The Golem Mage Chapter 1118: A New Arc : Humanity Pillar
Previously on The Golem Mage...
Before the morning light fully broke, the residents of Estonia City had already completed the mourning rites for their fallen. Upon glimpsing Alec, many abandoned any notion of cremating the goblin corpses. Instead, the assorted clans that had engaged in the battle meticulously gathered the bodies claimed by their own members, presenting them to the Gordons Clan. They harbored hopes of receiving some form of recompense, much like they had at the auction. In sincerity, the actual reward was secondary; their primary aim was to incur a debt of gratitude from the Gordons.
As it was evident to all that the Gordons Clan was on an ascendant trajectory, numerous factions now sought to forge an alliance rather than remain neutral observers. Regardless of their underlying motives, Alec instructed his grandfather to accept all offerings and ensure nothing went to waste.

Subsequently, he elucidated to the elder his imminent departure for the Origin World and all the preparations that entailed. George, upon hearing this, was surprisingly jovial, a reaction quite contrary to Alec's expectations.
However, it became apparent that upon learning his grandson and their companions would be venturing beyond the Five Kingdom Continent, they resolved to organize a farewell celebration in their honor.
Meanwhile, Alec allocated a substantial quantity of pills and sets of spirit equipment. He also set aside cultivation pills for the clans that had offered their support. To his grandfather, he pledged to exert every effort to re-establish contact as swiftly as possible.
This was a genuine promise, stemming from a system mission he still needed to fulfill: to assume the role of his clan's Patriarch within a year. Having received this directive two months prior, he had only ten months remaining.
He even informed his grandfather that if he failed to return by the ninth month, his name should be inscribed on the family tree as the Patriarch.
Although the old man found Alec's pronouncements peculiar, he nevertheless nodded and vowed to honor his wishes. When he protested that Alec need not leave so many pills, especially after his previous generosity, Alec merely reassured him not to fret, stating he could procure more himself.
Observing his imminent departure, with no certainty of his return date, Alec felt that the most significant contribution he could make to his clan was to bestow upon them all the pills he possessed.
From his discourse with the Patriarch, he understood that the elder was nearing the threshold of the Tier 8 realm, signifying an impending augmentation of the clan's collective might. Before departing, Alec utilized the system's analyze skill to draft the Tier 8 evolution trajectories for his grandfather's three golems. He also handed over the rare materials he had procured from the system store – specifically, the resources George required to advance the golems to their next stage.
The elder was intensely curious about how Alec had acquired such rare and scarce commodities, let alone how he had devised such a comprehensive upgrade pathway for the golems.
These included routes that could facilitate the evolution of all three golems to Tier 8, with the potential for them to achieve Lord-rank status, mirroring Alec's own golems. Such an achievement would empower them to manifest ten lesser golems sharing their intrinsic characteristics.
Merely perusing the manual his grandson had prepared, George began to suspect that Alec must have endured considerable hardship to formulate these pathways. Had Alec been privy to his grandfather's thoughts, he would have concurred wholeheartedly.
Each of these intricate pathways had exacted a toll of approximately one million system points for the system to deduce their evolutionary progression, and this figure did not even encompass the cost of acquiring the majority of the resources needed to propel them to the subsequent realm.
And so, the system points he had been accumulating to facilitate the upgrades for both himself and Brandon's spirit equipment sets vanished, though regret was absent.
He derived considerable satisfaction from being able to undertake such an act for his grandfather.

By the afternoon, all farewells had been exchanged with due solemnity. Alec found himself enduring hugs from each of the Gordons clan elders, every one of them expressing some form of lament regarding his departure.
Yet, ultimately, they all seemed to reconcile themselves to his necessity of leaving, irrespective of their personal sentiments.
Brandon engaged in extensive discussions with his father, who promised to reveal the identity of his mother's clan upon his return.
Concurrently, Arthur and the Third Elder continued their bickering until the moment of departure arrived. The elder then enveloped his grandson in a powerful embrace, quietly slipping a small spatial ring into Arthur’s palm before closing the young man's hand over it.
Agnes's father practically wailed at the thought of his daughter's departure, while her elder sister offered a simple hug goodbye. With those farewells concluded, they stepped into the Space Axis, which promptly teleported them back to the Capital City.
Upon their arrival, the remaining members of their team were already waiting nearby the capital’s space axis. As the deadline set by the envoys was fast approaching, they had opted to stay closer to the teleportation stations.
Fortunately, their timing was impeccable; they had neither arrived too late nor missed their transport. Making their way swiftly toward the Grand Royal Arena, they observed that the other mages who had secured a spot within the top hundred were also in attendance.
Before long, Old Man Alderic approached. Alec, in a casual gesture, placed a few pill bottles filled with mental pills into the old man's hand, completely catching him by surprise.
"Why must you always try to belittle me? That wasn't even the reason I came over; I was about to offer you all some advice," Old Man Alderic declared, lifting his chin with an air of genuine sincerity.
"Oh, really? In that case, kindly return them," Alec responded, his expression unyielding. Instantly, Alderic's body stiffened in shock, and he comically raised his hands and legs as though he had encountered a specter.
"Hey! You know I'm only joking, right?" Old Man Alderic attempted to laugh it off nervously, a ploy that Alec finally decided to accept.
"All top hundred students, board the ship now!" The resonant voice of one of the four envoys echoed, drawing the attention of everyone present toward the sky, where a new vessel had materialized, hovering gracefully in mid-air.
"Magnificent," many murmured, while others had already begun to ascend towards the ship.
"I suppose this is our signal to depart. Until we meet again, old man," Alec bid farewell as he commenced his flight towards the ship, his War God team members in close pursuit.
"When you reach the Origin Realm—no, whenever you find yourselves in a position to lend aid, never hesitate. Remember that you are all disciples of the War God Academy, and we have placed immense hope in each of you. Do not let your clan ties or any other affiliation come between you," Old Man Alderic transmitted his final counsel to his students using his mental powers before they all boarded.
Just before boarding the ship, Alec glanced back towards Alderic's position and offered a nod, which elicited a smile from the old man. Although the message was directed at all of them, it was primarily intended for Alec.
He was implicitly asking Alec to watch over the other team members, even those who did not share his clan lineage. Soon, all the students had embarked, and three of the envoys each tossed a mid-sized space stone forward.
After a period of levitation, the stones collided in the center before separating, this time creating a spatial tear that evolved into a colossal purple-black portal. It was undeniably the most expansive portal Alec had ever witnessed, and the spaceship, already suspended in the air, plunged directly into its depths.
