Rex reunited with Davina, Lilliana, and Nash after his meeting with the deceptive High Lord Rashal, receiving a tracking credit card and news of an impending permit. They uncovered that a robed woman's golden-gloved handshake extracted their secrets, fueling suspicions about the deal for Primordial Authority in exchange for representing the High Lord. While adjusting to Larta City life in a penthouse amid surveillance—Davina eyeing cute trinkets shyly, Lilliana indulging in sweets, and Nash scouting the outskirts—Rex trained intensively on his Nigh-Divine Adaptation skill, sensing a change from devouring Godlings.

As explained by the System, consuming prey with the Nigh-Divine Adaptation skill active reshapes his biological structure to assimilate useful traits. He had firsthand knowledge of the skill's operation.

That granted him temporary access to the Steel Oustification.

Consequently, eliminating and devouring the pair of Godlings afterward proved far simpler.

Yet, there appeared to be an additional effect.

Following his hunt, Rex sensed his stomach perpetually bloated.

The sensation mirrored completing an excessive feast, inducing nausea and lethargy.

He suspected it resulted from ingesting Godlings brimming with energy beyond his body's habituation, but evidence suggested otherwise. The stuffed feeling lingered, as if his stomach surrendered on digestion.

To uncover the issue, Rex meditated and invoked the Nigh-Divine Adaptation skill.

Despite detecting nothing initially over several days, his determination prevailed, allowing him to pinpoint the source.

Buried deep within, remnants of energy from the devoured Godlings formed stubborn lumps, resisting automatic breakdown by the skill. Rex was compelled to process them deliberately, pulverizing and dispersing the essence throughout his form.

Upon completion, two notifications materialized before his eyes.

<Notice: the user has properly digested the Residual Traits from devoured prey>

<Two viable traits had been identified>

<Cavity Skipper>

Rank: Divine

Description: Allows the user to absorb the energy produced by the Cavity automatically. As long as the user is within the Cavity of the Primordial Meadow—gain the ability to skip distances as far as the eyes can see. It can only work when the user's internal energy flow is steady.

Duration: 7 Days

<Garden Master>

Rank: Divine

Description: Boosts all of the user's stats by three times when suffering damage from entities with the Curse of the Cavity Oustification.

Duration: 30 Days

"Not as strong as getting an Oustification, but this would still help a lot," Rex felt delighted by the Nigh-Divine Adaptation skill's potential. "Even though all my powers are back, I cannot rely on most of them other than during a battle."

Given Larta City's status as a hive city, its surveillance systems must be flawless.

Conventional spells, Great Spells, or even Pneuma Spells lack the potency to evade detection.

His curse power remains ineffective too, overly tuned for defense against Calidora. Without that focus, he'd be defenseless against her schemes, denying any tranquility. Thus, only one power source remains viable for Rex.

The Full Moon.

With abundant Divine Upgrades available, that poses no issue.

Nevertheless, an extra power source like this, usable at will, would provide tremendous aid.

Mentally selecting the Cavity Skipper skill, Rex felt a rush of energy surging within.

Though limited to a week, it outshone the Garden Master skill.

This will let me scout that desolate spot in the Cavity. However, invisibility is essential for that.

Rex rose and exited the training zone. The penthouse stood empty save for him, offering serene quietude. Casually, he poured wine into a glass, approached the table, and gazed at the bustling street beyond the smooth window walls.

Daylight still reigned.

Vehicles and crowds thronged the avenue, evoking memories of Ratmawati City.

Opposite stood a taller apartment tower. He scanned idly—or so it seemed—but truly employed the System and his vision to comb the vicinity for anomalies.

Since departing High Lord Rashal's office, his instincts warned of watchful eyes upon him.

Hence, he committed every encountered face to memory.

System scans alone fell short, as stat displays revealed little beyond current emotions. Distinguishing High Lord Rashal's spy amid the masses proved challenging.

Thus, Rex resorted to a classic Noob Box tactic.

Pattern and facial recognition.

Handling vast data streams effortlessly suited his superior mind, far surpassing ordinary humans. Recalling and dissecting observations came naturally. Like the woman two floors up in the facing apartment, perpetually meditating outdoors.

She devoted twelve hours daily to meditation, then perused books in the lounge or viewed content on her tablet. She shunned plain glasses for water, opting solely for wine glasses. Nights brought elaborate cooking sessions.

Or the suited everyman traversing the street at this hour.

Maybe the maintenance staffer rapping on his door at dawn for inspections.

