The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse Chapter 1433: Introductions
Previously on The Last Paragon in the Apocalypse...
"Welcome once again to Planet Caelmir, Lord Paragon. I am Queen Leah, the current ruler of this planet and three other neighboring planets," Queen Leah announced, then she faced the redheaded woman who appeared no older than thirty.
"This is my mother, Supreme Elder Narcisa. She ruled as queen before me. Now that she has retired, she serves on the Supreme Elder Council to safeguard this planet for the future."
Klaus offered a courteous bow to the stunning redhead. She returned a smile and a nod.
Next, Queen Leah turned to the other Supreme Elder, who resembled her closely. The main distinction lay in their hair colors: Queen Leah's was silver, while hers was dark.
"This is Supreme Elder Idalie. She sits on the Elder Council and commands the Flying Valkyries as General."
Klaus nodded politely to the woman again, receiving a nod in reply. Queen Leah proceeded to present the rest of the group.
The two gods flanking her belonged to the planet’s defense force. Positioned beyond the planet, they formed the frontline against invasions that struck roughly every millennium.
Both were True Gods boasting millennia of combat expertise.
Even better, the pair were siblings.
She continued with the demigods. Two happened to be her offspring: the son named Steven, and the daughter Lista.
Lista, she claimed, stood as the finest archer on the planet. Hearing this, Klaus glanced at Rory, another skilled archer.
Uniweb records showed Rory ranking among the academy's top ten archers by immortal measures.
As a demigod, Lista held greater experience. Yet Rory's elite status across the whole academy suggested she might challenge Lista effectively.
For now, Klaus decided to shelve the thought. With his extended stay ahead, plenty of opportunities existed to explore further.
"Nice meeting you all," Klaus stated with a sincere smile. "Though I haven't unveiled my identity universe-wide yet, here I trust you completely. This was my home once, and with my return, expect frequent visits from me."
Pleased looks accompanied their nods.
"That said, I know you all have questions, and I am ready to answer them."
Queen Leah rose with a joyful grin. "Why not move to the dining hall? We've prepared a grand feast for your arrival."
"Even better. I am famished,"
Laughter filled the air as the group made their way to the dining hall. Klaus’s wives seized the moment to approach and embrace him briefly.
"Traitors, when I needed help, you all pretended you didn’t see me suffer." Their smiles faded instantly.
Queenie clung to Klaus’s left arm, resting her head on his shoulder. "No need to cry, dear. Once we reach the Celestial Stage, we will get revenge on him. We can’t just allow him to bully our dear husband."
"Queenie is right. We will get revenge later, when we are of the strength to survive an attack from a Celestial."
King Alric shook his head while observing Klaus and his wives.
Following Magnus's departure from Planet Caelmir, King Alric tormented himself relentlessly. After abdicating the throne, he repeatedly sought to locate and apologize to him, but every attempt failed.
This torment nearly shattered his sanity. Fortunately, in the century prior to Magnus's reincarnation, he appeared, granting forgiveness for past wrongs.
They then journeyed across the universe for several years, bonding as father and son ought to.
He had even proposed that Magnus reincarnate alongside him, yet with Planet Caelmir targeted by the Heavens Court, Magnus opted to remain and shield it.
In his 8th and 9th lives, duties in the Forbidden Universe kept them apart. Reunited at last, joy overwhelmed him, despite the youth and his wives plotting subtle payback someday.
Several of his wives had encircled Rory, probing her with questions. They understood Klaus only drew near to women he favored.
Since Rory clearly interested him, they aimed to gauge her feelings in return.
Midway through chatting with his wives, Klaus realized an absence. "Ladies, where is my uncle monk?"
Anna had brought back one of his uncle’s monks from the Ice World, yet the uncle himself remained absent upon his arrival.
"Uncle entered seclusion a few days ago to form his Law Core. He said he will be out in a few days’ time since he had already completed everything and only had to activate it."
Klaus nodded in understanding. "I will be spending a few weeks here anyway, so I will get to meet him."
Queen Leah, overhearing their exchange, smiled broadly at the news of his prolonged visit.
Her mother nudged her shoulder playfully. "Stop fangirling over him."
"Oh, please, as if this wasn’t your doing," Queen Leah laughed, amused by her mother’s denial.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
Queen Leah pivoted fully toward her mother. "You ruled Caelmir for 1.5 million years. Eighty percent of that time was spent chasing one piece of information after another about the Paragon. And when you finally stepped down, your entire life became a quest to uncover anything you could find about him.
I grew up learning all I knew about him from you, simply because you wouldn’t shut up about him. So if anyone is a fangirl, look in the mirror first, mother."
Lady Idalie chuckled nearby, recognizing the validity in both mother and daughter’s words. Each qualified as a fangirl, eager for Klaus’s presence to finally yield answers to their burning questions.
A Supreme and a God fixating on a mere Immortal marked an astonishing spectacle. The precise events of his final moments on Planet Caelmir stayed shrouded in mystery.
Certain accounts claimed that during the awakening, with his five wives and mother slain, Magnus lost control and eradicated every invader.
Others insisted the five women and his mother triggered a formation sacrificing themselves, boosting Magnus to annihilate the foes.
Various theories circulated widely. Yet without confirming the true motive for the five ladies’ sacrifice, historians avoided committing it to official records.
Queen Leah yearned to question Lunara and the others—reincarnations of those five: Lunara, Nebula, Sofia, Lulu, and Princess Eshira.
Ultimately, she held back, aware Klaus’s visit loomed, intending to seek answers directly from him.
Fangirl aside, with Klaus present, she anticipated delving deep into his saga of ruling the universe with unyielding dominance.
