The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1463: The 7th Jade Princess

Klaus along with the others swiveled their gazes toward a gleaming silver SSS-class spaceship.
That was the source of the voice.
As numerous people began questioning the speaker's identity, the entrance slid open, revealing a stunning golden-haired woman dressed in a delicate cotton-laced gown, which drew gasps from the onlookers.
Behind Klaus, Slate whispered the key phrase to initiate a swift data scan.
"7th Jade Princess"
Klaus maintained a stoic face even as the golden-haired beauty approached him with confident strides. Undeniably gorgeous, yet Klaus had encountered countless stunning women across his extended lifespan, leaving him utterly unmoved.
As she passed, crowds bowed deeply, including some demigods, despite her being only an Immortal Lord.
Silently, Klaus had already instructed Icon to pull up her details.
Outwardly, he held his composed stare on her. Rory, positioned next to him, shifted slightly, partially concealing herself behind his frame, obviously cautious of the approaching woman.
[The 7th Jade Princess. One of the princesses from the Human Universe.]
’Oh, so she’s actually royalty, not just a flattering title for her looks,’
[Far more than a nickname. She truly holds royal status, among the numerous princesses at the Jade Temple. Every princess in the Human Universe trains there, learning the essence of royalty and future leadership for the Human Universe.]
’So, should I be bowing to her or what?’
[Precisely what’s expected from the master, yes.]
’Lucky for me, I’m not like the rest.’ Klaus smirked internally and posed another query. But prior to Icon’s response, the surrounding reality began warping.
Abruptly, a fissure appeared, unleashing a brilliant beam of light that struck both his eyes. Instantly, Klaus sensed his mind being pried open for everyone to inspect.
Yet he shut his eyes tight, refusing to seal the rift; instead, he rallied his mental defenses and fixed his gaze back on the golden-haired woman.
"How adorable. They say the loveliest ones pack the biggest surprises."
The golden-haired lady halted four meters away from Klaus, visibly taken aback though she masked it well. Inside, she puzzled over her failure.
Moments ago, she had unleashed a mental assault to breach Klaus’s barriers, ensuring he would bow upon her nearness. But it crashed against an impenetrable fortress, one her full array of immortal rings couldn’t even scratch.
This left her both admiring and increasingly cautious of the white-haired youth known far and wide as the renegade hunter.
Klaus cocked his head and inquired, "Is there something I can assist you with, Your Highness?"
Numerous faces creased in disapproval at Klaus’s unyielding posture. Some took offense, having anticipated his obeisance to their princess. Disrespecting the worthy is a severe taboo, and Klaus had just committed the gravest.
Still, no one dared voice their grievances, especially since the Princess appeared tolerant of Klaus—at least superficially.
She remained astonished by his effortless block of her mental strike, yet she flashed a captivating smile that lit up the surroundings.
"I do require something from you, if that’s alright,"
"I’m listening, Princess."
With a nod, she advanced closer.
Once near, she glanced at Rory, who looked away deliberately, ignoring her. Omen, Slate, and Echo, though, offered respectful bows.
Unlike Rory, who could claim princess status herself, they were simple fighters; crossing a Princess far exceeded their station.
The Jade Princess stayed silent and simply produced a map fragment. Klaus instantly recognized it, owning an identical piece himself.
"I’d like us to match our maps and piece together a fuller layout."
"Certainly." Without hesitation, Klaus pulled out his own map fragment and aligned it with hers.
Both scrutinized the maps closely.
<Second Map Fragment of the Jade Ant Queen Nest Acquired>
The Jade Princess took a moment to commit Klaus’s map to memory. Klaus needed no such effort, as Icon was already constructing the full version.
He intended to collect all 14 fragments for the complete map, so sharing his—despite the risk of clashing with her group over treasures—didn’t faze him.
Deep down, Klaus held a massive edge over others: prior entry into the Jade Nest. Though he hadn’t explored fully, he’d glimpsed enough to navigate once inside.
Thus, gaining an extra map fragment proved a huge windfall.
Once done examining the maps, they stowed them. Then the Jade Princess offered Klaus a golden card.
"I’m unsure about dangers lurking within the Nest. Still, stay cautious inside, and should you emerge safely, contact me via this ID. There are some matters I’d like to chat about with you, if that’s alright."
Klaus took the golden card, checked her ID on it, then slipped it into his space ring and gave a nod.
"Don’t worry, I’ll get in touch once I’m out," he said, pausing before adding mysteriously, "It’ll be great to chat properly with you later as well, Princess."
With a nod, she vanished via teleportation.
Klaus grinned and faced Rory. "Seems we won’t need to fret much over our next destination."
Rory’s eyes went wide. "Really?"
Klaus affirmed with a nod. "The Jade Princess has given me coordinates. We’ll make for that spot right after entering." He scanned the surroundings, noting the stares directed his way.
At first, the crowd had been furious over his refusal to bow to the Jade Princess, yet some realized he was akin to a prince from an immensely powerful ancient lineage.
A man of his stature deserved to hold onto his pride.
Yet now, the envious crowd and her admirers yearned to seize the golden card bestowed upon him by the Jade Princess. Many were smitten with her beauty and had repeatedly sought ways to reach her, only to be rebuffed every time.
Her contact info had been freely given to Klaus without any request from him. To numerous onlookers, this appeared as a slight.
Though Klaus bore no blame as just the receiver, with the Princess beyond reproach, targeting him became the natural outlet.
Their glares failed to faze Klaus. Deep down, excitement brewed within him for the plunge into the Jade Nest.
Elsewhere, the Jade Princess materialized in her spaceship and took a seat. Nearby, four women sat with gazes full of awe fixed upon her.
Separated from the group, a veiled woman remained seated cross-legged. After observing the Princess briefly, she inquired, "What’s your verdict, Princess? Does he qualify as a suitable prospect?"
She pondered silently for moments before replying, "One final trial awaits him, but so far, he appears promising."
A smile hid behind the veiled woman’s cover. "I understand."
