Klaus and his team infiltrated the Jade Ant Nest to retrieve Immortal Essence water and potentially rescue the baby Jade Ant Queen. Klaus offered the Queen Mantis a chance to contract with Asha, promising to free her from the Heavens Court. The Queen revealed the Nest was corrupted by strange beasts and awakened Heaven Warriors, now stronger and not suppressed by the seal. She provided Klaus with a map of the Nest and mentioned a secret in the Jade Vault's hidden 7th layer.

Rory and her allies found themselves trapped in a corner, a desperate situation indeed.

When the monstrous Spider unleashed its terrifying domain, they had at least anticipated a brief window to devise an escape. However, within a mere ten seconds of its onslaught, the grim reality of overwhelming danger became all too clear.

Echo was compelled to set aside her search for an exit and dedicate all her focus to preserving her teammates' lives.

Slate and Omen, naturally, were her paramount concern. They bore the brunt of the risk, having to engage the spider at closer quarters to launch their attacks.

Omen wielded his sword with exceptional skill, a talent mirrored by Slate's mastery of his spear. They were among the most proficient warriors of the Stella Human race, having honed their abilities under the tutelage of Lord Victor.

They could easily be ranked within the top ten combatants of the entire Stella human army. Therefore, despite the immense peril, they were performing admirably, managing to keep the colossal beast occupied long enough for Rory to land her critical strikes.

It was, to put it mildly, like walking a tightrope over a razor's edge.

Rory's aim was unerring, never missing a shot. Yet, even with her precision, she had not yet managed to bring the grotesque spider down. She had succeeded in blinding nearly all of its eyes, but the creature persisted, its attacks now delivered with even greater ferocity.

Rory created distance and unleashed another arrow.

Behind her, seven rope-like appendages unfurled, transforming into as many pointed, living alien tendrils that lashed through the air. The instant the arrow found its mark in an already blinded eye, the tendrils latched onto seven of the spider's legs, exerting force to spread them wide apart.

This maneuver caused the spider to list heavily to one side, exposing its dark underbelly.

Omen, appearing nearby, unleashed a formidable strike, projecting a condensed sword forged from sword aura and Immortal energy.

The blow landed true, leaving a thin gash across its belly. However, the wound healed within a second, and the spider retaliated, spitting a viscous, crimson web.

Slate darted past Omen, his weapon slicing through the sticky strands. In the subsequent moment, they found themselves propelled hundreds of meters away from the spider.

Echo chanted softly, and from the heavens above, crystalline shards of ice began to rain down upon the unfortunate monstrosity.

Seizing the opportune moment, Slate activated a potent skill, manifesting a colossal spear fashioned entirely from ice. He slammed his foot onto the ground and drove the mystical weapon downward towards the spider.

Descending from the sky, the gargantuan spear seemed to embody a divine judgment.

The spider hoisted one of its legs, intending to intercept the plummeting spear. However, Rory harbored alternate intentions, plans which, if executed flawlessly, would secure their initial victory and pave the way for their ultimate triumph.

"Prepare yourself, Omen," Rory commanded, leaping into the air as a formidable silver arrow, etched with glowing golden runes, materialized within her bow.

In a confrontation against a lesser foe, she would have infused the arrow with power from her immortal rings. Against calamity beasts, however, such rings proved utterly ineffectual.

Even so, she had bolstered her bow, enhancing its structural integrity.

Furthermore, having advanced to the Stella Angelic Human race, she had awakened latent abilities passed down through her lineage, which amplified her raw power. Thus, the arrow now poised in her bow was anything but ordinary.

"Echo, seal the space surrounding the spider immediately!"

Responding to Rory's directive, Echo spun gracefully in the air, her staff inscribing a perfect circle. The space around the spider became sealed, confining it within a discrete area.

The colossal ice spear was mere moments from impact. Nevertheless, upon perceiving the spatial lockdown, the spider attempted to shatter the barrier. This diversionary tactic caused the spear to strike its carapace, producing a resounding clang.

This critical juncture, however, was precisely what Rory had anticipated.

