Alec was upgrading his and Brandon's equipment to Tier 6 Spirit Equipment. He assessed his own combat strength, noting he could defeat a Low Tier 8 but struggle against a Mid Tier 8. Meanwhile, Titan and Saint entered a battle against an Orc Commander, a Tier 8 lifeform, supported by Orc Berserkers and Shamans. Titan immediately deployed his Ice Palace Domain, bolstering his allies while hindering enemies, and Saint received a buff to negate the domain's restraint.

The Berserkers split themselves, with ten of them leading the first attack, but before they could even land, Titan pushed out his left leg as though taking a kung fu stance.

In the next moment, long ice spikes protruded from the ground in the same arc where he had stretched out his leg, just like that, five orcs lunged straight into their deaths, their stomachs torn through by the spikes that had appeared directly in their path.

“Leave me some, would you!” Saint said as he dashed out.

Just then, the other five behind the ones that had just died forcefully leapt into the air.

Their movements looked as if they were stepping on invisible stairs in the sky, but in reality, they were compressing their Qi to allow themselves to air walk.

Though it was not as refined as mages using mana to float in midair, it at least gave the orcs the right burst of energy they needed to avoid being impaled by the same mistake as the first five.

But the moment they finally landed, they came face to face with Saint.

The first one to land lunged at him without the slightest trace of fear, swinging his axe out in a horizontal motion.

But with shocking ease, Saint also swung his sword to meet the axe. In an almost unstoppable motion, he smashed against the weapon’s weak point and cut the axe cleanly in two around the handle position.

This caused a look of surprise to appear on the orc’s face as he realized he had lost his weapon, but as his gaze rose from the broken half in his hand toward his opponent, he saw Saint’s left hand already pointing two fingers at him.

In the next second, a sword Qi flew toward him, that was the last thing he saw before his consciousness descended into darkness.

By the time Saint raised his head, the remaining four orcs already had small ice spikes protruding from their heads, dead on the spot, he turned to look at Titan, who merely shrugged.

In their realm, Tier 6 lifeforms literally did not mean much to them, all they had to do was conjure something and send it to do the job. Saint was the one who was hell-bent on fighting with sword moves, while Titan had no real interest in stressing himself over weaker opponents.

Boooommmmm!!!!

All of a sudden, a loud explosion rang out, though they were not greatly affected by it, the force still made them take half a step back, while also raising up their hands to cover their faces.

Steamy air clouded their view. Saint had already moved his claymore sword into his left hand, while he pushed his right hand forward, and three azure Qi swords appeared, floating before him like a fan.

Then he snapped his thumb and middle finger together, causing the Qi swords to start rotating as they moved forward, with that, the steam blocking their view was instantly cleared.

The half-spiked ice wall Titan had erected earlier, the same one he had used to take the lives of five orcs at the beginning, had been brought down.

And they could already tell it had been destroyed by the shamans beside the Commander, as all four of them still had their hands raised high into the sky, looking like they had just casted a co-join flaming spell to give the remaining Berserker Orcs a thorough access to them .

But even with the other ten Berserker Orcs dashing toward them, it was clear from how easily the first ten had been dealt with that this second group would not be worth much stress to the golems either.

Saint decided to move faster than Titan this time. With a flick of his hand, the three Qi swords that had cleared the fog split apart and shot forward, each one picking an orc and impaling straight through its neck.

On Titan’s side, two orcs were ahead of the rest that were charging toward him, he raised his right hand high before them, and an ice wall materialized behind the two, cutting off support from the other five behind them while Saint blocked their part when they turned around with sword Qi of different element revolving around him.

Even then, the two did not stop. With red eyes, they charged harder.

The moment they entered attacking range, Titan pushed out his left hand, which was holding the ice shield he had conjured, and slammed it into the orc attacking from his left.

This caused the orc to stumble slightly backward. However, at almost the exact same time, the orc on the right had also swung down at Titan.

Titan simply tilted his neck and allowed the axe to rest against his shoulder as he drove his right fist straight into the gut of the orc, sending it flying toward the ice wall he had erected earlier.

Just before the orc’s body slammed against the ice wall, Titan made a “come here” gesture with two fingers of his right hand, and a single ice spike protruded outward.

The moment the orc’s body crashed against the wall, it was impaled to death. The ice spike, which seemed to have been reinforced by compressed mana, pierced through its head with ease and came out of his mouth.

After doing this, Titan didn’t even take a break, he made a sharp turn toward the orc on his left, who had been moving to close in on him. As he turned, he canceled the conjured form of the ice shield on his left hand, but before the ice particles could disappear, he cast another spell.

“Ice Chain,” Titan said.

The ice particles sank straight into the ground, and when they emerged again, they had transformed into an ice chain that revolved around the orc and ensnared its body.

Though the orc tried to break free, it was unable to, because no matter how much friction the struggle caused against the ice chain, it kept repairing itself because the orc was still within the range of the ice domain.

Even the Qi surrounding its body, which it had been using to resist the domain’s debuff, started flickering as if it would soon break apart.

Titan simply walked over and swiped his left hand, causing another ice wall to protrude from the ground. However, this one was thick and stood at exactly the same height as the orc before him.

After closing the distance, Titan sent a light punch into the orc’s gut, as it bent slightly from the pain, Titan grabbed it by the neck and slammed its head against the ice wall he had erected.

This went on again and again and again.

By now, the ice block was already dyed red from the spot where Titan had been repeatedly slamming the orc’s head, when Titan finally turned, he saw a swirling wind surrounding Saint. And when it finally came to a stop, the remaining orcs fell.

Headless.

This time, Titan stared at the Orc Commander.

“Don’t insult us by sending your shamans over one by one. You and them can just come together. You’re meant to be a bad boss, so there’s no need to act all righteous and high above us just because we are Tier 7 golems.”

“Because believe me when I tell you, these Berserkers and shamans make no difference to us. Only Tier 8 lifeforms can truly threaten us. Isn’t that right, Saint?”

“Hey, speak for yourself. You just drag me along into all your problems, nothing more.” Saint might have been complaining but he was already taking a battle stance and raising his sword high.
