The Eternal Supreme Chapter 5

Previously on The Eternal Supreme...
Yunxiao compelled Jia Rong to find rare ingredients within three days, threatening his ability to craft if he failed. Meanwhile, Lu Yao informed Liang Wenyu of Yunxiao's list of unusual ingredients, sparking Liang Wenyu's interest. At Jialan Academy, Yunxiao's friends Chen Zhen and Han Bai were confronted by Du Feng and Luo Jie, leading to a tense standoff where Yunxiao challenged Du Feng despite his lack of cultivation.

AWOOOO!

A piercing shriek of agony sliced through the air, nearly shattering the eardrums of everyone nearby. The heart-wrenching scream was so intense that it allowed the onlookers to vividly imagine the sheer torment the victim was suffering.

What startled the crowd most was that the cry originated from Du Feng. Since his back was turned to the spectators, the exact cause remained a mystery. All they witnessed was his frame shuddering violently before he collapsed slowly toward the earth.

“Du Feng!”

As Luo Jie let out a horrified shout, Du Feng finally hit the dirt. His body convulsed as his trembling hands clutched his groin. He continued to howl and wail, sounding like a hog being led to the slaughter.

It was only then that the observers noticed Yunxiao calmly retracting his right leg. As it turned out, he had delivered a swift kick to Du Feng’s most sensitive area…

Meeting the gazes filled with disbelief and dread, Yunxiao opened his palms in a helpless gesture, wearing a mask of pure innocence. “You all witnessed him charging at me to start a fight. I simply raised my right knee. I never anticipated he would propel himself directly into it. Sigh, what a stroke of misfortune!”

“It was a knee strike! That’s brutal!”

Every male student in the vicinity shuddered, instinctively shielding their own crotches with their hands.

Luo Jie’s knuckles popped as he clenched his fists in a rage. “Li Yunxiao! You are far too cruel! Using such a low-handed move against a fellow student is despicable!”

“You shouldn’t be so unreasonable,” Yunxiao replied with a guileless look. “As everyone saw, he ran right into me. There are dozens of students here who can act as witnesses.”

“You!”

Luo Jie was so consumed by fury that he was left speechless. Technically, the event had unfolded exactly as Yunxiao described, and even he couldn't find a flaw in the logic. Yet, how could such a bizarre accident occur?

The same thought echoed through the minds of the crowd. ‘Indeed, that fellow basically threw himself onto the knee. What a freak—trying to assault someone only to end up destroying his own manhood. This is truly bizarre!’

“Regardless of your excuses, you won't escape today!” Luo Jie barked. “I will shatter your limbs and ruin your manhood to pay Du Feng back!”

His form blurred as he lunged forward. However, he seemed wary; instead of a direct frontal assault like Du Feng, he circled to the flank and threw a heavy punch!

The fist tore through the air, carrying a force exceeding a thousand catties!

“What a strike! So this is the power of a senior apprentice warrior! That kid is finished!”

“The seven chakras are blocked at the fifth. Once you push past it, you become a senior apprentice warrior. I wonder how many chakras this guy has actually unsealed!”

“With a thousand catties of force, he likely just opened the fifth chakra. Still, that’s more than enough to crush that boy.”

“Yunxiao, dodge!” Han Bai shouted in terror, throwing his own fists forward to intervene. Even though he was no match for Luo Jie, a punch might only break his bones. If someone as frail as Yunxiao took that hit, it would be fatal.

CLANG!

Yunxiao grabbed the handle of the black iron sword embedded in the soil and hoisted it up, leveling the tip toward Luo Jie. The massive blade seemed far too heavy for him; he looked strained and wobbly, as if a mere breeze might topple him over.

BAM!

A dull thud vibrated from the sword as Luo Jie’s fist slammed directly into the edge of the blade!

“NO! PLEASE! STOP! I was wrong! Spare me, Young Master Yun!”

A high-pitched scream rang out. The crowd watched as Luo Jie cradled his blood-soaked right fist with his left hand. Agony surged through his arm, but the realization that his fingers had likely shattered under the impact terrified him even more.

Han Bai froze mid-charge, completely stunned by the turn of events.

“What just happened?”

By this point, even the dimmest observer realized something was amiss.

“Is he insane? Does he think he can punch a sword with bare flesh just because he possesses Primordial Qi?”

“Who could be that stupid? I think there is something strange about that kid with the sword!”

“I agree. However, that boy clearly has no Primordial Qi. He looks exhausted just holding that black iron sword. Furthermore, I saw it clearly—Luo Jie threw his fist right onto the tip of the blade!”

“Yeah, it’s just like the first guy. How bizarre!”

The onlookers whispered in shock. Their eyes could not perceive the hidden truth behind the encounter. Even though Yunxiao lacked physical strength, he retained the profound insight of a Martial Sovereign who had once reached the peak of the Nine Heavens Realm. He had simply calculated the trajectory of Luo Jie’s punch and placed the sword tip in its path at the moment of no return.

