The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2641: The Storm of the Root

The closer it drew, the more details Cain was able to discern, and once the approaching phenomenon finally entered full view, shock spread through the heart of the Scarlet King and every warrior of the Alliance.
The storm advancing across the horizon was not an elemental phenomenon, nor was it some natural universal catastrophe.
It was something far worse.
It was a gargantuan amalgamation of flesh, rot, and agony, an abomination that should never have existed. Countless layers of malformed flesh twisted together into a monstrous mass that stretched across the sky like a living tempest, its body constantly writhing and mutating as if reality itself struggled to tolerate its existence.
Shrieks, roars, and screams of agony echoed endlessly from within its depths.
"ARGHHH!"
"ROOOOAR!"
"SHRIIIIEEK!"
The horrifying sounds merged into a chorus of suffering that assaulted the mind and soul of all who heard it. If one focused on the gigantic faces spread throughout the storm like masks stretched across diseased flesh, they would immediately recognize them.
Those faces belonged to the Champions and High Lords of the Root.
They were the Alpha Omega Overgods who had escaped alongside Mikela and Nito after the destruction of the Worlds of the Root.
Cain had often wondered when those powerhouses would finally make their move. In truth, he had been genuinely surprised that Nito had not deployed them when the Ouroboros Stronghold first appeared, but now he finally understood the reason.
"It was not that he did not wish to use them," Cain thought as his eyes narrowed. "They were simply in the middle of their transformation into this monstrosity and only now have become battle-ready."
The grip around Tyranus Gungnir tightened.
Cain had prepared countless contingencies to deal with the Champions and High Lords of the Root. Although they remained powerful after losing the Worlds of the Root, they had also lost their greatest advantage: their near-endless capacity for regeneration. Without that support, they were dangerous but manageable.
The Storm of the Root was something entirely different.
It was an existence unlike anything he had anticipated.
Its body contained an almost incomprehensible amount of energy, enough to make even Cain feel a sense of pressure. However, what truly concerned him was not its offensive might.
It was its life force.
"The vitality of the Storm of the Root..." Cain muttered, a solemn light appearing in his eyes. "It has reached the Fourth Realm."
The words sent a chill through the nearby Alliance powerhouses.
Of course, possessing Fourth Realm vitality did not make the creature a true Fourth Realm existence. However, it meant that even attacks from Limit Alpha Omega Overgods would struggle to inflict meaningful damage upon it.
In the entire battlefield, only Cain possessed enough destructive power to truly threaten such an entity.
That realization immediately created a problem.
He would need to face Nito.
At the same time, someone would need to contain the Storm of the Root.
And there was no possibility of Cain handling both.
A fraction of a second of distraction while facing Nito would be equivalent to death.
The Curse Eater leader had already proven himself capable of matching the Scarlet King blow for blow, and now that he had further adapted to the power of the Samsara Eye, the danger he represented had only increased.
There was no time to continue thinking.
Nito and his forces were rapidly approaching.
The warriors of the Alliance instinctively turned toward Cain, waiting for his command as they searched for a solution to the terrifying new powerhouse their enemies had unveiled.
The Scarlet King’s grip around Tyranus Gungnir tightened further and further until, to everyone’s surprise, he suddenly released the weapon.
Gasps emerged across the battlefield.
Yet before the spear could fall, its form began to change.
The weapon expanded and twisted as overwhelming waves of psychic power erupted outward.
A colossal figure materialized in the sky.
The Chimera Will.
Its draconic and eldritch features combined into a form that inspired equal parts awe and horror. Massive wings spread across the heavens, while its golden-scarlet eye burned with intelligence and bloodlust. The pressure emanating from its body rivaled that of the greatest monsters in existence.
Allowing the Chimera Will to fight independently meant surrendering his strongest weapon and accepting a significant decrease in his own combat power.
However, Cain could see no other solution.
A Zero State Spear appeared in his hand as his aura erupted once more.
At the same time, Tyranus Gungnir unleashed a deafening roar filled with hunger and murderous intent as it turned its gaze toward the Storm of the Root.
To the Chimera Will, the abomination did not appear as an enemy.
It appeared as food.
An unimaginably powerful feast.
There was no hesitation.
There was no delay.
The moment their auras reached their peak, the Scarlet King and Tyranus Gungnir shot forward like twin stars crossing the heavens.
Naturally, Nito and the Storm of the Root did not remain idle.
The Curse Eater leader accelerated immediately while the gigantic abomination surged forward like a living tsunami of flesh and destruction.
The collision came moments later.
"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!"
A catastrophic explosion shook the battlefield.
The sky shattered like fragile glass as storms of energy erupted in every direction, tearing apart clouds and distorting space itself.
Neither side hesitated.
The moment their leaders clashed, the warriors of the Six Sacred Races and the Curse Eaters launched themselves forward as well, unleashing all the power they possessed.
Thousands upon thousands of explosions erupted simultaneously as the battlefield descended into chaos.
Meanwhile, the Storm of the Root unleashed its own assault.
Gigantic tendrils erupted from its body.
Massive spiked tails capable of piercing worlds shot across the sky.
Colossal skeletal arms emerged from the flesh storm, each one powerful enough to crush mountains as easily as pebbles.
Every attack was directed toward Tyranus Gungnir.
Yet the Chimera Will showed no fear.
Its wings beat once, generating a hurricane that scattered countless tendrils before it charged directly into the heart of the abomination.
A forest of bone spikes descended upon it.
The Chimera Will twisted through them with impossible agility.
A dozen colossal tails followed.
Its claws tore them apart.
Then one of the monstrous arms suddenly closed around its body.
The hand was so large that it could have crushed cities.
Just as the fingers were about to tighten, the wings of the Chimera Will expanded violently.
The razor-sharp feathers sliced through the rotting flesh, severing the arm completely.
However, instead of retreating, the Chimera Will opened its maw and devoured the severed pieces.
A thrill-filled light immediately appeared in its eye.
The energy contained within the Storm of the Root was immense.
Every bite strengthened it.
Every piece of flesh consumed increased its power.
Unfortunately for the Nine Empyrean Suns Alliance, while Tyranus Gungnir appeared to possess a natural advantage against the Storm of the Root, the same could not be said for the Scarlet King.
