The Eternal Supreme Chapter 2404 - 2405: 2405-unexpected person

Previously on The Eternal Supreme...
Yunxiao faced a poignant farewell as Lingmu di and Beiming Nan transcended, entrusting him with the future alongside Ding Ling’er. Returning to the Holy Region, he reunited with beloved companions who were both relieved and saddened by the trials he recounted, particularly concerning the ancient God Maha. Amidst the emotional gathering, Zhuo Qingfan revealed critical information about the upcoming cosmic events and the necessity for strength as they prepared for the upcoming heavenly Dao fruit meet, emphasizing the elusive path to becoming an eternal Supreme. The looming challenges and stakes have never been higher, binding their fates together as they look towards the horizon of a new adventure.

The arbiter was stunned. Yunxiao’s words were logical; if Yuan persisted in seeking vengeance, she would be the one to suffer the consequences.

Unaware that Yunxiao intended to depart, the judge believed that while the Heavenly Martial Realm possessed several peak powerhouses, Yuan was likely the sole remaining force in the Devil Realm. Furthermore, their primary combatants had been decimated at Cang Xuan Mountain. If a conflict between the two worlds erupted, the Devil Realm would almost certainly face annihilation.

“Very well! I will guide you there, though I cannot predict the conclusion. I only hope for a favorable outcome.”

The referee finally let out a sigh, forced to concede the point.

The Super Teleportation Formation was soon engaged, sending the group directly toward the Desolate Ancient Fearsome Region.

Days later, a rift opened in a desolate wasteland, and the four figures emerged one by one.

Scanning the surroundings with his Divine Sense, Yunxiao remarked with surprise, “Is this truly the Archaeus Region?”

The referee nodded in confirmation. “Lord Li indeed has a sharp eye. We are within the Archaeus Region. However, with Liu Chi dead, this territory has withered and declined. It is slowly merging back into the greater Desolate Ancient Fearsome Region; the ancient region will soon cease to exist.”

Using an astrolabe to navigate, the referee led the way forward.

After two more days, they arrived at a cluster of structures. These buildings appeared incredibly ancient, though they were interspersed with newer constructions clearly added in recent times.

“It appears the Archaeus Region was inhabited even before Six-Winged arrived,” Yunxiao noted suddenly.

“Indeed,” Shang replied. “It seems to belong to a very primitive tribe, though I am unfamiliar with the specifics.”

Previously, Liu Chi had manifested the Saint Devil Hall in this location. With the hall now gone, the remaining buildings were scattered and lacked a central focus.

Hovering in the air, the referee performed a hand seal and cast it toward the ground below. Demonic light rippled outward like water. He then sent a voice transmission: “Yuan, it is Yi. Yunxiao requests an audience.”

He called out several times, yet there was no reply. He couldn't help but scowl in confusion.

“Has something occurred?” Yunxiao inquired.

“How could that be?” Yi chuckled. “Given Yuan’s prowess, it is difficult to imagine anything happening to her.”

Yunxiao nodded slightly. Remaining silent, he expanded his Divine Sense to probe the earth below.

Suddenly, his expression shifted. In a flash, he descended upon a ruined structure. The building had once been massive; even though only rubble remained, its former glory was still visible.

As Yi and the others landed, Yi remarked in shock, “Judging by the scale, this must have been the primary palace.”

Yunxiao raised his hand, and a bolt of purple lightning flickered at his fingertip, slicing through the air like a blade.

The space was rent asunder by his fingers, revealing a deep, hidden passage.

“This is...”

Yi was equally startled. “I didn’t realize a secret chamber existed. Yuan is likely inside, which explains why she didn't hear me.”

The fissure was wide enough for one person, and the four entered in single file.

The corridor was crude. As they progressed, wall lamps ignited automatically, each carved into the shape of a terrifying and ferocious beast head.

Yunxiao halted abruptly. “Master Yi, do you recognize these beast carvings on the walls?”

Yi shook his head. “I recognize none of them. It is quite strange. Could they be species extinct since ancient times?”

Yunxiao pointed toward a massive statue ahead. “Look at that.”

They reached the end of the tunnel, entering a space of about half an acre. There stood a monstrous statue with a beast’s head and a human body. It gripped a saber in its right hand and held a shield by its side in the left.

“The Agama Bone Cleaver! The Ananda Gansha!”

Xiao Hong cried out in shock. The weapons held by the statue were identical in form to those two demonic tools.

However, the sight was unsettling.

Xiao Hong stared blankly at the shield and then at the statue. “So the beast head depicted on the shield originates from this type of demon.”

The head on the Ananda Gansha was a perfect match for the statue before them.

“This figure is known as Gansha,” Yunxiao said, stroking his chin thoughtfully. “Legend says he was an ancient Demon God who ruled the old Devil World. As for the Six Paths Demonic Weapons, they are Heavenly Saint Tools—existences that come into being with the creation of a world. It seems these weapons were born with the new Devil World but absorbed elements from the old one. That explains the presence of the Ananda Gansha.”

Sweat beaded on the referee’s forehead as he asked awkwardly, “Could this place be a remnant of the old Devil World?”

“Impossible,” Yunxiao countered. “The old Devil World is gone. The Ancient God Maha stated it was refined into a Realm Heraldry and taken to the Primal Chaos Cosmos by a madman.”

