Rory awakens from a three-week slumber to find herself in bed with Klaus, only to be confronted by a powerful Supreme named Ossana. Ossana reveals she was tasked by the Nameless Elder to track down and kill the reincarnated Paragon, regardless of his identity. As Rory desperately defends a still-sleeping Klaus and confesses her true feelings for him, Ossana moves to strike. However, Klaus suddenly awakens to intervene before Rory reacts with a swift punch that knocks him unconscious once more.

Careful to ensure she didn't graze Rory's forehead with her kiss, Ossana withdrew. She pulled Rory into a tight embrace, intentionally letting her hands linger upon her breasts.

Rory felt conflicted about the gesture. Being held so intimately by another woman was an unfamiliar sensation. However, given that her captor was a Supreme, she found herself completely unable to protest.

Naturally, the deceptive scheme orchestrated by Klaus to trick her into revealing her deepest feelings made her favor Ossana's company over that of the slumbering swindler.

Even though Ossana instigated the situation, the mere fact that Klaus had gone along with the charade filled her with resentment.

Unbeknownst to her, when Ossana arrived three days ago, Klaus had been wide awake. He had been expecting her, and the instant she materialized, he shook off his feigned sleep.

They had caught up in their habitual manner, after which Ossana proposed a wager. She curious as to how Rory would react if she were threatened with death.

Should Rory confess her affection, Klaus would owe her a favor; if she stood her ground with stubborn resolve, she would be the one to possess him. Plainly, Klaus knew defeat was inevitable, yet for the sake of ensuring Ossana’s amusement, he played along with the game.

In the end, he lost the bet and paid the penalty with a bruised, blackened eye.

Following an interval of resting in her arms, Rory eventually regained her composure and resolved to uncover the truth about Ossana. Having established that this woman did not intend to murder her boyfriend, she grew desperate to learn her mysterious identity.

"Who are you, really?"

Ossana giggled, leaning in close until her lips touched Rory’s ear, whispering, "Even if I were to inform you, your mind would fail to retain it. It involves the very foundation of reality, after all."

"Test me."

"Impossible. You might expire from the exertion before you could even grasp what I have to say."

"Pure nonsense. Though I may be nothing more than an Immortal Lord, I have existed for long enough to recognize when someone is peddling gibberish. Get on with it and reveal your purpose, or release me. His injury requires my attention."

"Oh, look at you, still concerned despite having landed a black eye upon him."

"That was purely accidental, and you are well aware of it. Now, are you going to explain who you are and what your connection to Klaus entails?"

Ossana chuckled. "Very well. My name is indeed Ossana, and I belong to the Genesis Legion, the very first legion to emerge in this universe. My designation is Number 69—purely because it seemed fitting."

She giggled once more, providing further context: "The Genesis Legion was the primordial force of the universe. We were brought into existence alongside creation itself and take orders from only one person: the Legendary Immortal Necromancer, Odith. Naturally, your mind will not hold onto this information, as we effectively do not exist."

Rory dipped her chin. "So, what exactly brings you here? Please, spare me any lewd suggestions."

"Whatever would lead you to believe I would say something of that nature?" A devious grin took hold of Ossana’s expression. "Naturally, I am here at the behest of my general. She has a message for him. Furthermore, I have my own personal motivations as well."

Rory remained silent for several minutes before a tired sigh escaped her. "You can release me now. I must tend to his black eye."

"Are you certain? The second I let you go, everything you have just heard will be scrubbed from your memory."

Rory nodded firmly. "Then I suppose it is only appropriate to offer thanks for divulging all of this, even if you are but the weakest member of the Genesis Legion."

Rory let out a light laugh and pulled away, breaking free from Ossana’s hold. She watched her retreat with a soft smile, yet moments later, a look of bewilderment creased her brow...

"How are you still remembering?"

"I am not entirely sure. Although, I suppose this confirms I am more than a simple individual. Regardless, there is no need to look so stunned; assist me in healing his eye before an infection sets in."

For the first time since her arrival, Ossana fell silent.

The words spoken by Rory contained secrets that even the Heavens Court failed to comprehend. According to the Big Bang Diaries, 69 warriors were birthed alongside the dawn of the universe, collectively known as the Genesis Legion, created primarily for the purpose of endless warfare.

The Doom Manual hinted at a grand, future conflict where their might would be required to preserve existence.

That event never came to pass because the Paragon—a figure the prophecies failed to account for—obliterated the Doom Universe long before they could strike.

He was also the one to unearth their existence and had maintained a connection with them for billions of years. Based on everything known of them, memories involving their nature were typically erased in under sixty seconds.

Thus, Rory holding onto her memories left her stunned.

However, since her priority was Klaus, she chose to shelve the mystery for now. She would handle her immediate tasks and address the anomaly later.

'This is completely illogical,' she mused, yet she couldn't stop pondering the strange phenomenon. She resolved to uncover the truth before she took her leave.

[Two weeks later]

"Ouch," Klaus groaned, his eyelids fluttering open with a wince. Despite Rory’s guilt over the punch, she had diligently treated the injury, yet the ache lingered.

Two full weeks had elapsed, but the pain remained sharp even now that he was conscious.

He hoisted himself upright, sitting on the edge of the bed while clutching his left eye with one hand.

He pried his other eye open, and upon looking down, noticed his trousers were disarrayed. He quickly adjusted himself before scans of the room began.

Within moments, his gaze locked onto Ossana and Rory, who offered him smiling faces from a plush chair nearby.

Rory bore an expression of contrite guilt. Although Klaus had attempted to prank her first, she felt that retaliating with a physical blow had been somewhat excessive.

"I intend to punish you for that," he teased, directing the words at the shy, remorseful Rory. Ossana had made certain she had no opportunity to cover up, leaving her still topless.

Klaus turned his gaze toward Ossana, who offered a wink and a radiant smile. "I take it you won our wager. What sort of recompense are you seeking?"

"Oh, behave. You have only just recovered consciousness, and already your thoughts turn to business. Where is the sense of fun in that?" She gripped Rory’s hand and pulled her toward the bed, reaching his side in the blink of an eye.

She reached toward his groin, but Klaus swat her hand away, prompting her to pout in disappointment.

"How incredibly heartless."

"I am not being heartless. I am merely eager to hear the message Odith sent you to deliver. Knowing that ancient crone, she would be absolutely incensed right now and would promptly banish me to a Calamity Zone, one I would likely struggle to survive without sustaining a million fresh scars."

"That would indeed be dreadful, and I can certainly envision such a fate. But who is truly to blame? Last time, she put in great effort to ensure you would have a quality night, but you fled before she could savor the moment."

A mischievous grin spread across her face. "Care to guess? She is absolutely livid with you. This is precisely why you should finally claim my virginity before she turns you into one of her undead servants. Honestly, I have zero desire to sleep with a corpse, even if that corpse happens to be you."
