Jian Anning initiated an intimate night with Yu Zexiao, surprising him with her passion. After their time together, Jian Anning quietly reflected on their relationship and her inability to have children. She decided to leave Yu Zexiao, believing it was for the best, and slipped away unnoticed in the night.

As the hour was late, the Yu Family residence remained undisturbed by any stir.

She gathered only a few essential personal belongings, slipping out the door with silent steps. Foregoing the garage entirely, her intention was to simply walk away from the villa complex.

Before her departure, a final glance was cast towards the house she had called home for five years. To claim no sentimentality would be disingenuous. However, a woman like herself, incapable of bearing children, what right did she possess to continue clinging to Yu Zexiao’s life?

Yet, what Jian Anning had not foreseen was that her escape had barely begun. Perhaps it was the sheer physical exhaustion from her earlier argument with Yu Zexiao, or maybe the recurring dizziness and malaise of the past few days finally took their toll. Mere steps from the threshold, she collapsed.

In her fall, her arm brushed against a porcelain vase, sending it crashing to the floor with a resounding 'smash' as consciousness fled her. The sudden noise alerted the entire Yu Family, who rushed out, lights blazing, assuming an intruder had breached their security.

To their utter astonishment, the collapsed figure they discovered was their own Jian Anning, leaving the Yu Family members stunned!

Yu Zexiao, especially, having just emerged from a period of recovery. The sight of Jian Anning lying by the door, a small suitcase clutched in her hand – a clear sign of her intent to leave without a word – left him with no room for misunderstanding.

"Anning? Anning!" Jian Anning remained unresponsive for a considerable time, her faintness profound.

A surge of anger and worry washed over Yu Zexiao. Without uttering another sound, he scooped her into his arms and immediately summoned an ambulance.

While awaiting the ambulance, several elder members of the Yu Family emerged, their surprise palpable upon hearing of Jian Anning's planned departure. Xia Ziyu, in particular, who had harbored a long-standing disapproval of Jian Anning. Witnessing this commotion, Xia Ziyu's displeasure was evident as she muttered, "Leaving in the dead of night! What could possibly be so urgent that it requires such a midnight exodus?"

"Grandmother!" Though Xia Ziyu was an elder, Yu Zexiao found himself unable to retort directly.

"Enough!" Yu Shenglin attempted to de-escalate, but Xia Ziyu’s discontent remained, "Truly!"

The ambulance arrived swiftly, and Yu Zexiao was the first to board. The vehicle sped off towards the hospital.

Despite her displeasure, Xia Ziyu, along with other Yu Family leaders, followed in their cars shortly after.

Upon reaching the emergency room, after receiving initial attention from the medical staff, Yu Zexiao waited outside. Soon, the family members arrived. During the wait, Xia Ziyu stifled a yawn, her brow furrowed in irritation. "What is this all about? It’s winter, and I’m already exhausted."

"You should say less!" Yu Shenglin’s own displeasure was stirred, finding his wife’s comments uncomfortable.

"What, did I say something wrong?" Xia Ziyu, her tolerance worn thin after five years, reached her breaking point. "She alone is causing unrest for our entire family! Not to mention, after more than five years, there's been no wedding, no children. I suspect she might have a medical issue and, not wanting to burden Xingxing, decided to leave on her own?"

"Grandmother!" Yu Zexiao began to speak, but a doctor emerged, inquiring, "Who is the family member?"

"What is the situation?" Yu Zexiao rose instantly.

The doctor reassured them, "There's no serious issue. She's simply overexerted herself, caught a slight cold. Some rest should suffice."
