A soldier and Roseline Lorian approach Nolan and Evalyn, surprised by their striking appearances. Roseline questions their identity and knowledge of the Hero of Light. After Evalyn presents a Lionheart token and Nolan reveals an imperial Lorian token, Roseline is shocked. Nolan explains they are from the future, and Evalyn is a descendant of Roseline and Rei. To prove his identity and claim, Nolan performs a bloodline synchronization with Roseline, leaving her stunned.

"Why is Princess Roseline taking so long? What on earth is happening?"

Inside his tent, Rei found himself scratching his head, a puzzled expression on his face as he gazed at the tent flap.

It had been considerably more than ten minutes, yet Roseline had still not made an appearance.

"Could those two individuals who arrived earlier have attacked her?"

The instant this thought surfaced, a wave of panic began to afflict him. Rei was on the verge of standing when Luminus's voice resonated within his mind.

"Don't move, you idiot! Your body is still gravely injured!"

Rei froze in place. He looked towards Luminus with a worried expression and voiced, "But Roseline might be in danger!"

"In danger? Has your brain completely abandoned you? There are thousands of soldiers present. If she were truly in peril, there would undoubtedly be widespread chaos by now. Why can't you think logically?"

Rei fell silent. Luminus's reasoning was undeniably sound.

Abruptly, footsteps approached the tent entrance, and Roseline gracefully stepped inside.

Seeing her finally, Rei let out a profound sigh of relief. Fortunately, he had heeded Luminus's advice.

Had he not, the commotion he would have caused would have merely served to make him appear foolish.

"Your Highness—"

Before he could finish his utterance, Roseline interjected.

"Hero Rei, there are individuals who wish to meet with you. Do you grant them permission?"

Rei was taken aback. The people Roseline mentioned must certainly be the two guests from earlier—the ones a soldier had reported.

"This..." he began, his voice trailing off in hesitation. But judging from Roseline's composed demeanor, it seemed unlikely the guests posed any threat or were being deceitful.

"Very well. Bring them in."

Roseline immediately pulled back the tent flap, and two figures entered the tent.

They were a man and a woman. The man was so striking in his handsomeness that Rei found himself staring with open admiration.

His hair, black and slightly long, caught the tent's light, causing his eyes to gleam with a deep, mesmerizing purple hue.

The woman accompanying him, however, was exceptionally beautiful. Her features were perfectly sculpted, and she possessed an imposing aura of heroic spirit.

For an unknown reason, the moment Rei's gaze landed on her, he felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity akin to looking at another version of himself.

"Rei! That woman… that woman is the one I was referring to earlier!"

Luminus's voice, laced with horror, echoed in Rei's mind.

"Huh?" Rei froze, recalling Luminus's mention from the previous day about something familiar approaching their tent.

Could this woman be the 'something familiar' he had spoken of?

"Greetings, Hero of Light," Nolan and Evalyn offered in unison.

"Ah! Yes," Rei responded stiffly. "So…"

He scrutinized both of them intently—particularly Evalyn—before inquiring, "Who exactly are you?"

Nolan cast a glance at Evalyn, who immediately understood his unspoken request.

She stepped forward, knelt on one knee, placed her right hand over her chest, and bowed her head respectfully.

"My name is Evalyn Lionheart, and I am your descendant."

Rei stood utterly speechless, a trio of question marks seemingly floating above his head.

"W-Wait just a moment..." Rei raised his right hand. "You claim to be my descendant?"

Evalyn nodded affirmatively. "That is correct, Ancestor."

"No! You must be mistaken! I am merely twenty-five years old, alright? I've never even held a woman's hand before. How could I possibly have a descendant—let alone one as mature as you?!" Rei vehemently refused to accept this revelation.

Evalyn let out a soft chuckle. She lifted her head, her gaze locking deeply with Rei's eyes.

This was her very first encounter with her ancestor in person; prior to this moment, she had only seen him depicted in paintings.

"I apologize, Ancestor. The truth is, I am your descendant from the future."

At this declaration, Rei was even more profoundly stunned, his mouth agape—wide enough, it seemed, to swallow an apple whole.

