Levi and his friends discreetly depart Earth under Dominic’s watch, entering the vibrant and immense territory owned by Jasmine. After marveling at the alien landscape, they are surprised by surprisingly cozy yet magical homes Jasmine creates for them. As they settle in, Levi and Jasmine consider revealing the full truth of their dangerous circumstances to their friends, but Levi hesitates, wanting to test their resilience first.

A couple of hours later...

Levi departed from the group, utilizing a dimensional gate to reach his private studio apartment situated in Nocturn’s Heart City. The young ladies, assuming he sought solitude within Jasmine’s domain, did not press him for details; they were oblivious to his personal studio existing elsewhere.

Once settled back home, Levi assumed a cross-legged position on his bed and inhaled deeply. Without any hesitation, he materialized a dimensional screen to access his D-mail inbox.

He disregarded the thousands of recruitment offers flooding his inbox and directly accessed the search bar.

There, he entered the term ’Wish.’

Instantly, a singular D-mail, distinct from the others, ascended to the top of the list. Solidifying his final decision regarding the wish, Levi selected the mail.

A dazzling radiance erupted from the screen, coalescing into a mystical, circular hex. This hex materialized on the floor, its rotation accelerating until a peculiar, prismatic mist began to emanate from its core, gradually forming into a colossal Genie!

Its imposing and singular form left no doubt that it was no ordinary elemental Genie. Its essence materialized as a humanoid void, comprised of a billion celestial bodies in constant motion, stellar bodies swirling and impacting within its translucent being like a cosmic map.

It possessed no discernible face, only a smooth, unblemished mask crafted from obsidian-like crystals. The surface was so profoundly dark and polished that it seemed to absorb all light, reflecting instead the very soul, akin to gazing into a mirror that unveiled every hidden truth.

Levi’s harmonic spine resonated deeply, capturing the Genie’s overwhelming and mystical cosmic aura perfectly, imprinting a somber expression upon his face.

Despite the golden bracelets and heavy collar adorning the Genie, symbols of its servitude to both Platforms, these restraints failed to diminish its formidable, otherworldly presence.

’An Omnithar Genie… a neutral entity possessing the capacity to grant nearly any aspiration within the universal laws…' Levi whispered to himself, utterly captivated by the spectacle.

He was aware that the genesis of most Genies was intrinsically tied to their fundamental essence: be it blood, fire, water, air, or earth.

Conversely, the Omnithar Genie was theorized to have emerged during the primordial formation of the universe, a time when all energies coalesced into a singular, unadulterated source.

Consequently, its Wish Aspect granted it the ability to manifest desires that transcended elemental limitations, allowing it to interact with more abstract concepts.

Its profound uniqueness was underscored by its lack of visible eyes. The number of eyes a Genie displayed typically indicated its rank and potency, with one eye signifying the lowest tier and nine representing the highest. Yet, this Genie showed none.

The Omnithar Genie issued its command with utter detachment, its voice echoing twice in Levi’s ears like a celestial thunderclap.

"I require you to utilize the souls contained within this Lantern to forge a permanent and distinct soul, mirroring my own, which shall serve for the purpose of contractual agreements."

Levi articulated his wish while simultaneously summoning the Lantern of the Lost Keeper, ensuring his request was exceptionally detailed to preclude any interpretation loopholes. He had previously learned of numerous Rifters who had squandered their wishes due to minor technicalities in their stipulations. In his specific case, the Genie could potentially bifurcate its own essence or manifest a transient soul if the wish lacked precise definition.

’Hmm? Why has communication ceased? Could my wish prove too demanding?’

Swiftly, Levi’s look of anticipation morphed into bewilderment as he observed the Genie standing motionless and unresponsive. He understood that Genies typically responded with either outright acceptance or denial, with no middle ground.

This unusual turn of events even caught the Titan and Ash’Kral off guard.

’Is this behavior typical?’

’No,’ Ash’Kral responded with a frown. ’Genies adhere strictly to the established precepts… lack of response is most irregular.’

