What is suppressing the Paragons' natural conflict?
Previously on The Guardian gods...
Murmur confronts his son Chen, who has become a Paragon and taken the throne. Instead of his usual tyrannical approach, Murmur acts passively, confusing and terrifying Chen. Murmur then retreats to his hidden underground city, revealing that he has finished laying the groundwork for his plans. He acknowledges that the threat of Osita has been removed, clearing his path. Murmur also senses he is close to discovering a world anomaly and notes that the return of Keles and Ikenga has reshaped the world in unexpected ways, particularly the unnatural peace among the Paragons, which he suspects is being suppressed.
