The Invincible Full-Moon System Chapter 1841: Divine Rule

"From us...?"
A chill surged through Evelyn's veins, freezing her blood.
Action was necessary now. Her instincts screamed at her to act, yet uncertainty gripped her.
Knowledge of the higher planes escaped her entirely.
"Evelyn," Gistella's voice pulled her focus. "We need to flee this place."
Without a moment's delay, as the atmosphere grew darker and more threatening, Evelyn spun around and dashed toward the group. She commanded her troops with fierce haste. "On your feet!" "We're getting out of here. Immediately!"
"Your Majesty," Sintra objected. "You're overreacting. I assured you everything's under control."
"Arguing isn't an option right now," Evelyn snapped back. "We're departing."
Her gaze shifted across, locking with Princess Selene's.
A single glance sufficed for Princess Selene to mobilize her own forces into a hasty escape. Staying in this valley spelled danger. At minimum, they ought to link up with Prince Alaric—across the kingdom's territory.
Following her orders, Mavok let out a howl and spearheaded the strategic withdrawal.
The rest quickly joined, forming a thundering herd that quaked the earth.
Adhara flanked right alongside Gistella, while Evelyn and Sintra took the left.
Trailing closely, Princess Selene and her group pursued.
Though unaware of what drove Evelyn's urgent call to run, Princess Selene harbored her doubts too. Overhead, the Blood Moon's glow pressed down oppressively, signaling the need for shelter.
During the flight, Evelyn surveyed her companions.
And she spotted a terrifying truth.
’No one's losing control,’ she pondered, a tight dread twisting in her gut, leaving her vulnerable. ’If the Blood Moon ordered Selene to delay, it aimed to slaughter us via mass frenzy. Yet no one's succumbing.
’Has the Lunirich God of the Blood Moon reconsidered?’ She speculated.
Princess Selene's alliance through reason likely caught it off guard.
Thus, the Lunirich God's shift in intent seemed probable.
’But if so, what's its new scheme?’ Evelyn glanced skyward briefly. "How will it strike? Taking over a vessel seems probable. Wait... Sven?"
The idea halted Evelyn.
Memories flooded back of Sven nearby, overwhelmed by moonlight power.
He might now be under the Blood Moon's possession.
ROAR—!
Heads turned as a mighty, booming roar echoed across the sky.
Sven unleashed it.
A furious, potent bellow that shook the air and pounded hearts like battle drums. It chilled spines to the core. Ominous intent lurked in that sound. This confirmed Evelyn's fear that Sven had become the Blood Moon's marionette.
Still, it remained speculation.
Gistella hadn't watched Sven before, so he could be unrelated.
Suddenly, chaos erupted from the opposite side.
Several werewolves tripped, then rose swiftly to press on. One stayed down, however. "Gistella?!" Evelyn halted sharply upon seeing Gistella tumble across the terrain, as if she'd misstepped badly.
Such a mishap seemed impossible.
Werewolves, elite Supernaturals in agility, excelled in movement.
Gistella's fall stemmed from no error.
Some halted, Adhara included, to aid Gistella.
Worry overrode caution for Evelyn as she bounded over. Sintra trailed her.
"Gistella, speak up!" Adhara jostled her firmly, receiving silence. Gistella's eyes stretched wide, vacant, chasing phantoms invisible to others. Sweat beaded her cold skin. Her breathing raced. Adhara had never witnessed her this way. "What's happening?!"
"Is the Blood Moon impacting her?"
"The Blood Moon spares us all, so that can't be it."
Observing the scene, Evelyn's inner turmoil intensified.
’Her eyes scan us all,’ Evelyn deduced, assessing Gistella closely. They fell to the black heart pulsing through her armor, quicker than ever. ’That second heart never raced like this. Her warning of death among us was literal.’
"What are you waiting for?" Sintra demanded sternly, eyeing the passing forces. "Lift her and move."
Most glanced briefly, but only Princess Selene and Miriam paused to investigate.
Alpha Primes took charge, charging toward the edge.
Though merely a Shaman, Adhara bristled at Sintra's sharpness, yet acknowledged her point.
Lingering wasn't wise amid the thickening peril in the air. Unclear what loomed, but instincts urged flight. Adhara sided with Evelyn—they must escape.
"Up you go, lean on me," Adhara assisted Gistella upright.
Resistance met her effort.
Gistella clutched her head with trembling hands instead. "This feels off... This feels off..."
Princess Selene summoned her hidden personal pack to secure the surroundings as they handled Gistella. She faced the group. "The Lunirich Gods fuel this outrage. They despise the Silverstar Pack, and timing couldn't suit them better.
"Kaiser learned the Royal Black Prince absent from this realm." She added darkly.
Allied with Evelyn now, she couldn't deny the sway of the moment.
