The Heart System Chapter 503
Previously on The Heart System...
A deep groan escaped my lips as my head snapped back, unleashing that final eruption deep within her. The climax hit like nothing else, waves of electric surges yanked straight from my soul itself. I flooded her depths with a torrent of searing heat, stuffing her to the brim, my frame convulsing wildly from the sheer power of it all.
We lingered there for a full minute, locked in that tense, bizarre pose, our hearts pounding in wild unison against one another. Silence returned to the room, broken only by the faint, distant rain taps and the clock's steady tick on the nightstand.
Reality slammed back hard at last. With a slick, resounding pop, I withdrew from her and rose, legs wobbling like jelly. Snatching tissues, I wiped myself down in a panic, eyes flicking nervously to the door.
"We have to go," I gasped, voice trembling. "Now. Delilah, get up."
"No, you have to go. I need to clean this place up..."
She collapsed onto the mattress, appearing wrecked like after a massive crash. A weak, airy chuckle slipped out as her gaze began to sharpen.
"She’s going to wonder why you’re so sweaty, Evan," she murmured, her tone faint and ethereal.
"I’ll tell her the AC in the car broke," I grumbled, yanking on my jeans hastily. "Just... fix the bed. I’m leaving."
"Go on, be quick!" She said, "God, we really made a mess..."
No time for replies. Keys in hand, I peeked into the hallway, then dashed from the apartment. Taking the stairs two at a time, the chilly corridor air smacked my face. Reaching the car, my pulse still raced, but the scheme resumed. Ivy awaited pickup, and this secret scorched like fire in my chest.

It took me a moment to notice, but damn, I was loaded with credits after Delilah. Wealth overflowed.
Still, some needed spending to ditch the Villain tag. Not yet. K's issue was sorted temporarily. For now, I snagged ten "Good Boy" points to halt the Villain slide.

I scrubbed my face and eyed my reflection in the mirror. The morning dragged... torturously slow. We stirred around eleven, no work demanding us out. Plenty piled up, sure, but home handling worked fine.
And the weather? Pure misery.
Snow dumped relentlessly, as if heavens tore apart. Peering out, a heavy white shroud smothered the world, dulling all under its weight. Forecasts promised it'd clear soon, assuming they weren't lying.
Waiting was all we could do. Nothing else on deck.
Damn... a weather-fix item in the shop would've been gold. I'd snap it up without blinking. Hated trudging through such freezes.
"The breakfast is ready, Master," Minne’s voice drifted from the kitchen.
One final face splash, faucet off. "Yeah. Coming."

Solid progress toward the next level.
Villain tag supercharged EXP gains... yet good deeds brought brutal penalties.
Perfect balance. The shittiest kind.
Bathroom exit led me to the dining table.
Minne went basic today—neat toast stacks, hot scrambled eggs, cucumber-tomato bowl aside, tea kettle steaming with cozy aroma.
Simple fare. But perfect.
Glancing up, Minne hovered near the table—eyes puffy red, cheeks rosy.
Tessa, chair half-pulled beside me, froze. Brow furrowed, she approached Minne, palm to forehead.
"Damn, maid... you’re burning up."
"Y-yeah... sudden weather changes, Mrs. Tessa..." Minne muttered.
Head turned, she sneezed into her arm.
Perfect timing—Nala entered with ibuprofen strip. Pill dispensed, Minne nodded feebly, grabbing water.
"She’s been up since like six this morning," Nala said. "I made her take a cold shower—she was way too hot."
Minne gulped the pill. "Ogh... thank you, Mrs. Nolin..."
"You should lie down," Jasmine advised, settling next to me. "Rest until you feel better. We can handle things here."
Kim emerged from bathroom, hands dried, taking the seat opposite. "Yummy."
"I think I’ll... lie down... Master?" Minne asked softly.
"Yeah, of course," I replied. "You don’t need to ask me, honey."
"Thank you..."
"What happened to Minne?" Kim queried, forking a cucumber slice.
"She’s sick," Nala answered. "You didn’t hear her in the shower this morning?"
"No... I didn’t. I’m sorry, Minne. Hope you get better soon."
"Thank... you..."
Jasmine and Nala steered Minne to her room, supporting each side.
I observed briefly... then trailed after.
In the room, Jasmine eased Minne into bed, tucking the blanket. Mik the cat rubbed my ankles, leaped up, circled, and nestled by Minne protectively.
Minne smiled weakly, lids drooping.
"Evan," Jasmine whispered, eyeing me. "Can you bring her some water?"
"Yeah."
Nod given, kitchen run for a filled glass. Water swayed gently en route, no spills.
Nightstand placement done.
"Thanks," Jasmine breathed.
Quick nod, then we exited, door clicked shut softly.
About to return...
Buzz.
Phone buzzed in pocket. Screen check: Charlotte. Right, yesterday's text about business. She moved fast.
"Excuse me," I mumbled, slipping aside.
