The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1520: The Mad Hunter (2)

[Demon Universe - Planet Blood Star - Red Castle]
Planet Blood Star was the homeworld of the Blood Demon Race. Their elites lived there, including their leader, Supreme King Alastor. He was a powerful king and a terrifying warrior.
Even Celestials showed respect before him simply because of his overwhelmingly powerful nature and invincible battle prowess.
Alastor inherited the throne 4 million years ago, and since then, he has elevated the name and power of the Blood Demon Race by leaps and bounds.
First, he pulled the Blood Demon Race out of the Demon Faction and joined the Neutral Faction, making sure neither the Heavens Court nor the Demon Court could control them.
One might think that a single race leaving an entire alliance of demons would trigger a backlash powerful enough to swallow them whole. However, the opposite happened.
Out of the 64 demon states in the Demon Universe, 12 joined the Blood Demon Race after they left the Demon Court.
This action triggered a battle. However, single-handedly, Alastor proved to the entire Demon Faction that he could wipe them out if they dared lay their filthy hands on his people.
While it would have brought his destruction and the destruction of the entire Blood Demon Race, his massacre would have given the Heavenly Faction the opportunity to finally eradicate the entire Demon Race.
So, they reached an agreement, and since then, the Blood Demon Race has remained in the Demon Universe as a separate entity with 12 vassal races.
Alastor had seven children, four males and three females.
The youngest and most talented among them was Hunter, now surrounded on all sides by enemies ready to kill him simply because he chose to protect and father the last Paragon.
His talent was the greatest the Blood Demon Race had ever seen. He was being groomed to replace his father as king when he came of age. Many even claimed he was destined to finally elevate the image of the entire Demon Race.
However, one egg and the decision to keep it had turned him into the most wanted fugitive and enemy of the Heavens Court.
At that moment, a red-haired man with handsome features, an athletic build, and an aura of royalty sat on a red jade throne forged from the rarest Blood Jade, said to have existed only during the Blood Era.
This man was Alastor, the strongest Supreme in the Demon Universe.
Below him stood a 6’5" man with red hair as well. He possessed an athletic build and perfectly sharp cheekbones that accentuated his handsomeness.
His hair flowed down his back, with two braids hanging on both sides of his face and touching his shoulders. His name was Azai, a Celestial and the fourth-born son of King Alastor.
Despite Azai being a realm higher than his father, the look of respect on his face was unmistakable as he looked at his old man.
"Azai, you do realize that what you are asking of me is impossible, right? If you were to aid your brother, the neutrality we have hidden behind would break, and our people would be plunged into unwanted chaos.
"Already, that bastard is eyeing our people, looking for a way to pull us under his wings. This is too dangerous."
"I know, Father, which is why I plan on leaving the Blood Demon Race and becoming a mercenary."
King Alastor furrowed his brow, realization dawning on him.
"You really came prepared, huh?"
Azai smiled.
"Indeed, Father. Hunter is the best of us. His destiny is much bigger than all of us combined. If we turn our backs on him in this time of need, I am afraid we will regret it. He may be the enemy of the Heavens Court, but in my eyes, he is still my baby brother. As the big brother, I must protect him at all costs."
Azai paused, and in his head, a projected image of a scene where a man clad in red armor stood atop a mountain, with thousands of swords suspended in the air behind him.
The man was Hunter as a Celestial, and every sword behind him was a Celestial weapon. Below him lay billions of bodies, their blood flowing like a river.
Aside from being a skilled spearman, Azai also possessed a Clairvoyance ability. He hid it from everyone except Hunter.
In fact, what many didn’t know was that the reason Hunter went to the place where he met the Angel of Death was that Azai had guided him there.
He had seen glimpses of the future and countless possibilities. In one of those futures, he saw Hunter standing side by side with the Paragon, their expressions calm as they gazed down upon hordes of beings, some powerful enough to shatter entire planets with a mere wave of their hands.
This future made him realize one thing.
Hunter, his baby brother, was destined to become the father of the Paragon of Nine Stars, and as beings whose ancestors were of the Asura Race, they were obligated to protect the Paragon and his allies at all costs.
So, he worked behind the scenes to ensure that this future would come to pass.
King Alastor sighed and nodded.
"Fine. Make sure you never return to this place, or else I will personally hand you over to the Heavens Court."
Azai nodded and smiled.
"Rest assured, Father. Unless you hire me as a mercenary, I would never step foot in this godforsaken place."
Azai bowed and vanished into thin air.
Alastor smirked.
"Tsk. Do you think I wouldn’t know it was you who pushed Hunter to go to that place?"
He shook his head and turned to his left, where a door opened, and a redheaded woman walked out, a smile playing on her face.
"Azai had always loved his brother more than even himself," the woman, Queen Renna, said as she sat on a throne not far from King Alastor.
"I just hope he and his brother don’t start another bloodbath like what they did on Planet Quak years ago."
King Alastor smiled and looked at the screen where Hunter could be seen seated on one of his swords, a relaxed expression plastered on his face as thousands of demigods and several gods surrounded him.
As he watched how calmly Hunter sat there, a bad feeling filled King Alastor’s heart.
"Very sad, really. Here we are under assault from foreign races, with thousands dying every day, yet the Heavens Court still has the manpower to send these people to their deaths."
He sighed and leaned against the armrest of his throne.
"After today, they will finally become aware of something very critical. In this universe, the only person qualified to be the father of a Paragon... is my son, Hunter."

Hunter sat there while Uncle Ziggy, Xian, Jojo, Mark, and James stood beside him. Lady Elysia sat on a throne formed from over a hundred swords, each possessing the power of a Demigod.
Around them, over a thousand Demigods had drawn their weapons, their gazes locked on the seven people who, 20,000 years ago, had killed over 100,000 warriors from the Heavens Court merely to protect an egg.
"You have been surrounded on all sides, Hunter. There is nowhere to run." A god clad in green armor bearing the crest of the 25th Heavens Army spoke, his hand pointed at Hunter.
"Better surrender and let this end peacefully. Resist, and you will not live past today."
Hunter smiled and slowly lifted his head before speaking.
"Ah, well, I never knew that in the 20,000 years I had been away, the Heavens Court and the Celestial Supreme had become even dumber."
Lady Elysia covered her mouth, pretending she wasn’t laughing.
The five Blood Guards burst into uncontrollable laughter.