"Omen, now!"

The swordsman sprang into action, and behind him, thousands of swords materialized in the ethereal plane. They swirled and coalesced, ultimately forming a singular, immense blade.

With a subtle gesture, the titanic sword surged forward, plunging into one of the spider's blinded ocular cavities.

Concurrently, Rory released her arrow. Instead of following Omen's trajectory, her projectile unerringly found the spider's underbelly once more. This time, however, it penetrated the vulnerable joints, embedding itself deep within the creature's bone and chitinous armor.

"Yes!"

The bow dematerialized from her grasp, and she swiftly formed a hand seal. Beneath the spider, the embedded arrow began to glow, morphing into the shape of a lotus flower. With an explosive implosion, it detonated, violently propelling the spider backward.

A substantial portion of its abdomen was obliterated, revealing metallic skeletal fragments that rained onto the ground. Crimson ichor seeped from the gaping wound, staining the earth. The potent acidic nature of its fluids caused the ground to hiss, boil, and melt.

Echo, her reserves of Space Essence rapidly depleting, had already relinquished the spatial seal.

"Echo, use your ice magic to blanket the ground; I'm going in!"

Slightly disoriented and fatigued from her extensive use of spatial energy, Echo faltered momentarily at Rory's command. Nevertheless, her hands moved in a blur, and the entire three-kilometer area was soon covered in a slick layer of ice.

Rory landed gracefully, her momentum briefly arrested by the icy surface. The seven rope-like tendrils retracted and hovered behind her like ethereal appendages. Extending both her hands, razor-sharp, crescent-shaped blades materialized, and she vanished, her speed becoming a blur.

In mere moments, she was positioned directly beneath the spider, her form rotating like a furious vortex.

Thin arcs of blades materialized, severing the already wounded belly of the monstrous spider.

"Since when did the princess master close-quarters combat?" Omen exclaimed, his voice laced with disbelief as he watched Rory expertly pivot from one colossal leg to another, artfully dodging a barrage of stabbing assaults.

"I suppose there's a first time for everything," he mused, then lunged forward, adding his might to the fray. Slate, mirroring his companion, also brandished his spear and plunged into the chaotic melee.

Echo, meanwhile, commenced unleashing ice magic, aiming to impede their formidable opponent's movements.

In essence, the battle unfolded largely as anticipated. The spider was successfully contained, and with Rory's exceptional close combat prowess, victory seemed within reach, approaching the climax of their intense engagement.

Abruptly, however, a subtle shift occurred. Rory was the first to perceive it – a slight surge in her own strength.

Echo noticed it next. Soon, the sensation became apparent to all of them.

Yet, caught in the heat of combat, none paused to investigate. Had they done so, they might have discerned that this unexpected boon originated from an unseen benefactor, someone contentedly observing their fierce duel with the spider from the leafy canopy of a nearby tree.

Upon his expulsion from the astral plane, Klaus materialized directly beneath this very tree. Coincidentally, at the precise moment of his arrival, Rory and her three companions were deeply embroiled in a desperate battle.

He entertained the thought of intervening but ultimately decided to gauge Rory's current capabilities. Having previously bestowed his blood upon her, enhancing her power significantly, he was eager to witness the extent of her newfound limits.

Thus, he ascended the tree, opting for a vantage point of quiet observation.

Before long, the sheer scale of Rory's increased power became evident. After observing her for approximately ten minutes, Klaus confidently concluded that she had surpassed her previous limitations, entering an entirely new echelon of formidable ability.

Transitioning from her Archer class to embrace a new designation, the [Lunar War Maiden], she performed with remarkable excellence. Despite this, Klaus still identified several areas where their coordinated attacks lacked optimal synergy.

He resolved to address these tactical deficiencies later; for the present moment, he opted to provide them with a crucial boost. Utilizing his 'Icon' ability, he forged a party among them and, channeling the potent energy of one of his immortal rings, began to amplify their powers.

Their awareness of this influx of power was swift, and guided by this augmented strength, they soon managed to vanquish the formidable Demon Spider.
