.]

Kaden raised a brow for a few seconds before a smile appeared on his face.

"If the name says everything, then I’ll either be crossing three different sections of this sea, each bearing a different element, or all three elements are mixed together, and I’ll have to deal with all of them at the same time."

He didn’t let the smile on his face fade because he knew that the more elemental laws he was exposed to, the faster his growth in all aspects of the Elemental Laws would become.

He needed that opportunity, and now he was receiving it.
