Claire finds Shion with Nolan, who reveals himself to be their long-lost master. He recounts how he helped Claire escape her past and established her trading company. Claire and Shion are reunited with their master, who acknowledges their efforts in managing the White Lotus and Blue Moon Trading Houses. Nolan learns about the difficulties in obtaining permits for his train project due to the emperor's illness and the prime minister's seclusion, and resolves to create a new blueprint. As Nolan rejoins the banquet, he is approached by his sister, Elina.

"Hah... Hah... Hah..."

Evalyn was panting as she opened her eyes. The dark ceiling of her room greeted her.

"That dream..."

She rubbed her face, which felt strangely dry.

"What was that? Why did I dream about something like that?"

It was the first time she'd ever had a dream like that. It was strange and... kind of creepy.

She sat up, grabbed a glass of water, and drank it in one gulp.

Once she had calmed down, she leaned back against the headboard and closed her eyes.

She tried to recall the dream, but something felt strange. It was as if the entire dream had simply been erased from her memory.

"What exactly happened?"

She opened her eyes and pressed a hand against her chest.

She felt as though something was missing, but she didn't know what it was. The feeling grew stronger by the second, leaving her increasingly troubled.

Suddenly...

"Young Lady, there's a visitor from the imperial palace. He wishes to see you."

Evalyn frowned and was about to refuse, but she quickly changed her mind.

"Who is he?"

"I don't know. He didn't introduce himself. He only said he wanted to see you."

Evalyn let out a long sigh before getting out of bed and grabbing her towel.

"Tell him to wait ten more minutes. I'm going to take a shower."

"Okay."

Evalyn went to the bathroom and began taking a shower.

Meanwhile, the maid returned to the living room, where she found a handsome black-haired man sitting on the sofa, calmly sipping his tea.

"Sir, Young Lady Evalyn is taking a shower. Please wait a moment."

The man, who was none other than Nolan, smiled.

"I understand. Thank you."

The maid bowed her head and turned to leave.

Nolan was now alone in the large living room.

He took another sip of his tea and looked around the room, carefully taking in every detail.

"Nothing has changed," he whispered.

Six months had passed, yet the room still looked exactly as he remembered it.

Nolan stood up and walked toward the backyard. A two-meter-tall tree stood in the middle of the garden, with a swing hanging from one of its branches.

Nolan smiled when he saw it.

"It brings back memories."

He walked over to the swing and gave it a gentle push. It slowly started swinging back and forth.

The swing where he and Evalyn used to play now looked surprisingly small.

"Hehehe! Chase me!"

A girl's voice suddenly rang out beside him.

Nolan turned and saw the silhouettes of a young Evalyn and himself running around the garden.

The happiness on their faces was impossible to hide.

Even though Nolan was a reincarnator, he didn't really consider himself an adult.

His childhood in his previous life had been incredibly boring. His parents were always too busy to spend time with him, and he never had any true friends.

Seira was the only person he could really call a friend. Unfortunately, she couldn't always be there for him.

So, Nolan spent most of his time alone—whether he was studying, playing the piano, or simply daydreaming by himself.

That was why, after being reincarnated into this world, he never forced himself to act like a full-fledged adult.

Instead, he enjoyed his time playing with Evalyn or occasionally acting spoiled around his mother, Isabella.

"What are you doing over there?"

A cold voice suddenly snapped Nolan out of his reverie.

He turned around and saw a beautiful woman wearing a long blue dress that reached her calves.

Her slender figure, with curves in all the right places, looked stunning.

Her face was stern and cold, but that only added to her captivating charm.

Her silver hair was tied into a ponytail that suited her perfectly.

Nolan smiled when he saw her.

"I'm just looking around. Is that not allowed?"

Evalyn stared intently at Nolan, and suddenly, the memory of her dream resurfaced.

The figure of the faceless boy slowly came into focus. His face looked strangely similar to the man standing in front of her.

Without thinking, her body moved on its own. She quickly stepped forward, grabbed him by the collar, and pulled his face closer to hers.

Nolan was startled by her sudden action. Their faces were only a few centimeters apart.

He could even smell the scent of Evalyn's shampoo and feel her sweet breath against his face.

"Excuse me, what are you doing?"

Evalyn snapped out of it and quickly pulled away.

Her indifferent expression instantly crumbled, replaced by a faint blush.

"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way. Please forget about it."

She turned her face to the side while keeping her guard up.

Nolan raised an eyebrow at her strange reaction.

However, he was too lazy to dwell on it, so he quickly changed the subject.

"You're Evalyn, right? Nice to meet you. I'm Nolan. I'm Elina Lorian's advisor in the battle for the throne."

He extended his hand toward her.

Evalyn glanced at his outstretched hand hesitantly before accepting it.

"Elina's advisor in the battle for the throne?"

"That's right."

Nolan nodded before pulling his hand back.

"Elina told me that you're a hero. Ah, no, I mean, you're the only descendant of the Hero of Light to be recognized by the Holy Sword Luminus, right? I'd like to ask for your help."

"Ask for my help?"

Evalyn narrowed her eyes.

"What is it?"

"It feels a little uncomfortable talking out here. How about we go inside?" Nolan suggested.

Evalyn thought it made sense. She turned around and invited him inside.

…

"What do you mean? He refused to become Deputy General?"

Seira's expression turned strange.

"Yes. He said so himself. I don't know the reason. He suddenly gave up the position and asked me to hand it over to Sister Freya."

Elina smiled helplessly.

"What do you think, Sister?"

"I don't mind." Seira shook her head. "From the start, I actually preferred Freya. She knows more about the terrain you'll be traveling through. Even though Nolan is strong, he lacks combat experience. Honestly, making him Deputy General would have been a bit risky. Fortunately, he knows his own limits. That eases my concerns."

Elina smiled and nodded in agreement.

"When will I be leaving?"

"In two days. Gathering the troops will take some time, and we also need to prepare enough supplies. After all, you'll be leading fifteen thousand men."

"Fifteen thousand?"

Elina was stunned.

She knew the number would be large, but she hadn't expected it to be that many.

"I'm counting on you."

Seira patted her on the shoulder with a soft chuckle.

Elina took a deep breath and nodded seriously.

"I understand."

After exchanging a few more words, Elina left Seira's office.

"Orion," Seira called.

Whoosh!

Orion appeared beside her and bowed his head.

"What are your orders, Your Majesty?"

Seira glanced at him.

"How many of the Constellation Mages are available?"

"Three. Draco, Phoenix, and Cassiopeia."

"What about Lyra?"

"Lyra is very busy. She also has to protect His Majesty Ragan from the shadows."

"I see. In two days, have all three of them accompany Elina and Freya to the southern border."

Her eyes flashed with a piercing, icy glare.

"Not a single one of those rebels is to be left alive. Understood?"

"I understand!" Orion replied firmly.