All three served as spies.

On day one, Rex memorized the true resident of that opposite room—it wasn't this impostor. The suited man seemed mundane, yet Rex noted his biennial street loops, bench-sitting in varied guises.

The maintenance worker? Far too formidable.

While peers were mere Demigods, he ranked as a one-star Awakened Demigod.

"Hmm… How do I lose them—and get to the Cavity without being detected?" Rex pondered silently. His thoughts raced for answers, with the week-long Cavity Skipper duration ticking. "Killing them would only alert the High Lord. And he might even send new spies to replace the ones I killed.

"I need an ability to erase my presence, and also an Oustification to empower that." He mused further.

The Banished Dark Moon skill tree might supply the ability, though securing an Oustification proved tougher. "I still have one more charge—from the stick that I can use," Rex drummed his finger on the wine glass, mulling. "I need to take a walk."

He activated the blinds, shrouding the window walls, then pivoted.

Sipping the wine, he set the glass down and strode toward the exit.

Yet he halted abruptly.

Rather than departing, he flicked his wrist, pulling an item from inventory.

A key gleaming brilliant blue, vivid as if imprisoning sky essence. Light swirled inside like fluid, and though stationary in his grasp, it radiated profundity beyond life itself. Undeniably divine.

<Primordial Meadow Permit>

Rank: Divine

Description: Grant permission to open a portal to another realm within the Primordial Meadow.

Rex examined the permit from High Lord Rashal.

He yearned to venture out, hunt an Oustification aiding his plight swiftly, but recalled his pending decision. Single-use nature demanded care.

Choices: check Evelyn and Gistella, or aid Adhara.

Visiting them entailed channeling the Permit through Silverstar Genesis into his domain.

Assisting Adhara? Far more complex.

Another item appeared—one bought pre-God Realm entry, draining his gold. An hourglass filled with green sand, aura surpassing the Permit's intensity.

<Hourglass of Chronus Loom>

Rank: Divine

Description: An item that will grant the user a connection to the outskirts of the Weaver of Time's realm, the Sundial Arch.

Rex dispatched Amanir and Devo to bolster Adhara against Kaiser's Godlings—yet their endurance seemed fleeting. Reaching them required the circuitous path via a Cluster Custodian to skirt the veil.

Only thus could he reenter the Mortal Realm.

This crisis dwarfed prior challenges.

Facing myriad powerhouses, bulldozing the God Realm was impossible.

Swift return to aid Adhara lay beyond reach, despite efforts.

Time slipped away relentlessly, counterable solely by petitioning time's sovereign, the Weaver of Time. Rex acquired the Hourglass of Chronus Loom precisely for this—yet now doubted.

The Sundial Arch holds unknown perils. Instant death or entrapment possible.

Rex gripped the hourglass tightly, torn.

One Permit only. Without it for Sundial Arch, await Primordial Authority from High Lord Rashal. Duration unknown: days? Week? Month? Unclear.

Each ticking second prolonged Adhara's death struggle.

Her reassuring smile lingered, yet acceptance proved arduous.

Recklessness here could topple everything like dominoes.

Unprepared Sundial Arch venture was folly; Adhara wouldn't desire it.

Trust her strength. She'll endure. Faith unwavering.

Worst case, Nivellen remains. She can intervene.

Nivellen's aid would expose her to Lunirich Gods.

Yet Rex trusted she'd agree if asked.

Grinding his teeth, Rex stowed the hourglass in inventory with reluctance.

Long had he denied others chances to shine, presuming their frailty—effectively belittling them. Time to entrust them fully.

Prove your might, Adhara. I trust you'll persist until my arrival.

Kaiser's visage flashed in mind.

Joined by hostile Lunirich Gods.

Rest easy: should you perish, their deaths will honor you.

Rex sidestepped, pressing the Permit into the wall. It merged effortlessly, slicing space with ease. A twist birthed a pristine white portal—void, awaiting destination.

Drawing a deep breath, he pressed his palm to it.

A verbal command shifted it from white to silvery sheen.

"Silverstar Genesis."

Rex observed the portal's energy contracting inward, silvery hue intensifying. Process lasted a minute. Completion unveiled a vast shallow-water expanse mirroring starry night skies.

For the first time, he surveyed the realm.

Still pristine. Unmapped.

Yet faint divine strands glimmered from the waters, winking like vapor across the domain.

That, however, failed to captivate most.

Rather, his gaze locked on the central duo. Their eyes lit up beholding him through the portal.
