Nolan and Seira fled through the forest as Erkan unleashed ten thousand soldiers in pursuit. Nolan disrupted the chase with Sunfire, but Thousand Faces countered with Meteor Judgment fireballs, which Nolan deftly evaded while enhancing their horse's speed. Bursting into the desert, they dodged a rain of arrows before a massive sand monster emerged and swung at them, only for their horse to leap over its giant hand as Elina raced toward them with her army.

Plop!

The horse tumbled into the sand but swiftly stood up and dashed ahead once more.

Erkan and his men froze in shock, hastily pulling their mounts to a stop.

"Damn…" Erkan clenched his jaw, eyes fixed on Nolan and Seira fleeing on horseback, then turned to the colossal beast before them. "A sand golem… never thought we'd encounter one in this place."

Sand golems ranked as city-destroying monsters, boasting tremendous toughness and power.

Their gigantic frames enabled them to crush anything blocking their way with ease.

"Thousand Faces, can you help us take it down? At the very least, distract it!" Erkan yelled.

Thousand Faces gave a nod. He pressed his palms together, conjuring a fireball five meters across above him.

Whoosh!

The fireball shot toward the sand golem and burst apart on collision.

ARGHH!

A deafening roar erupted from the creature as it was hurled backward, slamming into the ground. Shockwaves rippled outward for five hundred meters.

Seizing the short opening, Erkan spurred his soldiers onward in the direction Nolan had fled.

"Almost there!" Elina whispered through gritted teeth.

Exhaustion covered her face entirely, yet fierce resolve still flickered in her eyes.

She sensed her brother's peril and resolved to rescue him whatever the cost.

"Brother, just hold on a little longer!"

Praying in silence, she urged her mount faster.

Cling!

A sudden chime resonated within her heart, like a bell tolling sharply.

Her eyes flew wide, breath coming in heavy gasps.

"That… my brother is close?"

The connection she shared with Nolan went beyond typical siblings. As twins, their souls linked directly.

She could detect his presence from up to a five-hundred-meter range.

Right then, that familiar feeling surged—a clear signal of his nearness.

True enough, moments later, a tiny silhouette appeared in the distance, speeding their way.

Bit by bit, the shape sharpened into focus.

A horse bore two riders: one man, one woman.

"Brother Nolan!" Elina's eyes gleamed like brilliant stars.

All her weariness melted away instantly, drowned by pure elation.

At the same time, Nolan caught sight of the distant soldiers, exhaling in relief with a grin.

"They've finally arrived," he murmured.

Now, his scheme had played out without a hitch.

"N-Nolan, who are they? Could they be enemies?" Seira asked, voice laced with worry.

Nolan glanced at her, softly patting her thigh.

"It's Elina and the troops from the eastern region. We're safe."

Seira blinked in astonishment. Squinting, she recognized the woman at the front.

"It really is Elina!"

Relief poured from her in a deep sigh. She had no idea how Elina reached this spot but guessed Nolan orchestrated it.

None of that mattered now. Safety was what counted.

Nearing the soldiers, Nolan reined in his horse, halting directly before the group.

"Brother!"

Elina leaped from her horse and dashed to him.

Nolan slid off his mount too, spreading his arms open wide.

Elina launched herself into his embrace, squeezing him fiercely.

"Why are you so stupid!? You never change!" she scolded through her tears.

The letter from her brother had made her feel like the heavens themselves might crumble.

Her normally idle and carefree brother had somehow angered the Ancient Kingdom of Eron. She first assumed it was a jest.

Never imagining it to be genuine.

Fortunately, she moved fast, seeking Duke Austin's aid, and he swiftly committed tens of thousands of troops along with their warships.

Without that, she shuddered to think her brother's fate.

Concealed in her shadow, Malverna rolled her eyes with an inner scoff, 'Your brother is the Singularity of Chaos. Why are you worried? On the contrary, it's the royal family who should be worried, since they could be destroyed at any moment by that madman!'

Still, she bit back her words, staying quiet.

"I'm sorry." Nolan put on a helpless act. "I had no choice but to offend the royal family to save your older sister."

Elina pouted in frustration but held her tongue.

She understood him inside out. Beneath the cool, detached front, Nolan cared profoundly for family and those dear to him.

Finally sated from the hug, Elina pulled away with reluctance.

Turning to Seira, she approached with worry etched on her face.

"Sister Seira."

She enveloped her in a tight hug, and Seira hugged back warmly.

"You're okay, right? Did the royal family hurt you?"

Seira smiled softly, brushing Elina's hair from her face.

"Thanks for your concern, but I'm fine. Don't worry."

Elina gave a feeble nod and loosened her embrace. She gazed gravely at Nolan and Seira before asking, "Brother, Sister, where are the enemy troops chasing you?"

Seira jolted in shock. She couldn't figure out how Elina knew that. Nolan alone kept his composure, stealing occasional glances at the dark silhouette lurking behind Elina.

"They'll be here soon," Nolan answered offhandedly, swinging his head back around.

Right after those words left his mouth, an elongated dark shadow materialized on the horizon. A closer look revealed it to be a vast horde of troops.

Darius, the sturdy fellow who'd acted as Elina's aide on their travels, squinted his eyes in caution.

He yanked his reins, guiding his horse nearer to Nolan, Elina, and Seira.

"Your Highness, the enemy is approaching. What are your orders?" he inquired.

Elina inhaled deeply and lifted her right hand.

"Don't move yet. I will negotiate with them."

She yearned to prevent any slaughter if feasible. Yet, if talks failed, she'd unflinchingly unleash war.

Darius offered no protest and rode back to his place.

"Brother, Sister Seira, wait a moment. Let me handle this."

Yet Nolan shook his head, turning down the offer.

"I'm coming with you. There's something I want to say to their leader."

Elina paused briefly, then nodded and swung back onto her horse.

"Wait here."

Nolan clapped Seira's shoulder reassuringly before leaping onto his own mount.

Silent, Seira turned and strode toward the lines of soldiers following behind.

Meanwhile, Erkan yanked his horse to a stop and thrust up his left hand.

The ten thousand soldiers halted as one, eyes locked warily on what lay ahead.

'Looks like reinforcements from the Great Velmora Empire have shown up,' Erkan muttered, face etched with gloom.

He'd expected something like this. No way the foes would sit idle in such a moment.

Their speed alone caught him off guard a bit.

It surpassed his calculations.

At that instant, Elina and Nolan advanced on horseback, escorted by five riders.

Elina's voice boomed out, "Who is your leader?"
