The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1643: Reincarnated Friends (4)
Previously on The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse...
After the planet’s awakening, Klaus’s friends—Daniel, Danny, Kay, Mark, Kilian, Miguel, and Jason—ventured out using one of the available spaceships.
They initially decided to explore the Human Universe alone, but a few months later, they summoned their girlfriends.
Kilian and Scarlet had become an item after the planet’s awakening, even earning the blessing of Scarlet’s parents before they left Earth.
Daniel and Vira, the Huntress, had also come a long way. Since Vira had no parents, there was no need to inform her family. But Daniel made sure they signed the marriage documents in court before they left.
As for Mark, he and the Zhou twins - Lin and Zing - had grown closer together. None of Klaus’s friends knew how the spearman in their group became entangled with the two deadly twins, who, over the years, had grown even more talented at manipulating the Earth Element.
But they were happy for him regardless.
Danny and Yasmi had also come a long way. Danny, being a true Titan and the former Leader of the Titan Race, had made sure he proved himself at every turn. He was the right man for her.
Yasmi always keeps him in check...
As for Kay, the Archer, he and Linda, the Healer and one of the most experienced Water Mages back on Earth, had also come a long way, even planning to marry soon.
Then there was Miguel, who started out as Klaus’s enemy but soon became one of his trusted allies, eventually becoming a close friend.
He wanted to surpass Klaus, but it quickly became clear he could only dream of it. After accepting reality, he started to grow as both a person and a deadly Lightning Barbarian.
Surprisingly, during the planet’s awakening, after he saved Sura, Queenie’s beast companion, they started spending more time together. While they hadn’t become an item yet, it wouldn’t be too shocking if they did.
Queenie had long released Sura and allowed her to roam the universe with Klaus’s friends, so if she found someone she liked, Queenie could only be happy for her.
As for Jason, who, during the Renegade Era, had come close to killing Klaus multiple times, he had also become close to Klaus’s friends, and now he had formed remarkable synergy with them when it came to battle.
Aside from that, he and Grand Elder Ylthia were now an item. His relationship was the most shocking since it was with someone whom every last person on Earth had initially feared.
When the Moon Race came to Earth, everyone witnessed the kind of power the Seven Grand Elders commanded. So, having someone like Grand Elder Ylthia as his girlfriend was simply shocking.
But Jason had seen firsthand what the woman could do, and as someone who loved battles, he fell for her. After the planet’s awakening, he made her aware of his feelings. To his shock, she shared them.
Today, Klaus planned to bring them back to his side, raise their cultivation bases to the Supreme Stage, and then travel with them to the Ancient Battlefield.
So, the moment he returned to Planet Caelmir, he reached out to them.
Seated inside the Royal Garden, Klaus looked at Asmodeus and smiled. "Looks like it won’t be long until you have yourself another powerful subordinate."
Asmodeus smiled, nodding at Klaus’s words. "It is all thanks to your generosity. If you hadn’t used the favor that Primordial Lady owed you to ask for that bastard’s life, I wouldn’t have his body now."
Klaus could have used that favor to request the head of the Primordial from the Heavens Court. However, he knew that would have failed, since even if the Primordial was cornered, escaping wouldn’t have been a problem.
Against a Pseudo-Primordial, however, she was more than capable of killing him with a mere flick of her hand.
"Good luck making good use of the body then," Klaus laughed.
"Oh, I plan to. After all, even though I can’t create another Primordial, I can create a Pseudo-Primordial that is ten times stronger than most Pseudo-Primordials."
"I look forward to seeing great things, Asmodeus. We will be going to the Ancient Battlefield soon, so hurry. If you need anything, feel free to ask."
"I will, Master," he said, waving his hand. The gateway to his Undead Domain, which he had named the Vile and Evil Paradise, opened.
"Inform me when it is time to leave."
Klaus nodded, and soon he was alone inside the garden. Taking a deep breath, he commanded Icon to summon his friends over since he had already informed them that he would be summoning them today.
Soon, they all appeared inside the garden, each radiating an Immortal Aura.
"KLAUS!"
Danny shouted, jumping into Klaus’s arms—or at least he tried, only to land face-first on the ground, causing everyone to laugh. Danny was enthusiastic about everything, so Klaus had already anticipated this move and prepared for it.
"It’s been a few years, Klaus. Haven’t you missed me?" Danny said, standing back up.
Klaus smirked and replied, "I miss you, but you already know the rules..."
"...Yeah, yeah, you only hug ladies."
"Good thing you remember, so no hard feelings, I guess."
Danny laughed and went for a handshake, which Klaus accepted. Then, the next second, he pulled Klaus into a hug, causing everyone present to laugh again.
"Klaus, it is good to see you again," Danny said, taking the win even if it was won under false pretenses.
Klaus just smiled and shook his head. After breaking off the hug, he turned to the rest of his friends. All of them, including their girlfriends, with the exception of Kilian, had become Immortal Monarchs.
Kilian was now an Immortal King, but Klaus needed just one glance to know he was deadlier than everyone else. His black jagged sword was now strapped to his back, oozing a power that would scare even gods.
’Just what had gone into crafting the Sword of Damnation?’ Klaus wondered inwardly, his brow furrowed at how much killing intent was emanating from the sword on Kilian’s back.
’More importantly, what is the relationship between the Sword of Damnation and All-Black, the Necrosword Gorr wields?’ This was a question he planned to find the answer to soon.
"Welcome, everyone. It’s been a while," Klaus said, addressing his friends and their girlfriends. They nodded at his words, happy that he had finally reached out.
Over the last couple of months, they hadn’t had a moment of rest, moving from one place to another, hoping to grow stronger so that when they met him, they wouldn’t be too far behind.
Now that they stood before him, each radiating a powerful aura, they seemed content with their progress. But Klaus’s next words made them ecstatic.
"I know you all want to become stronger—so strong that protecting your loved ones wouldn’t be an issue. I called you here because, after today, you all will become powerful Supremes with powerful bloodlines."
They widened their eyes, but Klaus wasn’t done.
"Aside from that, I will also bestow upon you powerful legacies that have never existed in this universe. I hope you all are prepared to become the best versions of yourselves."
They looked at him with shocked expressions for a few seconds before nodding, telling him they are more than ready to become existences that can topple battlefields and send chills running down the spines of their enemies.
