Yang Ruxin prepares to return home after the fifteenth day of the first lunar month. Unexpectedly, a scholar named Guan Qingshu visits, looking more mature than before. He expresses joy at seeing Yang Ruxin and asks to see her triplets, gifting them intricately carved snake-shaped seals.

Yang Ruxin nodded, "Then I’ll thank Qingshu Uncle on behalf of my three little beans."

Guan Qingshu was momentarily stunned, feeling a flood of bitterness in his heart spreading uncontrollably, but he couldn’t show it and had to maintain a smiling face, which was really suffocating. Although he was reluctant to leave, he was afraid of losing composure, so he hurriedly took his leave.

"Big sister, he still hasn’t given up on you, has he?" Erni watched Guan Qingshu’s departing figure and sighed lightly.

"That’s his problem." Yang Ruxin patted Erni’s head, "It’s up to him to be worried and sigh, why are you sighing?"

Erni quickly pushed Yang Ruxin’s hand away, "I’m just sighing for him. If only he’d realized this earlier, he looks quite pitiable now."

"Pitiable?"

"But everyone who is pitiable must have faults, so he deserves it. Anyway, if this is the kind of brother-in-law I’d have, I wouldn’t like it."

Yang Ruxin laughed out loud, "There is no ’what if’. Now, quickly go pick up Mengmeng and the others."

Gao Fei has been inviting Xiaofeng and the others to the Duke Residence for a visit, and they went early this morning.

"I’ll be going now." Erni nodded, took Xiaoyun, and headed out. Within two hours, she returned with her siblings, but they were accompanied by Gao Fei, the Cui family’s eldest grandson Cui Hou, and the second son Cui Xun from the Duke Residence.

Yang Ruxin was no stranger to the two boys from the Cui family. Cui Hou was the eldest grandson of the Cui family, destined to inherit the title, and was once one of Xu Huairui’s cherished ones. Cui Xun was the eldest grandson of the second branch of the Cui family, ranked second in this generation, and always followed Brother Cui Hou.

Yang Ruxin naturally hoped her siblings would interact more with them, as these kids were full of positive energy. However, her group of youngsters seemed to be in low spirits, yet with outsiders present, Yang Ruxin refrained from asking, instead urging them to bathe and rest.

Gao Fei followed Xiaofeng, as he often ends up sharing Xiaofeng’s bed these days. Xiaofeng once disliked it but later indulged him, so Gao Fei became quite comfortable around them.

"Young Master Cui, did something happen?" Yang Ruxin looked at the sitting boy and raised an eyebrow slightly.

"Sis Ruxin, you might know we have a younger sister, right?" Cui Hou didn’t beat around the bush, "Her name is Cui Fangfang, brought back by my grandmother who claimed she has amnesia."

Yang Ruxin nodded, "I’ve heard a bit."

"Today," Cui Hou hesitated for a moment, "Mengmeng and the others met Fangfang and were all shocked, Lanlan even called her sister."

"Really?" Yang Ruxin smiled, "Could it be a case of mistaken identity? After all, there are many people who look similar in this world. Lanlan and the others are young; getting it wrong is normal."

Cui Hou gave a bitter smile, "Sis Ruxin, but Mengmeng almost hit her, and Dabao injured my fourth brother."

Yang Ruxin’s brows furrowed, "Why is that?"

"You’d have to ask Mengmeng and Dabao about that."

Yang Ruxin’s eyes flashed, then she looked at Chai Qin, "Go and call Mengmeng and the others over."

Chai Qin nodded and went out.

Soon, a bunch of youngsters came in together.

"Mengmeng, Young Master Cui said you almost hit Miss Cui, and Dabao injured Cui family’s fourth young master; is that what happened?" Yang Ruxin looked at Sanni.