“Then how do you explain this?” Yi asked, frustrated. “The beast heads on the lamps seem to be creatures from that era. No wonder they are unrecognizable.”

Yunxiao’s face grew solemn. “Let’s go further. Perhaps Yuan has the answers.”

They bypassed the Gansha statue and moved deeper. Suddenly, a violent aura erupted, causing all four to tremble. Everyone except Yunxiao was forced back by the pressure.

“Yuan, it’s me!” Yi shouted quickly.

In response, a beam of demonic light blasted outward. The force was immense, shattering the walls into fine powder with a thunderous roar.

The Gansha statue disintegrated instantly.

Yunxiao’s eyes flashed. Space distorted as he teleported the group thousands of miles into the sky.

Yi and the others looked down, horrified.

The attack had obliterated the secret chamber. The ruins of the ancient building had completely collapsed.

A stunning sight was revealed below. A massive formation was etched into the earth, resembling a map of rivers and mountains. The edges of the array reached out to the surrounding landscape, greedily siphoning demonic Qi from the environment and funneling it into the center!

“A living formation?”

Yunxiao’s eyes narrowed as he spotted several thrones arranged in a circle at the heart of the array. Yuan sat cross-legged on one of them.

Opposite her sat an unfamiliar demon, also cross-legged, who was currently forcing various incantation seals into Yuan’s body.

Both possessed overwhelming auras that resonated with the array. The formation vibrated violently, and the surrounding structures were tossed into the air and pulverized.

“Who is that?” the referee gasped.

Yunxiao was equally stunned. Suddenly, he realized the truth. “Possession?!”

“What?”

Before the others could react, Yunxiao moved. A terrifying sword beam erupted from his hand and slashed downward!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The formation was cleaved in two, and the thrones were obliterated. The sword strike wiped the ruins clean, leaving nothing behind.

Yunxiao snorted coldly, his gaze piercing the dust.

Amidst the swirling debris, a figure emerged. It was Yuan, but she glared at them with eyes overflowing with murderous intent.

Yi was bewildered. “Yuan, what are you doing?”

“That is no longer Yuan,” Yunxiao declared. “Her body has been seized by the individual I saw just now.”

“Possession?”

Yi and the others were speechless. Was there truly a being capable of possessing a Saint Devil?

“You have keen eyes,” ‘Yuan’ said icily. “You nearly sabotaged my efforts!” The figure seemed to test the body, frowning in dissatisfaction. “If I had just a few more days to synchronize with this vessel, it would have been perfect. What a waste.”

A look of pure hatred crossed 'Yuan's' face as she stared at Yunxiao.

“You are also a Saint Devil, are you not?” Yunxiao asked calmly. “How dare you exploit someone’s vulnerability to take their body?”

‘Yuan’ snorted. “Of course I had to wait for her to be in danger. If she weren't compromised, how could I have succeeded?”

“Even more shameless than me?” Yunxiao was genuinely stunned. “You are truly a rarity.”

‘Yuan’ laughed. “Amusing. However, your body looks quite excellent. You are a male Saint Devil. Hand over your body to me, and I will discard this woman.”

“You think I’ll just comply?” Yunxiao sneered. “If I told you to drop dead, would you?”

“It is not your choice,” ‘Yuan’ laughed hideously.

A piercing cry rang out from within Yuan’s body as demonic light surged. Phantasms of strange beasts and birds—similar to the carvings in the secret room—swirled around her.

“What?” Yunxiao was taken aback. “Who exactly are you?”

“Haha!” ‘Yuan’ gave a bizarre laugh. “That is not for you to know.”

The demonic images danced briefly before plunging back into ‘Yuan’s’ body. Immediately, a titanic force erupted from her!

“Rising Sun Palm!”

Yunxiao was startled. This person’s strength exceeded that of a standard Saint Devil! Though not yet a Master of a Thousand Worlds, the power was comparable to his own.

He instantly retaliated with his greatsword, executing the ‘Sword Quaking the Demons’ technique!

BOOM!

The sword Qi collided with the palm strike and exploded. The sky shattered and the earth below cracked open.

Yi and the others were terrified and immediately retreated tens of thousands of feet.

“What?”

‘Yuan’ was shocked, staring at the sword in Yunxiao’s hand with disbelief. “The Mysterious Space?”

Yunxiao formed a sword seal and said coldly, “You are certainly not ordinary. I am quite curious about your true identity!”

Countless talismans from the Divine Realm Tablet surged from his body. Simultaneously, he reached out with his left hand, summoning purple lightning into the sky. He struck: “Myriad Thunder Tribulation—Origin of Heaven and Earth!”

Faced with the deluge of purple lightning, ‘Yuan’ turned pale and shouted, “You are the Realm King of the Heavenly Martial Realm! The one who slew Six-Winged?”

Despite the shock, ‘Yuan’ did not panic. She touched her brow, and a complex, multi-sided rune appeared. Her aura spiked once more. She reached into the air, launching a wave of demonic light to intercept the purple thunder!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

The very foundations of the world were being torn apart by the collision of these two titanic forces.

Yunxiao felt his spiritual energy draining rapidly. Under the pressure of his opponent’s divine ability, he felt the weight of the battle intensifying!