She'd overlooked the Lunirich Gods' pursuit, now joining these heretics.
"What?" Evelyn whirled in disbelief.
For an instant, she doubted her ears, but Princess Selene's expression confirmed it.
"How... How could you know Rex isn't here?" She questioned in astonishment.
Rex's exit surprised even them. Without his warning, his absence would go unnoticed. Yet Princess Selene, far distant, possessed that intel.
"Like I mentioned, the Blood Moon sent me a vision. It revealed your alpha's absence."
"A deity revealed that?"
Weakness washed over Evelyn upon hearing this.
Prior to entering the Spirit Realm, Rex deployed a clone replicating his aura perfectly, deterring attacks during his absence. Evelyn anticipated threats from grudge-holding Supernaturals.
Instead, a God exploited the gap.
"Lunirich Gods aren't alone among deities," Sintra interjected, mocking their naivety. Youthful folly. "Higher planes follow strict laws. They can't act freely in lower worlds. Otherwise, lower realms wouldn't survive." She addressed the princess. "Kaiser contacts you now, Your Highness, since he's restrained."
Her eyes moved to Evelyn. "Unity ensures our safety."
Evelyn and Adhara shared a glance.
Simultaneously, their eyes turned to the quaking Gistella.
A shared doubt arose.
’Is her reaction excessive?’
Among the trio, Gistella stayed composed.
Her voice gentle. Shy. Often soothing others' hysterics.
This breakdown felt abnormal.
Deeper issues plagued her, yet neither could challenge Sintra's words, ignorant of divine matters. As they nearly yielded—deeming Gistella hysterical—a interruption sliced in.
"That holds usually, but exceptions exist," Miriam advanced.
Sintra's expression soured immediately.
"Rules restrain Gods from devastating lower realms, as you noted," Miriam neared Gistella and crouched to examine her. "Enforcement demands overseers. Superior Gods could authorize Lunirich ones for a key act."
"Sure, but odds of that are negligible," Sintra countered.
Miriam shot a piercing look back. "I claim your assertion wrong. Slim as it is, worse scenarios loom—and she holds clues. I cited one possibility; many others await."
Sintra clenched her jaw, holding her retort.
Miriam surpassed her in experience, wisdom, and strength.
"Can you truly diagnose her issue?" Adhara inquired eagerly.
"No guarantees. I'll rule out known factors—unknowns abound." Miriam smiled softly, then clawed her palm open, pressing it to Gistella's forehead. "May the source reveal itself."
Adhara rose swiftly. "Evelyn, reach out to Rex; urge his return now."
"Would that help?" Evelyn replied. "He's in a different realm. Returning demands time."
"Reach him anyway. He'll manage," Adhara balled her fists, face set with resolve. "He always devises solutions for us."
Evelyn agreed and stepped away to connect with Rex.
Her Harmony of Two Souls skill strengthened their bond.
Contacting him proved feasible, as recently done.
A Dancing Stripe pack member arrived soon—one of Princess Selene's. She observed the Beta's heavy breaths, odd for the short span to the border. "Breathe steady first," she instructed. Then scanned behind. "Where's everyone else?"
"The valley's encircled!" she gasped out. "Encircled!"
"Encircled?" Princess Selene cocked her head puzzled. "By whom?"
She dominated the surrounding lands.
No foe would assault her, with Alpha Primes under her sway for miles.
"Kaiser's force! The Blood Moon rages, shattering the dimension into a blood ocean!"
"What?!"
Per Sintra's prior words, Kaiser lacked power for such feats, even Blood Moon-boosted. An avatar was required for greater influence—sans it, his reach minimized.
Forming a blood sea suggested otherwise.
Concurrently, Miriam's eyes widened; she reeled back stunned.
She gaped at Gistella as at an exploding threat.
"What? What's afflicting her?" Adhara seized her arm, demanding.
"She..." Miriam faltered. Horror locked on Gistella. "Divine strands course through her!"
"A Demigod?!" Sintra recoiled too. "How's she a Demigod?! Our world hasn't fully awakened!"
Unlike the rest, she grasped the implications fully.
"Tell us why divine strands in her spell trouble," Adhara ordered. Panic leaked through her voice, unwelcome as it was. "Miriam! Clarify! We must understand!"
"God-binding rules link to a realm's divinity," Miriam shook off daze, elucidating. "Deities achieve little in mortal-only worlds, or rules punish harshly. But a Demigod..."
"...eases the constraints," Evelyn finished for her.
At that moment, Miriam eyed Evelyn strangely.
A subtle impulse pushed her to probe the other Silverstars.
Reluctantly, she touched Evelyn's forehead, paling instantly.
"Unbelievable," She swallowed hard. "You... You're laced with divine strands too."