At this revelation, Levi’s brow furrowed as he carefully observed the Genie. He immediately sensed the entity’s focused attention fixated upon the Lantern.

Intrigued, Levi shifted the Lantern to his left; his growing suspicion was confirmed as the Omnithar Genie tracked the movement with its head.

’Ash…’

’Do not inquire of me,’ Ash’Kral’s expression turned thoughtful. ’I am equally perplexed… this predicament is exceedingly fascinating.’

Levi remained uncertain about the underlying cause but felt a distinct unease due to his wish remaining unfulfilled. He had no way of ascertaining if the Genie had malfunctioned or if it had detected something within the Lantern that had eluded their prior notice. Regardless, the Genie held the sole key to the answer, and Levi was unwilling to expend his wish on a mere inquiry.

’Wait… I cannot vocalize my queries, but perhaps I can connect with its sentiments… assuming it possesses any.’

Without a moment’s delay, Levi summoned the Requiem of Hope and Despair, positioning the violin against his shoulder.

Gradually, he filtered out the cacophony of the surrounding world until all else faded into oblivion, leaving only himself, the spectral Omnigenie, and the ethereal Lantern within a void of absolute darkness.

Levi drew his bow across the strings, producing a melody almost imperceptible to the ear, yet its quietude was of no consequence. His compositions were not intended for auditory perception; he was playing a frequency precisely calibrated to probe the depth of the soul and its emotions.

He projected a gentle sonic wave, attempting to resonate with the Genie’s emotional state. However, the soundwave rebounded as if striking an impenetrable barrier, its frequencies instantly dispersed.

The Omnithar felt as vacant and frigid as the void, an unyielding entity that denied all access. Yet, Levi persisted. He sensed that the Omnithar Genie yearned to convey something, but was bound by an oath, unable to speak until specific commands were uttered.

Levi adjusted his hold and altered the sonic pitch, introducing sharper, more insistent tones. He amplified the sound, enveloping the prismatic Genie in his frequencies like a gentle embrace of tranquil ocean waves.

Several minutes elapsed. Small beads of perspiration dotted Levi’s brow as he battled against the Genie’s formidable defenses.

Despite his strenuous efforts, Levi began to suspect he might have employed an ineffective strategy. Just as he contemplated abandoning the attempt, his heart gave an unexpected leap.

He detected it—a faint tremor within the Genie’s frequency matrix. It was so minuscule that it was almost imperceptible. Nevertheless, Levi tightened his grip on the bow, drawing it across the strings and unleashing a high-pitched note that sent shivers down the spine, aimed directly at the subtle flicker.

Instantly, the flicker surged, blossoming into an overwhelming torrent of raw emotion. The sudden outpouring caught Levi off guard, manifesting as a wild, vibrant cascade of feelings that starkly contrasted with the Genie’s impassive demeanor.

The moment his senses connected with these emotions, he was engulfed by a profound, spirit-crushing despair—the kind born from an eternal confinement devoid of any hope.

The intensity was so staggering that it constricted Levi’s chest, leaving him gasping for air. Yet, he steeled himself and continued playing. He played relentlessly, his music piercing the veil of despair until it reached a nascent spark of hope.

When this spark was translated into frequencies, Levi gazed in astonishment to find them intertwined with the Lantern; it was as if the Genie harbored a deep desire to enter it.

Without delay, Levi lifted the bow from the strings, abruptly terminating the emotional link.

The crushing weight of that despair was simply too immense; he felt as though his mind was on the verge of shattering.

After a brief, shared silence...

‘This…’

Levi’s gaze remained fixed on the unmoving Omnithar Genie, his heart pounding erratically. He formulated several hypotheses regarding the implications of his discovery. However, deep down, he knew only one conclusion held true—a conclusion that ought to be recognized not as a theory, but as an undeniable fact.

‘Ash… am I imagining things, or does the Genie seem to believe that I might be able to release it using my Lantern?’ Levi inquired, his voice betraying a hint of tremor.