‘Hmph! If I can’t handle a couple of apprentice warriors, I might as well end it now!’ He scoffed internally. Resting the massive sword on his shoulder, he walked toward Luo Jie. “Since you dared to target my friends, I’ll take both of your hands!” With those words, he swung the blade downward with force.

Luo Jie felt the impending strike, but horror gripped him as he realized the sword—despite its slow appearance—blocked every possible retreat. It felt as though he were a piece of meat on a block, completely exposed. He had never felt this helpless, even when facing warriors of the Origin Realm!

“NO! PLEASE! NO! I’ve made a mistake! Please spare me, Young Master Yun!”

The heavy blade slammed into his left fist, sending a spray of blood into the air. Now, both of his hands were mangled.

“You wanted to kill me? Then let’s see you lose your manhood!”

“NO! PLEASE! NO! I’ve made a mistake! Please spare me, Young Master Yun!”

BAM!

The sword collided with Luo Jie’s crotch. The resulting thud made every male student present wince, their skin turning cold from shared phantom pain.

“Br-bro-brother, why did he just stand there and let him hit him?”

“I… I have no idea. Let’s just get out of here. This kid is way too violent… we should leave before we get dragged into this! I think I just peed myself… let’s go!”

“And you!” Yunxiao approached the writhing Du Feng and used the sword to sever the meridians in both of his wrists. Just like his companion, Du Feng promptly blacked out from the shock of the pain.

“Li… Li Yunxiao, is that… is that really you?” Ruxue finally found her voice, staring at the carnage in total disbelief.

“Young Master Yun, have your meridians been cleared? Have you opened your chakras?” Chen Zhen asked, his face lighting up with hope.

Yunxiao shook his head and let out a sigh. “It isn't that simple.”

Chen Zhen blinked, confused. He gestured to the two unconscious men. “Then how did you do that?”

Knowing he couldn't explain the concepts of high-level combat to them, Yunxiao chuckled. “Didn't you see? They simply ran into me on their own.”

Chen Zhen was at a loss for words. “They did run into you, but… but this is just…”

Yunxiao cut him off with a dismissive wave. “You’ll understand eventually. I’m heading back to the dorms. When the school looks into this, there are plenty of witnesses to tell them what happened.” Carrying the heavy sword over his shoulder, he began walking away.

“This…” Chen Zhen stood there, stunned. It felt as though Yunxiao had undergone a total transformation—not just in ability, but in his very soul.

“Yunxiao, even with witnesses, crippling them with a sword will cause major problems!” Ruxue shouted after him. “The Du and Luo families are rivals of your family. They will use this as an excuse to attack!”

Yunxiao paused for a moment, then laughed without looking back. “If they want to cause trouble, I’ll just destroy their manhoods too… one by one!”

Ruxue’s face turned bright red as she stomped her foot. “That Li Yunxiao is so crude! And why is he so different now? He’s caused a disaster, yet he acts like it’s nothing… he’s infuriating!”

“Du Feng and Luo Jie are part of those families, but they aren't the main heirs,” Han Bai noted thoughtfully. “Given Young Master Yun’s background, crippling them shouldn't be a death sentence. I doubt their families would openly challenge the Li Family. My fear is they might target him personally. If that happens, he’s in trouble.”

Chen Zhen snorted. “They wouldn't dare pull that in the academy! Killing a student here is a faster way to die than picking a fight with the Li Family!”

“Outsiders wouldn't dare,” Han Bai agreed, frowning. “But if it’s another student doing the dirty work, the academy might look the other way.”

Ruxue’s expression paled. “You mean Lan Fei?”

Han Bai nodded grimly. “Everyone knows Du Feng is one of Lan Fei’s lackeys. Lan Fei has already unsealed his seventh chakra and is on the verge of forming Primordial Qi to enter the Warrior Realm!”

The faces of Ruxue and Chen Zhen darkened. A true Warrior was worlds apart from an apprentice, and Yunxiao wasn't even a Cultivator yet!

The trio talked for a while longer but couldn't find a way to help. Eventually, they left the scene, sighing in worry.

The students at Jialan Academy were either the elite youth of the state or the children of powerful nobles like Li Yunxiao. Consequently, the halls were filled with both geniuses and spoiled fools.

The Li Family held massive influence over the Tianshui State military. Because of this, even though Yunxiao had been sidelined by his family due to his poor physique, he still possessed a private dormitory and a personal cultivation chamber.

“Phew!”

Yunxiao dropped the black iron sword and began a series of stretches and poses to loosen his joints and muscles.

“This frame is pathetic… I need to strengthen it immediately. The Tyrant Body Tempering Technique is the premier method for physical refinement in existence… I acquired it too late in my previous life and died before I could use it. Now, it’s the perfect foundation!”

He grunted as he moved into a deep squat, leaning his torso forward. Suddenly, he arched his spine backward until his hands gripped the back of his legs, his body forming a loop as a peculiar aura began to radiate from him.

“HA!”

An agonizing sensation shot from his spine to his brain, feeling as though he were being sliced in half. The pain was too much for his current state. His face went white as his muscles failed him. His body snapped forward, causing him to lose his footing and stumble back several steps before he collapsed onto the floor.