"M-My descendant from the future?" he stammered. "Y-You must be joking, surely?"

"No, I am not joking!" Evalyn insisted, her tone firm. "If you still refuse to believe me, I shall provide proof."

She rose to her feet and walked towards the Divine Sword of Luminus.

Amidst the astonished gazes of both Roseline and Rei, she effortlessly grasped the sword and drew its blade.

"Observe—I can lift this sword with the greatest of ease."

She swung it as if it were no heavier than an ordinary practice blade.

Roseline remained silent, her eyes wide.

Rei was equally stunned into silence.

Both of them were frozen, utterly incapable of comprehending what they were witnessing.

The Divine Sword of Luminus was known as a legendary weapon, one that could only be wielded by Rei, the Hero of Light.

To even attempt to touch it, let alone wield it, would result in anyone else being forcefully repelled. This was due to Luminus's profound aversion to anyone other than Rei trying to wield his power.

Yet here was Evalyn, holding it without the slightest difficulty. This fact alone served as the most irrefutable proof of her lineage.

"R-Rei! This woman truly is your descendant!" Luminus's voice, now filled with panic, resounded in Rei's mind. "I-I can distinctly sense your bloodline flowing within her!"

Upon hearing Luminus's confirmation, any remaining doubts within Rei completely dissipated.

Rei stared blankly at Evalyn. A descendant from the future had appeared before him, proclaiming him her ancestor… truthfully, it was quite hard for him to accept this reality.

In fact, this revelation was even more staggering than the moment he had been summoned to this world initially.

'A moment…' Rei's eyes narrowed. 'My descendant has journeyed back from the future? Does this imply I will have a family and descendants far in the future? And what of the Demon Emperor? Did we manage to defeat him?'

As if perceiving Rei's unspoken questions, Nolan suddenly interjected.

"Yes. You, alongside the Hero of Darkness, successfully vanquished the Demon Emperor. This is precisely what transpires in the future timeline."

"Hiss!" A sharp intake of breath escaped Rei, his face instantly alight with evident joy.

His suspicions had been correct all along!

"I see…" Rei exhaled a deep breath, then turned his gentle gaze towards Evalyn. "Come here, child. Let your ancestor give you a hug!"

Evalyn froze, unsure how to react. However, before she could even contemplate accepting or declining, Roseline's panicked cry shattered the quiet atmosphere.

"No! That's not permitted!"

"Huh?" Rei flinched, looking at Roseline with utter bewilderment. "What is wrong? Why is it not allowed?"

"W-Well…" Roseline stammered, nervously twirling her index fingers together. "Even though Evalyn is your descendant, that event is in the future, not the present. And currently, your ages are not drastically different. Therefore… a hug is still not permissible."

"Is that so?" Rei mused, rubbing his chin as he processed her peculiar reasoning.

Nolan observed their exchange, a subtle chuckle escaping him.

'This fellow is truly oblivious.'

He shook his head, emitting a soft sigh.

Roseline's jealousy was glaringly apparent, yet the clueless man remained utterly unaware.

Nolan had certainly not anticipated the hero, destined for future adoration, to be quite like this. Nevertheless, in his assessment, Rei was undeniably unique.

Nolan could plainly discern that the man possessed a naive, kind-hearted, and innocent disposition.

It stood in stark contrast to the heroic image Nolan had always envisioned.

"By the way, Evalyn," Rei inquired, redirecting his attention to her. "What prompted your journey back to this era? Did something occur in the future?"

Roseline's expression also conveyed her curiosity. Based on Nolan's narrative, she and Rei were fated to marry and establish the prominent Lionheart Clan.

Yet, the specific reason for Evalyn and Nolan's presence in this time period remained unknown to her.

Evalyn composed herself, recognizing this as her opportune moment to learn her ancestor's combat techniques.

"I…"

Before a single word could leave her lips, a soldier's frantic voice bellowed from outside the tent.

"Hero, danger approaches! Demon General Malgrion and his fifteen thousand strong army are moments away from assaulting our camp!"
