The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1501: Leaving The Jade Nest
Previously on The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse...
Within the vast expanse of the human universe, alongside the supreme Human Emperor who governs all 64 galaxies, numerous other monarchs preside over their own galactic domains.
Among these rulers is the revered Jade Queen, sovereign of the Milky Way Galaxy. In bygone eras, her remarkable similarity to the Jade Ant Queen led many to ponder if they were, in fact, twins.
However, as she is human, such conjectures ultimately proved unfounded.
Across the universe, she is recognized as one of the top ten mages, having attained mastery over the Ice Law and charted a course upon the much-coveted Jade Ice Path.
Her formidable combat prowess is matched only by the Celestials, beings so powerful they serve as her personal guard. The Milky Way Galaxy, comprising 128 star systems in total, is each under the protection of a Celestial known as an Elder Celestial.
One such guardian is the Green Emerald Elder, tasked with the defense of the Black Mint Star System. Coincidentally, the very gateway to the Jade Nest resides within this system. Upon receiving word to ensure the safety of the 7th Jade Princess, the beloved daughter of the Jade Queen, he acted without delay.
In reality, the Jade Queen's command was prompted by intelligence regarding the Burning Angel. Following contact from Lord Victor, he had directly informed the Jade Queen of the imminent peril.
Upon learning that her daughter had also ventured into this dangerous area, the Queen, realizing the potential threat, dispatched the Green Emerald Elder.
Consequently, his presence should not have been a surprise to anyone aware of the identity of the beautiful princess who entered the Jade Nest three months prior.
The moment he materialized, several deities offered their respects.
"Welcome, Lord Emerald."
Disregarding the others, he turned his attention to Lord Victor. "Your designation is Victor, is it not?"
Lord Victor inclined his head, his demeanor unruffled. As a disciple of the Burning Angel, he had previously encountered presences far more awe-inspiring than this Celestial.
In his estimation, this man was akin to a demigod. The Burning Angel could obliterate him effortlessly, without him ever realizing the threat.
"I have received orders to escort you and your retinue to the Jade Palace. Once the young ones return from the nest, you shall depart with me."
Lord Victor gave another nod of assent.
The assembled gods and demigods regarded this exchange with astonishment, some perplexed as to why a being as seemingly insignificant as Lord Victor warranted direct address from a Celestial while they themselves were overlooked.
Naturally, certain demigods ensured their unspoken grievances did not reach Lord Victor. The majority had witnessed his past battles, recognizing that even as demigods, they stood no chance against him.
He possessed the ability to dispatch them with ease, despite being a tier below them in cultivation. Such was the might of a system ruler.
Though considered the most junior Star-Lord in the Milky Way Galaxy, his formidable reputation deterred any who might consider crossing him. His renown preceded him.
Just as discontented whispers began to intensify, the first individual emerged from the jade gateway, exhaling a breath of palpable relief.
Subsequently, a steady stream of people began to appear.
The hired operatives, whose mission was to ensure no one escaped alive, found themselves contemplating a desperate, high-risk attempt to eliminate the newcomers, despite the daunting presence of a Celestial.
Ultimately, they opted against it, deeming the endeavor far too perilous and conspicuous. They resolved to let the Heavens Court manage its own affairs, acknowledging their efforts had proven futile.
Meanwhile, within the Jade Nest, Klaus and his contingent, alongside Princess Evren and her group, stood poised before a shimmering portal, their backs to the egress.
In the distance, a colossal portal had fractured into existence, through which the four beast gods were now herding all the inhabitants of the Jade Nest.
Above, fissures began to spiderweb across the sky. The nest itself was on the verge of collapse, threatening to leave any remaining beasts vulnerable to opportunistic predators.
The artifact Klaus had bestowed upon them had successfully conjured the portal, opening a path to the sanctuary he had pledged. In truth, this was merely a ploy to conceal his ultimate objective from the princess.
He harbored insufficient trust in her to disclose such a critical resource.
In actuality, the artifact merely facilitated entry into his [Multi-Dimensional Cube]. This very item had been instrumental in the development of his Beast Legion back on Earth. Now, its advanced capabilities compelled him to establish a dedicated world for his beasts within it.
There, they would find safety and, more importantly, abundant resources for training and evolution, allowing them to reach their full potential.
Icon had apprantly informed him that the secondary seal on the Multi-Dimensional Disc had been disengaged, unleashing a multitude of latent functionalities. He intended to explore these further at a later time.
