The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1446: Goddess Nivara

As he made his way back home, the very first figure he encountered was his grandmother, encircled by his wives. Whenever the affliction triggered by the loss of her god core struck, she would completely fade from the memories of everyone around.
This condition usually persisted for only a few hours. Occasionally, however, days would drag on before she reappeared.
No one spotted it at the beginning. But after a handful of occurrences, realization set in. Nowadays, it appears they all understand, so they flock to her side with solace whenever she comes back.
Klaus had journeyed to this world chiefly to reunite with his grandmother. Yet, his utter forgetfulness of her upon arrival left him questioning the heavens' newest ploy.
He was already aware that the Death Demon King had ripped out her god core by force, right after her own offspring turned traitor against her.
That said, based on Klaus's knowledge, no such illness should even exist—unless a curse was involved as well.
The devotion from her followers ought to have sustained her for millions of years at least. Yet, intelligence revealed the betrayal occurred merely 300,000 years ago.
Such a brief span is far too little for the affliction to begin tormenting her.
"Can I have a drop of your blood essence, Grandma?" Klaus asked, grasping his grandmother’s hand tightly. He despised himself for blanking out on someone so crucial.
A self-proclaimed foe of the heavens, he loathed how their machinations ensnared him too. He even viewed himself as transcending the heavens entirely.
Should he pinpoint the reason for their assault on his grandmother, perhaps a remedy could surface. His mind brimmed with a universe of secrets amassed by the heavens across the endless void.
Powerless he was not, at minimum.
Goddess Nivara nodded, extracted a droplet of her blood, and offered it to Klaus.
Klaus accepted it, drew a goblet-shaped artifact from his soul sea, and positioned it on the floor. His eyes shut for several seconds as he dispatched a directive to Icon.
’Icon, no matter what unfolds, capture every physical, spiritual, and mental response, storing them across as many minds as required.’
[I will do as you said, Master.]
’Furthermore, if consciousness slips from me, unlock one of those three minds you sealed earlier.’
Back when he first forged the Heaven Defying Body, the torment was unbearable, forcing him to isolate it in three distinct minds.
To prevent blackout from any peril ahead, he required that agony now to anchor his awareness relentlessly.
Directive sent, he refocused on the goblet. He'd wielded this tool repeatedly to detect curses on others.
This version specifically verified curses and pinpointed their exact nature.
A heavy sigh escaped him before he deposited the blood essence into the goblet. The instant it met the base, a dread presence slammed into his soul.
His awareness tore free from his body, and prior to grasping the event, he materialized within the void.
Endless darkness enveloped all directions, devoid of any sight. Klaus rotated a few times, detecting nothing. He sighed, lips parting to speak, when a distant glow erupted and charged toward him swiftly.
Seconds passed before a gigantic head, stretching roughly 100 km, loomed before him, sending chills through his core. Panic evaded Klaus, though caution surged toward the monstrous skull.
His mind reeled at the thought of the entity's full size, given the head's enormity alone.
"You are finally here, Paragon," the head rumbled, its voice thundering across the void.
"Do I know you?" Klaus replied, eyes narrowing sharply. The title 'Paragon' always heralded trouble. Even allies irked him using it.
"Oh, you don’t remember me, huh?" A sly grin twisted across the massive face. "I suppose that is normal, considering you are still too weak to know more about me."
"I suppose you can say that, so why don’t you tell me who you are and why you had to go through all this trouble just to meet me?"
"Tsk, you sound a bit harsh, Paragon. Why, are you running against time?"
"Yes, and I also have people counting on me, so if you can make this snappy, I will be very much happy to finally be on my way."
"Hmm," the head exhaled deeply before unveiling its true form. "We have never met before simply because you are a spirit being while I am a cosmic being. That said, in your plane of existence, you call me Karma. Pleasure meeting you finally, Paragon."
Klaus's eyes bulged wide, yet silence held him. Five full minutes ticked by as he stood frozen, thoughts storming chaotically. Rumors had reached him of cosmic Heavenly laws amid existence's grand order.
Destiny and Fate's cosmic essence was no surprise to him. They seemed instrumental in reuniting him with past-life comrades across his myriad incarnations.
Karma joining their ranks, though? Unthinkable. He'd dismissed it as a heavenly marionette, unworthy of cosmic stature.
"So what do you want from me, Mr Puppet?"
"Mr Puppet?" A scowl marred the enormous face.
"What else should I call you when all my life you had, in one way or another, fucked me up? You acted like a puppet on a string, allowing the heavens to use you like a puppet.Honestly, now that I’m looking at your ugly face, I suppose you actually look like a real puppet. Very disgusting." Klaus harbored hatred for countless souls and entities.
Yet none rivaled his venom for the heavens, the Heavens Court, and Karma.
To Klaus, they inflicted his deepest scars. Bug-sized before Karma, his barbs remained unyielding.
True to form, Karma's visage twisted in fury. "Kid, you will do well to respect your elders."
"Elders, my foot. Do you even hear yourself? During my fourth incarnation, my mother, Haniva, and I had all the heads-up to escape our pursuers; however, I later learned it was your doing.
Because I was destined to be the Paragon again in that life, the stupid karma you kept piling on my name, even when I was long dead, a part of it was channeled to them, cementing their death in that life.
And it wasn’t just that life. I saw it happen several times, more than I could count. So if you think I will laugh with you and perhaps pat you on the back, then you must be the most idiotic cosmic being in existence.
That said, now that I know my grandma’s sickness was because of you, I have no reason to remain here for another second." Klaus clapped his palms sharply, widening Karma's eyes in alarm.
"Don’t do it—"
"I invoke the Absolute Law - Paragon Resurgence."
