A mysterious entity, Xiu, offered to help Shen Yanxiao undo the Seven Stars Locking Moon seal that suppressed her powers, in exchange for her assistance. Shen Yanxiao, wary of the entity's motives, pressed for details about their alliance. Xiu revealed that a soul agreement prevented him from harming her, as it would cause him significant damage. As a sign of sincerity, Xiu proceeded to undo the first layer of her seal, causing Shen Yanxiao to lose consciousness. She later awoke to find the Vermillion Bird clan's physician, Shen Qiu, by her side.

The previous 'Shen Yanxiao' had been a frequent patient of Shen Qiu, having been bullied so often by her siblings that her body was constantly covered in scars.

If there was anyone who didn't view Shen Yanxiao with constant criticism, Shen Qiu was certainly one of the few.

"Uncle Qiu." Shen Yanxiao blinked at him with a look of confusion, though a sharp shrewdness was concealed deep within her gaze.

Shen Qiu felt a wave of helplessness as he looked at the foolish Seventh Young Lady before him. Despite his inner pity, he maintained a gentle, smiling facade.
