The Invincible Full-Moon System Chapter 1772: I’ll Always Find a Way

Rex is attacked by Empress Morgana, who wields a sword empowered by a Lunirich God. Despite the gods being unable to directly meddle with mortals, the weapon cuts through Rex's defenses. High Priestess Alana attempts to help but is also gravely injured as they are both struck and sent hurtling into the Black Rift. Critically wounded and unable to move, Rex finds himself surrounded by unknown threats.

A string of carriages tore through the Black Rift with the force of a projectile.

They emerged into a desolate clearing, where the only things remaining were several ancient statues looming in the distance.

"Tell me, where are we?" Princess Davina inquired, her gaze fixed out the window.

"I... I am uncertain, Princess," the driver stammered from his seat, audibly gasping at the sight before them.

"Are you positive we haven't lost our way?" she pressed, observing the endless flatland. "The Tomb of Heroes shouldn't look like this. It was supposed to be a massive stone construct."

"I am certain of our location, Princess," the driver insisted, gesturing toward the horizon. "The Tomb of Heroes possesses a unique internal mechanism. While it was designed to house the consciousness of heroes, it also serves as a ward against the Black Rift."

Princess Davina’s expression darkened into a deep frown.

She found the driver’s words credible. Beyond the rigorous standards for a driver of the Castillon House, this man was a local. He understood this territory better than anyone, having spent his entire life exploring these lands since childhood. There was no way he would lose his bearings here.

Turning toward the captain of her guard, she gave a sharp wave, signaling the soldiers to fan out.

With a curt nod, the captain ordered the convoy to disperse.

Given the open terrain, there was little risk of any unit being cut off or isolated.

After a few minutes of searching, Princess Davina finally noticed a shift in the environment.

It wasn't a change in the geography, but rather physical scars on the earth.
