Nolan, disguised as a demon, was led to a rundown house by a horse-headed demon. Inside, he discovered a horrific scene of torture and death. The horse-headed demon revealed Nolan was intended as prey for four other demons. However, Nolan dropped his disguise, revealing himself as a human, and effortlessly decapitated the four attackers. He then interrogated the terrified horse-headed demon for information about the Imperial Palace before executing him when he tried to escape.

Whoosh!

Nolan materialized above the Demon Imperial Palace.

Gazing at the colossal structure before him, a smile touched Nolan's lips.

"It truly is worthy of being called the grandest palace ever constructed," he mused aloud.

Records indicated that the Demon Imperial Palace stood as the pinnacle of architectural achievement.

Even the Velmora Imperial Palace paled in comparison. Having witnessed it firsthand, Nolan found himself compelled to agree with this assessment.

Yet, his objective wasn't architectural admiration or a simple appreciation of its magnificence. He was here to stir up trouble.

Nolan inhaled deeply, his left fist clenching with resolve.

Suddenly, an enormous hand, easily spanning over ten meters, coalesced in the air. Upon closer scrutiny, the hand bore an uncanny resemblance to his own.

Without a moment's delay, Nolan drove his fist downward, and the colossal hand mirrored his motion precisely.

Boom!

A thunderous explosion reverberated as the massive fist collided with the magical barrier safeguarding the palace.

Undeterred, Nolan pressed his assault, having anticipated a formidable barrier.

Boom!

Boom!

He continued his relentless barrage, striking again and again.

The palace guards were visibly caught off guard by the sudden, fierce assault.

They scrambled like ants whose nest had been invaded, then instinctively looked upwards towards the sky.

The instant they spotted the gargantuan fist suspended above them, their shock morphed into a surge of enraged disbelief.

"Who are you!? How dare you assault the Demon Emperor's palace!?" their commander vehemently demanded.

Nolan ceased his attacks. Casting his gaze down upon them, a subtle smile graced his features.

"Summon your Demon Emperor to confront me," he stated with calm authority. "Alternatively, I shall continue this assault until this palace is reduced to rubble."

Without awaiting a reply, he resumed his relentless strikes. The protective barrier around the imperial palace shuddered violently, teetering on the brink of collapse.

The captain and his soldiers grew increasingly agitated. They had not anticipated Nolan's steadfast composure; in fact, his audacity seemed to escalate.

The captain swiftly dispatched a soldier to relay the situation to the Demon Emperor without delay.

Failure to do so would result in the palace's destruction, unleashing unimaginable chaos.

Boom!

Boom!

Nolan's offensive did not falter. He persisted in hammering the magical barrier, though he held back his full strength.

In his assessment, the barrier defending the imperial palace was comparatively weak. He could have dismantled it effortlessly with a black hole or his own spatial manipulation abilities.

However, that would spoil the fun.

As he continued his bombardment of the magical barrier, a chilling voice suddenly echoed throughout the palace grounds.

"Stop!"

Whoosh!

A streak of pure light descended, and the imposing figure of the Demon Emperor Zerathos emerged from within it.

Nolan observed him, a faint smile playing on his lips.

'So, this is Zerathos in his prime,' he thought to himself.

Zerathos possessed a tall, commanding stature. His hair was the color of blood, matching his piercing eyes.

He was clad in black armor, intricately inscribed with runes across its entirety. His very presence in the air commanded awe, compelling observers to instinctively bow.

Nolan had to concede that Zerathos was undeniably handsome and imposing, a stark contrast to his future self, who appeared as a mere insignificant worm.

Activating his Eyes of Chaos, Nolan peered into Zerathos's very being.

A look of astonishment instantly flashed across his face.

"What an immense mana core!" he exclaimed in sheer wonder.

The mana core served as the wellspring of magical power for all arcane beings.

Zerathos's mana core was not merely ten—it was a hundred times larger than that of typical celestial mages.

This could only signify one thing: his power had transcended into the Beyond the World realm.

No, perhaps he had even surpassed that legendary status, venturing into a level uncharted in historical records.

"No wonder he could wreak havoc across this continent and trigger a global crisis. With power like that, no one could possibly stop him except for the Dragon Ancestor," Nolan stated truthfully.

Even Malverna might find herself outmatched against the present Zerathos.

Malverna herself resided within the Beyond the World level, making her chances of victory exceedingly slim.

"Who are you? State your purpose for coming here?"

Zerathos's cold, sharp voice abruptly pulled Nolan from his contemplation.

"My purpose?" Nolan met his gaze innocently, then offered a slight smile. "Nothing extraordinary. I simply wished to ascertain the true strength of the Demon Emperor—the one feared by all living beings. And you are, indeed, exceptionally powerful, exceeding even my wildest imagination."

Nolan's compliment failed to appease Demon Emperor Zerathos. Instead, his expression grew darker.

"What do you mean by that? You came here merely to test me? On whose authority?"

Boom!

A formidable surge of demonic energy erupted from his body, projecting a shockwave that rippled outwards.

Even the magical barrier protecting the imperial palace vibrated intensely under the sheer force of this pressure.

The soldiers below dropped to their knees, completely frozen and unable to move.

"Y-Your Majesty, please show mercy!" the captain pleaded, his voice trembling.

"Please spare us!" the other soldiers shouted, their faces pale with fear.

But Demon Emperor Zerathos ignored their pleas.

His eyes stayed fixed on Nolan, who hovered calmly in the air, completely unfazed.

'Who is this guy? How is he resisting my pressure?' Zerathos thought.

The pressure he had just released was enough to make the entire human alliance tremble in fear.

Even the Hero of Light and the Hero of Darkness would be affected by it, though not to the point of kneeling.

Yet the man before him remained completely unaffected, as if that terrifying pressure were nothing more than a passing breeze.

Nolan casually waved his hand. In an instant, Zerathos's pressure vanished without a trace.

"W-What!?" Zerathos's eyes widened in shock. "My pressure was dispelled just like that?!"

His gaze toward Nolan changed. The earlier contempt had completely vanished, replaced by sharp caution.

In this world, there were only three people capable of threatening him—the Hero of Light, the Hero of Darkness, and the Dragon Ancestor of the dragon race.

As for those two heroes, he still slightly underestimated them.

At the very least, they hadn't yet reached the level where he would need to take them seriously in a real fight.

And now, he had to add one more name to that list—the man standing before him.

"Why? Are you surprised?" Nolan asked with a faint chuckle.

The Demon Emperor Zerathos narrowed his eyes. He lowered his stance slightly, preparing to attack—but in that instant, Nolan moved first.

His figure shot forward like a bullet, moving so fast it looked as if he had pierced through space itself.

"Let's get this started!"

Boom!

His fist slammed into the Demon Emperor's face, sending him flying at lightning speed.

But Nolan didn't stop there. He raised his hand, and the space around Zerathos instantly froze.

His body—still hurtling through the air—came to an abrupt halt.

Then Nolan grinned.

"Today, I'll show you what true power looks like!"

With that, both of their figures vanished from sight.
