The Glorious Evolution Chapter 419 Unkillable.
Previously on The Glorious Evolution...
'Tsk... Fang is going overboard.'
Irritation made the Hound click his tongue, yet soon a subtle smirk tugged at his lips.
'Perfect... should Fang and Rain botch this easy task, Master will turn to none other than me. No more cold treatment for me.'
The Hound was aware these two wouldn't fall to mere kids, but... fantasies cost nothing.
In the meantime, the Bishop stayed calm... even with Arthur rescued, his face showed no emotion. He understood Fang could overplay his hand, but if the mission's victory seemed threatened, he'd get deadly serious.
"Orry'Xel faces dire straits! Suddenly, it's six against one! Will he pull through?!"
Gamemaster Envy hyped up the rescue triumph with fervor, zooming in on Fang. Spectators gasped seeing Fang utterly composed.
"Quite the shock... did your captain pull off this sneaky save?" Fang grinned, unconcerned by Shia's shadow ultimate trapping his form.
"Sunflower Cage!"
In reply, shadowy sunflowers burst from the ground below him as Michael hurled seeds his way. Their stems and leaves coiled over his frame, squeezing limbs and throat so tight his muscles vanished from view.
At the same time, Nadal, Blake, Rakai, and Tyrese charged up their strongest moves... Tyrese chugged three toasts at once, ignoring the drunken haze it brought. Once done, he swiped his mouth and positioned before the bound Fang, muscles writhing wildly under his flesh. A drunken smile hung on his lips, failing to hide the icy gleam in his gaze.
He instantly closed in on Fang and unleashed a full-power gut punch.
Booom!!
Just the shockwave shredded the shadowy sunflowers!
Boom! Boom! Boom!...
But Tyrese had barely begun... he hammered away with unending punches and kicks, speeding up with every hit. Amid the savage onslaught, Nurah held Fang locked tight.
Sweat dripped from her brow while she fought to sustain the shadow link... she was certain Fang absorbed every punishing strike raw, unable to dodge or soften the brutal force.
"Orry'Xel bleeds profusely! The beating wears him down!" Gamemaster Envy bellowed. "Will his team just watch this thrashing till he drops?!"
Xorr'Vaedryn and his squad paid no heed to Fang's plight, rushing to resurrect their undead horde... undisturbed, they surpassed a hundred undead and kept summoning extras.
After the first army's wipeout, they refused further gambles, even at the cost of nearly all their energy.
"This one's for Ponytail!"
Tyrese let out a feral roar, slamming a explosive fist into Fang's face that splattered blood all around... panting heavily from fatigue, Tyrese watched as Fang hung his head low. Blood poured endlessly from his features, with light bruises emerging over his skin.
Three toasts fueled Tyrese's near-mad power... one solid hit from him could slay any Daywalker or Nightwalker here.
Still, his furious barrage only left minor bruises and a bloody nose, highlighting Fang's absurd toughness.
"Damn... he's still alive," Rakai scowled. "What kind of freak is he?"
"Boss, step aside! I got this!!"
Blake moved ahead of Fang, lashing his electric whip to coil around Fang's neck super tight... then yelled, "Final Discharge!"
Electricity exploded from Blake's frame... it rushed along the whip into Fang, frying him nonstop till his fur bristled and burnt hair stench filled the air. But Fang hardly flinched... he took the shocks in total silence.
"What the hell... how's he surviving?!" Blake's face twisted in disgust. "That zap could cripple a Tier 5 Nightcrawler!"
'I'll attempt to yank him off the rope! Get set to boot him clear!'
Nurah issued the command as soon as she saw no other paths... the rope finished its rotation, so for this plan to work, they needed his fall guaranteed. To her, regardless of his monstrous physique, he couldn't break game physics or defy gravity.
Nadal and the rest instantly geared up for fresh attack waves as Nurah focused utterly on prying Fang's claws loose from the rope.
Yet, she was quickly stunned to find Fang utterly unmoved by her order... She peered at her shadow, confirming its firm attachment, and still... nothing happened.
Raising her gaze, her heart chilled to the core seeing Fang's lips curve into a malevolent grin as he leisurely licked the blood off them... But the true horror for her lay in the savage pulsing of his veins, swelling and surging under his skin like a infernal machine roaring within.
Right in front of her, his bulging muscles started shrinking and contracting, wilting in a macabre flip of power. The colossal Alpha werewolf diminished and warped, his mighty build crumbling into a skeletal, withered figure... however, the crushing aura surrounding him intensified further!
It seemed their torment had only served to stir the true monster awake...
'Retreat now!!!'
Nurah cried out in panic while devoting all her attention to sustaining the shadow bindings for precious seconds... Heeding her urgent call, Nadal and the others swiftly chose to halt their offensive and follow her lead.
They scattered immediately, bolting in separate paths away from Fang... but Fang simply took one step ahead, snapping the shadow tie with ease.
Then... he vanished.
His velocity was blinding; Nurah only detected a subtle iron tang wafting beneath her nose and a dying echo: I will leave you last.
Nurah stood petrified, her heart pounding furiously as though eager to leap from her throat and escape. Ages had passed since such raw fear had enveloped Nurah's mind and soul.
For all her assassin expertise and gifts, she understood that if Fang desired her death, she'd have perished the very moment he blurred past her, unseen by her eyes!
Slice! Slice!...
All at once, Nurah recoiled from the sharp sounds of two fierce, rapid gashes ripping the air at her back... Whipping her head around, her dark pupils dilated in shock at the nightmarish view ahead.
The headless corpses of Michael and Nadal swung by their ankles from Fang's chain blades... Their detached heads rested close by, faces still showing hints of bewilderment, as if unaware of their own passing.
The strike came so fast that even decapitated, they hadn't grasped what befell them...
Tyrese, Blake, Rakai, Shia, Evangeline, Jojo, Mira, and the other Daywalkers gaped in shock at Fang casually yanking the two headless forms closer... Yet prior to reaching him, the bodies shriveled into pale, mummified remains, drained dry like by a bloodsucker.
Gazes locked onto the chained fangs, spotting their points buried deep in the flesh... Icy shudders raced along Nurah's spine, the group now comprehending that the Fang they'd clashed with hadn't unleashed any skills.
"Now... who's next? I need some fresh blood to restore my beautiful appearance."
A faint smile played on Fang's lips as he idly swept his finger across the surviving Daywalkers one by one, like appraising herd animals... To him, they were just livestock penned in with a famished beast.
