Princess Seira was gravely injured after an attack. The court physician revealed her soul was incomplete, a condition she had since birth and which was now nearing a fatal limit. Desperate, King Ragan learned of an ancient ritual, the Dance of the Sun God from the Eastern Continent, as the only hope for his daughter's survival. Though skeptical, Ragan resolved to find a dancer to perform the ritual. However, Isabella stepped forward, declaring she would be the one to perform the dance.

"Y-You?"

Ragan was surprised by her words.

Isabella nodded slightly.

"I used to be a dancer in the Eastern Empire of Izanagi, so I can help you."

Ragan didn't hesitate. He immediately grabbed Isabella's hand and pulled her along.

"In that case, let's go!"

…

"You're offering to perform the dance?"

Nolan looked at Isabella in surprise.

"Yes."

Isabella nodded as she took a sip of tea.

"As it happens, I used to perform ritual dances in the Eastern Empire of Izanagi."

Nolan fell silent. He believed her. After all, his mother was a princess of the Eastern Empire of Izanagi.

Back then, his mother had been the Sun God Dancer, but after she married his father, her twin sister, Kaede, took her place.

Nolan took another sip of tea as he thought about the story Isabella had just told him.

'So, that's what happened. Seira has had an incomplete soul since birth. But why have I never heard about this?'

Ragan had to be given credit for keeping the matter hidden from the outside world.

Even Nolan, with Blue Moon's extensive information network, had never heard about it.

"What happened after that? Was the ritual successful?" Nolan asked.

He already knew the answer, of course. After all, Seira was still alive.

Still, he was certain there was more to the story. Something must have happened that he didn't know about.

"The ritual succeeded, but…"

Isabella's expression grew complicated.

"There was a price to pay…"

…

In a vast hall lined with towering pillars, Isabella laid the unconscious Seira in the center.

Ragan, Cassandra, Vanessa, Orion, and Dalas stood at a distance, watching.

"How confident are you that this plan will work?" Vanessa asked coldly.

Dalas shook his head.

"Ten—no, maybe only five percent."

"That low?"

Vanessa's eyes widened in shock.

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure."

Dalas nodded solemnly.

"After all, matters of the soul aren't something we mere mortals can handle. All we can do is pray that Concubine Isabella can communicate with the Sun God."

Vanessa was at a loss for words. She hadn't expected their chances to be so slim.

"Your Majesty—"

"I know."

Ragan cut her off with a heavy sigh.

"This is the only way to save Seira. Let's pray that she succeeds."

He tried to remain composed, but the worry on his face was hard to hide.

Vanessa pressed her lips together as she gently rubbed her pregnant belly.

"Everything is ready."

Isabella took a deep breath and slowly exhaled.

She gently stroked Seira's head as she lay unconscious before her.

"Don't worry, Seira. I'll help you, even if it means facing the Sun God himself."

She stood up and turned to the men standing on her right.

"Come on. Let's begin."

They nodded and began playing their instruments.

As the first notes echoed through the hall, Isabella unfolded the two fans in her hands and began dancing barefoot.

To perform the Dance of the Sun God, she had to wear a white kimono and a long red skirt that reached her ankles.

Her long black hair was tied in a loose ponytail, and a fabric crown rested on her head.

In the distance, Ragan, Vanessa, Cassandra, Orion, and Dalas stood motionless, watching Isabella's graceful dance.

The melody blended perfectly with her movements, creating a beautiful harmony between the music and her dance.

Isabella leaped to the right, twirling both arms as she moved. Her movements were calm and controlled, and every step was perfectly executed.

Back then, she had been the lead dancer in the imperial family's annual ritual to honor the Sun God.

Her training had been no joke. For fifteen years, she had been required to practice for at least six hours every single day.

If not for her desire to devote herself to her husband, she might still be serving as a temple princess, eventually ascending the throne to become the ruler of the Eastern Empire of Izanagi.

As she danced, Isabella closed her eyes and murmured, "Oh, my God, please hear my plea."

She spun around, extending her fans to either side before bringing her feet together and leaping to the left.

"I am your humble servant, and I need your help."

Buzz!

The candles surrounding Isabella and Seira suddenly flared to life, their flames burning brightly.

"My daughter, Seira Lorian, has suffered a misfortune that cannot be undone without your help."

She opened her eyes and gazed into the darkness before her.

"Please, help me!" she cried.

Whoosh!

A sudden gust of wind swept through the hall, blowing against Isabella and everyone else present.

The music came to an abrupt halt, and Ragan, Cassandra, Vanessa, Orion, and Dalas fell silent.

Time itself seemed to freeze. Only Isabella could still move.

"I have heard your prayer."

A majestic, powerful voice echoed throughout the hall.

Isabella stopped dancing, panting as she looked up. A beautiful woman had appeared out of thin air.

Her beauty was beyond words. Isabella couldn't even begin to describe what she was seeing.

She was about to bow to the woman, but an invisible force stopped her.

"There's no need to bow, Yuki Taira. I've come to grant your wish."

Unable to hold back her tears, Isabella wiped them away and broke into a big smile.

"Thank you, Sun God… Thank you."

The Sun God smiled and nodded slightly.

She then turned toward Seira and opened her right palm.

A red light radiated from her hand before shooting toward Seira.

In an instant, Seira's pale, frail body was filled with strength and vitality once more.

"I have restored her soul, but the effects are only temporary. In twenty-seven years, her soul will begin to weaken again. You'll have to find a way to deal with this on your own."

Isabella's happiness vanished in an instant, slipping away like sand through her fingers.

"I-I have to find a solution on my own? How is that even possible? I'm just an ordinary person."

The Sun God smiled faintly.

"Don't worry. You may not be able to handle this yourself, but your son will be different."

She gazed meaningfully at Isabella's still-flat stomach.

"Futari no Hikari will be born from your womb and bring change to the entire world, including this little girl."

Isabella was left speechless.

"I'll be going now."

With those words, the Sun God vanished, and time slowly began to flow again.

Isabella closed her eyes for a moment, then continued dancing until the end.

As the final notes echoed through the hall, she stopped and turned to Ragan.

Ragan looked back at her, his eyes filled with both hope and anxiety.

Isabella smiled and nodded slightly.

"It's over. Seira has been saved…"
