The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order Chapter 2500 I am leaving
Previously on The Epic Tale of Chaos vs Order...
A momentary hush blanketed the area.
The auras emanating from the Eternal Soul King and the Nirvana Crown Prince
appeared suspended in the air as the two formidable powerhouses glared at each other over the battlefield.
In the very next breath, their powers erupted with devastating force.
The protective formations enveloping the Immortal Nirvana Stronghold sprang to life instantly. Vast runic arrays blazed along the fortress walls, unleashing a smothering gravitational lock that bore down on the Eternal Soul King's form.
Seizing that narrow window, the Nirvana Crown Prince lunged ahead.
His body streaked like a bolt of lightning.
Rebirth Flames erupted around his leg, as the Sacred Treasure fragments he bore pulsed with energy. His kick whipped out like a fiery lash, slamming straight at the Eternal Soul King's face.
"BOOM!"
A thunderous blast reverberated across the heavens.
The Eternal Soul King's head exploded like a blood-engorged balloon.
The battlefield held its breath for an instant.
Horror flickered across the Nirvana Crown Prince's widened eyes.
Of course, he'd relish slaying Sharka—yet he knew it wouldn't be so simple.
That left just one conclusion.
"A trap."
The idea had scarcely crossed his thoughts when Sharka materialized overhead.
A globe of azure energy formed between the Eternal Soul King's palms. It shuddered fiercely before unleashing its fury in one cataclysmic strike.
A colossal ray of searing soul plasma plunged toward the Crown Prince.
The Nirvana Crown Prince had mere seconds to respond.
He folded his wings protectively over himself right as the beam hit.
The collision hurled him earthward like a falling star, smashing his frame into the stronghold beneath.
Luckily, the fortress's defensive barrier caught the beam, halting it before it buried him.
A chilling grin crept onto Sharka's lips.
But it faded in a flash.
Hundreds of plasma-forged spears, ablaze with heat, hurtled toward him.
These matched the weapons once aimed at the Red King, yet now they swarmed in greater numbers and ferocity. Their intent shifted from mere repulsion to outright annihilation.
Sharka's gaze intensified.
With uncanny accuracy and impeccable combat prowess, he weaved through the onslaught of energy spears. His
motions flowed so fluidly it resembled a deadly ballet over the chaos.
Still, even he couldn't stay vulnerable indefinitely.
Dodging the volley, Sharka swiftly withdrew behind his forces.
At once, gigantic shields materialized over the Eternal Soul Kingdom's ranks.
The energy spears slammed into those defenses, erupting in dazzling flares.
Simultaneously, colossal siege engines at the rear unleashed their barrages.
"BOOOOM!"
"BOOOOM!"
"BOOOOM!"
One detonation after another pummeled the barrier shielding the Immortal Nirvana Stronghold.
The heavens swirled with vibrant energy waves as myriad forces clashed overhead. It formed a breathtaking yet horrifying spectacle.
Yet for the Immortal Nirvana Kingdom's fighters, it stirred profound dread.
The Nirvana Crown Prince climbed to his feet shortly after.
Singed marks marred his flesh, but Rebirth Flames cloaking him mended the injuries at a staggering pace, showcasing his bloodline's horrifying regeneration. Fists balled tight, he eyed the far-off fray.
"Dammit!" he snarled.
"I was so close."
He held the vital fragment to clinch triumph in the Eighth Realm offensive. But with the foe's host battering his gates, retreat was impossible.
"That is a very large army," a steady voice rang out close by. "And
they seem very committed. You have a long battle ahead."
The Nirvana Crown Prince's eyes jerked.
He spun around sharply.
Amid the assembled Royal Blutlinie stood the Red King.
His abrupt emergence stunned all onlookers.
Kyra and her fellow Immortal Nirvana Knights gaped at him, incredulous. Not one had detected his approach.
Had he struck rather than spoken, many would lie dead already.
While caution gripped his warriors' hearts, pure fury blazed in the Nirvana Crown Prince alone.
"Did you reveal the presence of the fragment?" he growled.
Only the Red King besides himself knew of the chest armor within the stronghold.
Unsurprisingly, doubt landed on him.
Hearing the charge, Kyra and the knights drew back, encircling the Red King. Though his presence chilled them, as proud warriors they quelled their terror, priming for combat.
Cain spotted their maneuvers.
Yet he merely grinned.
"Your force field blocks all communication from leaving the
stronghold," Cain stated evenly. "And I am sure you had multiple
surveillance arrays monitoring my every move."
His grin broadened a touch.
"I am equally certain you found nothing-because I did nothing."
The Nirvana Crown Prince scowled.
The Red King spoke truth.
He'd vigilantly tracked the man since his entry, spotting no signaling attempts. Naturally, that didn't rule it out entirely.
Paradise brimmed with Ancestor Powers that could evade such wards.
Still, from all he'd witnessed, the Red King's talents leaned heavily toward raw destruction over subtle aids.
Cain paid no heed to the deliberations churning in the Crown Prince's head.
He cast a quick look at the remote army, then fixed on the youth.
"The only reason I remained here was that you feared I might reveal
the existence of the treasure," Cain remarked offhandedly.
His voice stayed even.
"Now that the secret is already out, there is no reason for me to stay."
He pivoted.
"So I am leaving."
But as he stepped off, Kyra and the knights advanced, barring his way.
Cain gradually swiveled to face them.
His eyes ignited with light.
In every mind there, twin colossal scarlet eyes wreathed in flame loomed suddenly. They evoked bottomless abysses hungry for mind and soul alike.
"Of course," Cain said evenly, "I could also kill a few of you on my way
out."
His smile stretched wider.
"I could use the exercise."