For the present moment, he simply observed. After approximately 80% of the calamity beasts had passed through the portal, he gave a nod to Lady Beyhos, whom he had appointed as the interim sovereign of all calamity beasts. He would address them directly and finalize arrangements subsequently.
"Let us proceed," Klaus announced, his companions echoing his sentiment with nods.
Casting one final glance at the remaining calamity beasts, they stepped through the portal, emerging safely on the other side mere moments later.
The moment they materialized, numerous gazes fixed upon them, a mix of cordiality and outright hostility in their intensity. Yet, amidst all the locked-on auras, one presence distinctly stood out.
Raising his head, Klaus’s eyes found those of a green-haired individual adorned in futuristic black and green armor. A sword was suspended behind him, encircled by a halo-like diagram of seven distinct nodes, each ring featuring a unique design and hue.
For an instant, Klaus felt a cold sweat break out across his back. However, the man offered a nod, which managed to ease Klaus's apprehension.
Just as Klaus prepared to ascend towards Lord Victor, several human warriors who had been present within the nest moved towards him. To the astonishment of all onlookers, they collectively bowed low.
"Thank you for our salvation, Renegade Hunter."
"Should you require any assistance in the future, do not hesitate to ask."
Klaus paused, surveying their faces, before giving a slight nod. "There is no need for thanks. My sole objective was to acquire the Jade Ant Queen, and it was for her that I battled. Regrettably, I failed."
A few of them let out sighs, while others became visibly curious.
"Renegade Hunter, was that individual truly the Paragon?"
Before Klaus could respond, a deep voice boomed from the rear. "What did you just utter?" inquired a Universal God, his face reddening. He might have been enraged, or perhaps he sensed an impending misfortune.
Having been dispatched with the mandate to ensure Klaus and the others perished, the arrival and departure of the Paragon left him deeply unsettled.
One of the immortals who had meticulously documented the moment the Paragon revealed his identity spoke up.
"The Paragon made an appearance within the nest and absconded with the reincarnated form of the Jade Ant Queen."
A collective gasp echoed through the assembled crowd, with some already fumbling for their communication devices. Those tasked with ensuring no one escaped alive were the very first to contact their employers.
Unfortunately for them, numerous individuals began uploading video evidence of the events that transpired within the Jade Nest.
Klaus offered an internal smile, his expression serene as he surveyed his surroundings.
The very outcome the Heavens Court had dreaded had materialized, and the universe would soon be apprised of their transgressions.
Observing some individuals in a state of panic while others processed the just-unveiled revelations, he realized his initial plan might have unfolded more favorably than he had dared to anticipate.
’I appreciate it when plans converge perfectly in the end,’
They soon ascended towards Lord Victor, who was already engrossed in reviewing content uploaded by various individuals to the Uniweb.
"Welcome back, everyone," he greeted them as Klaus and his team drew near.
"Lord Victor, it would be prudent for us to depart from this location at the earliest opportunity. I have reason to believe circumstances will soon devolve into chaos, and I am not in a condition to engage in further combat."
Upon hearing Klaus's words, Lord Victor's countenance grew grave. He turned to regard the Celestial figure hovering in the air. Following a brief inspection, he redirected his attention back to Klaus. "We have received a summons to the Jade Palace, thus we shall be departing under the escort of this senior,"
Klaus's brow furrowed; however, Lord Victor's subsequent statement provided reassurance.
"I have been in contact with my Master, and he orchestrated our presence here. That location is also conveniently nearer to the academy, allowing you easy access for recuperation and attendance."
Klaus nodded and promptly flew towards the Celestial. Mere seconds after their departure, Princess Evren and her retinue arrived. Following them was a veiled goddess whose face remained obscured.
Klaus immediately detected her penetrating gaze. Consequently, he instructed Icon to maintain combat readiness. Theact of shattering his Immortal Rings and expending his bloodline had exacted a significant toll, leaving him uncertain of his solitary ability to prevent her from delving into his secrets.
"Renegade Hunter, it appears our journeys will coincide," Princess Evren remarked just as they reached the Celestial's proximity.
"So it would seem," Klaus responded with a smile, contrasting with Princess Evren's composed demeanor. Perhaps seeking to diffuse the tension, he added casually, "This might even afford you an opportunity to repay me for saving your life; perhaps preparing a bowl of pasta would suffice."
The green-haired Celestial narrowed his eyes, but sensing Princess Evren's watchful presence, he remained silent.
With a wave of his hand, a green-hued SSS-Class vessel materialized. Soon, all occupants were aboard, and their departure for the Jade Palace commenced. The journey was projected to take five hours.
